The food was just as we'd expected and the server was so friendly and accommodating. We felt very safe with the Covid-10 measures in place. The ambiance was great too- we found our dinner to be so relaxing after a 10K walk through False Creek.
New year brunch with kids, nice and quiet!
Hi Grace! I'm glad you and the kids enjoyed yourselves. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and I hope that you and the family have a safe and happy New Year!
Bridges restaurant is at a nice location, however they could do alot with the location they are situated in. My first experience was communication with Chris on reserving the table was really good and he made sure that a table was reserved; upon entering the restaurant, the staff were also polite and helpful. Ambiance of the REstaurant - the windows definitely need cleaning and the chairs need to be upgraded especially for downstairs sitting. We noticed that a stack of better chairs were stored away in a space near the ceiling and that could have used for the downstairs sitting. I order a seafood food - cannot recall the name but it was like a soup with a mixture of seafood - fish, mussles and prawns. These came cold and without the Foccacia bread. I called the server to say the bread was missing but nothing came. We were wanting to have a dessert, but with the cold food and no bread, we decided to leave. It was also out anniversary. However the Manager on Duty, I believe her name was Mandy, she took the dinner charges upon herself and apologized for the serving. So I feel the staff are doing the best, but if the Chef and the Owner are not upto the par, there will be more disappointed customers.
We dined on New Years Eve. Service was excellent, our waitress was very friendly, food was good. Overall we enjoyed our experience.
Hello Fernanda, I'm so glad that you enjoyed your time with us. Thank you for the excellent review and I wish you and yours a healthy and happy New Year. Cheers!
The services were great and the physically distance was maintained, high ceiling makes dinners feel safe. Thank you.
Hi FoodieFoodie! Thank you so much for the acknowledgment ( and you're welcome anytime!). I'm glad you found our space comfortable and I hope you get the chance to join us again in 2021. Have a happy and healthy New Year!
The food portion seems a bit small for the price range
Always a good experience at Bridges whether it is the outdoor patio, indoor bistro or upstairs dining room.
Hello Nancy and thank you for the excellent review! We appreciate the kind words and look forward to having you back again this holiday season. I wish you and yours the very best for now and the New Year. Cheers!
Disappointed to be in the pub, thought we would be upstairs in the restaurant. We were expecting a higher end experience instead it was mediocre for the price.
Our household of two visited for dinner and selected Bridges because of previous outings there. We knew the health protocols would be done well, and the food is always excellent. Our server was very attentive and followed all the necessary protocol requirements.
Linda, thank you so much for the kinds words and the awesome review. I appreciate the feedback and wish that you and your household have a safe and happy holiday season. We hope you get the chance to visit us again soon. Cheers!
Was a little chilly by the big windows which made a couple of seniors uncomfortable - the view was fantastic!
First time to the upper level, great view! A lot of space between tables. Our server was great, wasn't on us like a hawk, but would check on us during the right times. Overall volume wasn't too loud or overly quiet.
Hello there, and thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. We appreciate the positive review! I'm very glad that you enjoyed the view from the Dining Room and that it was comfortable. I hope you get the chance to visit us again during the holiday season! Cheers.
Great food. My steak was so tender! and Tuna Burger is to die for.
The cocktail were not that great to be honest but the service is fantastic and the staff really nice.
Great place to go to!
We had to wait over an hour for our entrees to arrive because the kitchen kept on burning what we asked for. The server said that they were having too much trouble making it so they took that item off the menu and our meal would be on the house; which was a good save. Not a fan of the salmon benny, too bitter for some reason.
We came for brunch, we were seated upstairs and had a beautiful view of the water. The food was excellent and our server was very attentive and helpful. A wonderful special occasion place for brunch
Hello Christine and thank you for leaving a positive review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the view from upstairs and that brunch was a great experience. I hope you have a healthy and happy holiday season and I hope you will visit us again soon!
Great experience, and service under these circumstances.
Hi, and thank you for the excellent review. I really appreciate the positive comments. We hope to see you again during the holiday season. Cheers.
Not your parents Bridges! My parents use to take us here for special occasions, but the food & service seem to be much better than I remember. I was here a couple of times this summer, but this was the first time I sat upstairs in a long time. It’s probably one of the best views in the city. Tons of free parking too which I think is new.
Thank you SteakGuy for leaving an awesome review! I'm happy that you enjoyed the 2nd level view and the food to go with it. You are right about the free parking, it is relatively new ( since the spring) and should continue in the foreseeable future. I hope to see you here again soon and I wish you a happy holiday season. Cheers.
There are four parts to Bridges - I like them all - the outside deck is amazing on warm days, the Up stairs is great for viewing and the Bar is intimate for great chats by the fire, and the Bistro is great fun, nearly the deck with warmth! Bridges has been an institution for decades and the staff tell me there is plans to renovate post COVID! So it will be extra excellent in the future!
