Bridges Wine Bar
Sometimes one good idea leads to another. Such is the case with Bridges. With the success of Music on the Square, we began imagining what could happen next. The location next door (19 North Indiana) was up for sale, so we bought it and began thinking of what would be complementary. We started imagining Bridges as a wine bar offering interesting wines to Greencastle. But we soon added a wood burning pizza oven from Italy and more of a restaurant evolved. Ultimately, the idea of Bridges Wine Bar was born. The basement has become a private dining room called The Cellar, an open terrace area on top of the building, which will be used in nice weather, called The Rooftop, and there will be three fully furnished rental apartments which we call The Lofts at Bridges.
We hope you will like our addition to the Square of Greencastle.
Love the lobster roll and the melon salad!!! Try it
What a gem! The food is amazing and the choices of wine are just wonderful! Absolutely love Bridges!
Bridges has quickly become the best restaurant in the Indy area. Excellent winelist, inventive dishes and absolutely the best staff and service.
We enjoyed it. Will definitely go again and will suggest it to others.
Everything was wonderful. The food is fantastic and the servers/bartenders are great. It’s a little pricey, but I think it’s worth every penny.
Food and atmosphere is unique and wonderful! Pizza and kale salad were yummy!
Every time I have been to Bridges the meal and service has been fantastic. From Pizza to pasta to wines everything is always top notch. A gem in Greencastle.
We came from Terre Haute with another couple for our first visit. It was delightful from beginning to end...great food, nice surrounds and informative and pleasant serving staff.
All in all, a GREAT experience. We will absolutely be back again!
As always, everything was perfect! Still my favorite place to go...;-)
A little gem in the heart of a small town! Excellent food served in a wonderfully warm atmosphere with every attention to detail.
Always enjoyable. Fabulous service and the food is phenomenal
Whenever we take our son or daughter back to DePauw we make a reservation at Bridges. We're thrilled that there is more than one great restaurant to eat in Greencastle. We love the pizzas...all of them are unique and delicious. Just this past weekend when we took our daughter back, we felt that the overall menu was a bit lacking....there was one steak to choose from (rib eye), no fish options and very few other meat dishes. Being a diabetic, I tend to gravitate toward fish, or chicken or pork. I hope this was just a "one time" experience. Service was great...we were seated in the basement Wine Cellar, so the noise level was a bit loud. We will definitely be back.
Love the pizza and wine! Great ambience. A little noisy at times when the restaurant is full.
Excellent food and wine. Love the roof and Chef Sal!
Food spot on!
Attention to every detail.
Get to this place you’ll love it.
Wonderful hidden secret. Love that they change their menu every week. This week wasn’t my personal favorite, but overall excellent evening.
We enjoyed the rooftop view as the sun set and It was much quieter up there then inside. I am thankful that they now have shade, the pergola is great!
Fabulous as usual!
It’s really weird to serve the food in plastic containers though our server tried to explain the reasoning behind this. A singer began performing at 6 and that was the end of conversation.
Excellent service, great food & environment... what more could you ask for?
We started the evening on the roof top, which was just lovely and came to the main dining room for dinner: delicious!!!
Very cool place. Beautiful views. Great staff. Had a great time with my girlfriends.
Staff were welcoming. Aesthetics were trendy and fun. The rooftop menu (both food and wine) was limited in choice. Because of this we choose to take dessert on the ground level. The noise factor was very high. We would come back but it will be awhile.
Great food and drinks but it is a bit expensive. Small college town do i expect that. I will be back.
Had to wait over fifteen minutes past our reservation time for a table.
Service was good, but slow a times.
Food and wine were great!
Loved the pizza and wine. Great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
Bridges is almost always a great place to have dinner with a few friends-- the menu is not extensive, but everything I've ever ordered has been tasty. This time the three of us splurged and ordered two appetizers (prawns and clams), a kale salad, two pizzas (mushroom/arugula and fig/prosciutto), and one order of ice cream, as well as a few glasses of rosé. We had four pieces of leftover pizza and everyone was full and happy. All of the food was delicious (the prawns were fantastic, and the sauce for the clams was outstanding), and the service was friendly, accurate, and efficient. We stayed two hours (didn't feel rushed at all), had a great conversation, saw a few friends from town come in, and overall enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
Samantha was attentive, knowledgeable with her suggestions without being pushy. We enjoyed the charcuterie, a delicious craft pizza with wine. Went there because George from Wine Bar George at Disney Springs suggested it when he found out we were from Indy.
The food options are a bit odd. Both my husband and I wish they had more "normal" appetizers like garlic knots or breadsticks, considering it is a pizza restaurant. I like their specialty pizzas but also wish they had other pizza options to choose from, if you don't want a specialty and just want mushroom & sausage or pepperoni and green pepper (for example). Atmosphere is great but service was a bit slow. Definitely overpriced for what we had. We paid $48 for a pizza, salad, and two cocktails.
This place is such a hidden gem. I'm so happy we found it - amazing pizza and wine! I love their rooftop bar as well. Just an overall great experience.
The food was phenomenal!!! Katie, our server was fantastic and fun. She provided the best service I've had in a very long time and was very patient with us as we explored the menu.
Great unique dishes. Serving staff knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. New rooftop bar area so lovely and inviting. Big City ambiance in a sleepy Indiana college town!
Beautiful place. Wonderful ambiance. Delicious, interesting food.
My wife and I went to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary as this is our favorite restaurant. The staff went out of their way to make it a special occasion for us. We felt pampered and our food was amazing as always. I can't praise them enough and as always can't wait till we go back.
Great food & service!!
Always a great place to spend evening with friends. Loved the addition of the music!
James took very good care of us! He was very personable as well as very professional! And the food was awesome!! It was a perfect date night!
Great food and the staff is friendly. The green eggs and ham pizza is phenomenal!
Very beautiful restaurant! The handmade pizzas cooked in their Wood Fired oven are outstanding.
Rooftop seating was awesome! Great live music! Food and drinks were both outstanding.
