Bridget's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
We were there on a Sunday at 6:00 and had the option of Prix fix meal or anything off the menu. Four of us did the Prix fix and the rest just ordered off the menu. Our meals were delicious. The flatbread appetizer was short rib with caramelized onions - very good. I had the salmon which was delicious and it came with a dessert, which I tried the cheesecake and it was also very good! The Prix fix menu was great and it was the perfect amount of food. The steaks were delicious also. We shared an appetizer of fried calamari that was just wonderful. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning to try other items on the menu.
We’ve been to Bridget’s many times and it is one of our favorite restaurants.
We went to celebrate that after rough battle with cancer, my recent tests showed I am cancer free.
Our table was right next to bar. Rowdy people were standing next to us, almost on top of us where we could hardly talk.
My husband and I will keep coming back but they shouldn’t put a table immediately mixed in the with bar. It did not impact the great food and service but we were there to celebrate and it was disappointing we couldn’t even talk to each other at a happy celebration.
The food, presentation, serving sizes, taste & service were all great! Only complaint was when we went on open table for their New Years Eve suggested restaurants, which included all of the menus, Bridget's clearly showed their 5-6 p.m. pre-fix dinner for New Years eve. We booked a 5:30 reservation & when we went to order, they said they were not offering it that night! This was very misleading & we are not sure who is to blame for this -- the restaurant or Open Table! It ended up costing more money!
First time at Bridget’s but won’t be the last. Pre New Year dinner that couldn’t have been better. Started with a drink at the bar, good cocktails and great pours. Noise level in bar loud due to a group of people having after dinner drinks.
Sat in a small dining area off the bar with a door that helped drown out the bar noise.
Our server Sharon was wonderful, great suggestions about the menu. She was friendly and attentive and was there when we needed anything. A nice man checked on us as well, think he was the owner.
The filet was delicious, my husband had lobster tails- he was very happy.
Cappuccino and bread pudding topped off out fabulous meal.
Read reviews that complained about price, I found Bridget’s to be competitive with other chain steakhouses in the area, but Bridget’s menu and food much better.
We had a wonderful server, Sharon, who was extremely pleasant, personable and efficient. She truly is an asset to this restaurant. The food is consistently good and we were there the day after Xmas when it wasn't as noisy as usual. We felt bad for the valet parker who was outdoors with a non-working heater on a frigid evening (please get this fixed for these men who are providing a needed service)! This is not the first time that we have noticed these men freezing outside because the heater isn't working. This doesn't bode well for management... Otherwise, a very nice experience.
This was a holiday lunch with work colleagues. Everything was great. Only one problem. One guest order scallops which came accompanied but some kind of beef. This was not how it was described on the menu. It was pointed out to our waitress who apologized and took one glass of wine off the bill. But otherwise a very nice lunch.
Bridget's never disappoints. Four of us gathered on a Wednesday afternoon to celebrate an 80th birthday. Granted service was a little slow this time (there was only one server), but we still made our 2:00 movie. The food was excellent as always--1 filet, 1 salmon and 2 branzino. The branzino was exceptional, with mussels, gnocchi, brussel sprouts and a very deep, flavorful broth. (They need to update their website as it still has the summer version with crab and mango.) The filet is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. Great vodka martinis and manhattans and very good desserts.
We have dined here twice and both times food and service was exceptional. Prices are on the higher end but very worth it. Dining room is a nice place to sit if you actually want to talk to the person with you, not too quiet but not too loud. The filet mignon was so tender and the crab cake appetizer was excellent. Service was just right - just enough attention without being annoying.
I have been eating at Bridget's for years and have never been disappointed.
Though pricey, it's delicious!
Loved our waiter. Too bad that I did not find out his name (did he offer i;not sure), so I can't recommend him. He was attentive and made us feel comfortable. Sorry fella!!
Don’t waste your time coming here to this pretentious excuse for a steakhouse. The waiter was incrediably rude. The food was decent, although, we were rushed along with placing our order and from the time the appetizers were ordered to the main course coming out was within a half hour. All to be topped off by the waiter telling us he was not satisfied with his 18% gratuity on a bill that included about $100 worth of alcohol. Overall, a really bad experience. Don’t waste your hard earned money. Go to Barclay Prime.
Wait staff was awesome and very helpful with recommendations. Food was also great. I had the beet salad which was very fresh and tasty. Filet was cooked perfectly . Had a different sauce(horseradish) than what was offered on the menu which really went well with the filet. Will definitely return.
Bridget's was delicious. The service was excellent and you are given the appropriate amount of attention. The food looked to good to eat. It was delicious and the portions were a nice size. Their Happy Hour price fixed menu from 5-6 is worth the trip. Hope to get there again soon.
Food is always very good. Service this time was not great. It was a very busy Saturday night and they couldn't keep up. Entrees came out before the first-course had been removed. Didn't see our server until our dinner plates were empty, unfortunately so were our drink glasses.
This is our favorite Ambler resteraunt and our favorite outside of center city Philadelphia. We have never had a bad meal here. Service is outstanding and ambience very nice. Valet parking very appreciated. We did early bird special this visit and portions were perfect for a 50 and a 60 year old.
Service was outstanding. The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was great. A little on the loud side but all in all a top choice for a special meal. We dined there with family on our anniversary. Two short ribs, one sea bass special and one shrimp fra diablo. All were really delicious. Free valet parking. Definitely will go back for more special occasions.
We live in Ambler and visit Bridget's a few times a year, mostly for special occasions, as it is pricey. But, the food, service and ambiance make it well worth the cost. And, frankly, their prices are moderate compared to other steak houses where everything is a la carte. This visit we had the Caesar salad and the New York strip. The steak came with delicious poblano mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was just delicious! Excellent wine selection and a generous martini. We walk to the restaurant as we live so close, but there is valet parking and also ample parking at the adjacent SEPTA lot if you're visiting on the evening or weekend.
Excellent restaurant in Ambler. Celebrated my birthday with mom. They offer a fantastic prix fixxe 3 course meal for $35 from 5-6 PM and all day Monday's. We both enjoyed the crab cake for appetizer. I enjoyed the Seafood Fra Diavolo with scallop and shrimp and my mother's filer was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. Last, we both enjoyed our desserts too. The cheesecake and bananas foster were both great. Service was excellent!