The upper level was very beautiful and quiet. Recommend for a date night!
Bridges’ COVID protocols are exceptional. It was lovely to have an elegant lunch out while feeling totally comfortable outside of our own home.
Great deals for Happy Hour and a spectacular view!
Excellent night! Staff was super friendly and accommodating ( we added a new guest ( family). Service was quick and waitress was very attentive and on the ball. Thanks for a great experience!
Food was average, service good, no rush to go back except for beers
Bridges staff are diligent in following all the required COVID-19 protocols for restaurants. We felt very comfortable at our well-spaced indoor table. All staff work masks all the time, and the food service met all the sanitation protocols.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, and we were not rushed with our leisurely dinner.
It was great! I was happily surprised by the salmon that is usually dry in other restaurants, but this one was juicy and delicious, with good sauce!
Mussels were good as well. Nice view on the boats.
Only bad thing is that I booked a table 8 hours in advance and specified to get a table close to the windows, we had to wait 15-20 to get that table instead of a basic table at the entrance. Apart from that it was great!
Well organized with pandemic safety in mind. Mushroom frittata at brunch was delicious. Friendly and attentive server. As always, beautiful views of the water.
Service was good, food was good, everything about the dinner was good except they brought me the bill with the cancelled item at the end. Though she quickly fixed it after I pointed it out. Online menu idea was great as well. With Covid-19 situation it is sometimes not preferable to touch the physical menu especially when we do not know how often they sanitize it. It is a minor issue but tables were too sticky as well which wasn’t ideal.
The reason I only gave 3 stars for service is not necessarily because of the server I had, but because of the response we received over the phone after I left. After I left I realized I have left my mask(hand-made) at the table so I called them, and asked them if they could check the table for me. They checked and said they could not find anything on the table, and nothing was turned in. I knew it has to be in the restaurant so as I was heading back, I asked my girlfriend to call again and this time she asked for the server we had during our stay. The person on the phone told me she might have left already for the day. She asked us if we wanted her to check if she is still around so we said yes. She put us on hold, and we waited for like 15 minutes on the phone until someone else picked up the phone who had no idea why we were on hold. Luckily I was able to get back to the restaurant(while we were still on holds) and found the server. She asked around and later manager came back to me with the mask. I was thankful that they kept the mask for me, but the service we received on the phone wasn’t great. I still gave 3 stars because I love the restaurant, and the service while on the restaurant is always great, but it seems like whoever was on the phone didn’t really care about my concerns. They said they didn’t have anything turned in, but they had my mask. They said the waitress might have left already, but she was serving the same table when I entered the restaurant.
Except for that experience on the phone, everything was great.
First visit for brunch. Food was great and our server, Cassidy, was friendly, very knowledgeable and very attentive.
A very nice experience. Thank you, Cassidy, for making it one I'd recommend.
What a wonderful way to spend a gorgeous afternoon day in Vancouver! Right on the patio near the water; watching the amazingly incredible yachts that go by! And the views~!
Great food and happy hour!
The deck at Bridges is a great spot when the weather permits. The menu is varied, the food well prepared and presented. The wait staff is pleasant, efficient and friendly.
We had a very nice lunch for two, seated inside beside an open door. Great service and food and good social distancing protocols. Thanks.
Bridges is one of my favourite restaurants to dine outside with unparalleled views, excellent food choices, great service and expected prices given the location. My friends and I frequent if for lunch dates, birthdays and just plain "made up" occasions.
My Beyond meat burger was served cold and without ketchup even though I specifically requested ketchup. The problems were remedied promptly but it would have been nice to eat at the same time as my husband. He said his meal was fine but not spectacular. The location is great!
Second time this summer and loved it as much as first time.
Fabulous!
Thank you so much for coming back to visit us again! Please feel free to join us throughout the fall, possibly for Weekend Brunch?! See you again soon.
Great place! Tuna burger excellent as well as cocktails!
Cat was very nice! She seemed very genuine. And view was awesome.
Thank you very much for the kind words for us and for Kat. I will definitely pass along your comments to her. Please visit us again for the fall!
It’s been my happy pleasure to dine on Bridges patio, twice this summer. Everything is set up to make you feel safe & cared for. The food is delicious and the staff top notch!
Barbara, thank you for your kind words for our service and care. I appreciate the review and I hope you find a chance to visit us through the fall!
We loved our waitress Anna
Thank you for the awesome review for us and for Anna in particular! I hope you get the chance to visit us all again very soon.
Nice, large, spacious patio.
Thank you very much for your visit and for the positive review!
My only criticism is of the practice of taking away the plate from one or more of the people at the table before everyone has finished eating. It seems to happen at many restaurants these days, and it shouldn’t, because it makes the ones who haven’t finished feel rushed.
Beautiful view on the waterfront. Staff are very helpful and follow all Covid guidelines.
Parking currently is free which makes this a central meeting place.
