With respect to food, this was truly one of the best restaurant meals I have ever had. The "for the table" starter of red beet risotto was outstanding; it was creamy with a beautiful beet color and topped with pieces of steamed pink beet (this was the key to sending it over-the-top) as well as two different cheeses--this is not to be missed! The two mains that my date and I shared were as wonderful as the starter. First was grilled, line-caught swordfish, atop a bed of black lentils with butternut squash and Applewood smoked bacon; the complex, smoky, earthiness of this dish was deeply satisfying and perfect for a chilly evening. On a par (or maybe even a bit favored) was rare ahi tuna on a sticky rice cake containing Chinese sausages. The rice cake was browned to a wonderful crunch on the outside; it was full of salty soy and sesame flavors and a texture that complemented the velvetiness of the tuna perfectly. For dessert we had pear tart with huckleberry syrup and ginger ice cream. The presentation of this was lovely, but the flavor was not particularly special; the pastry was a bit disappointing with regard to flavor and texture and neither of us tasted any ginger in the ice cream.
It was a VERY busy night at Bridges, perhaps because it is the holiday season. However, despite the busyness, the service was attentive (maybe a little too fast in removing my dinner plate since I was still chewing). The restaurant was packed and the patio was closed because the evening was chilly. Consequently, the restaurant was very noisy, and conversation was a bit difficult. For food this good, however, I am willing to tolerate the noise. I think this would be a lovely place on a summer's evening to enjoy dinner on the patio; I imagine it would be a bit quieter. Wine list was also good.

Extremely noisy from a party. Very slow service. Took almost 40 minutes to get a salad and burger and neither was anything special. Over hyped.

Bridges was beautifully and festively decorated for Christmas. We were quickly seated and served. Our luncheon salads were fresh and delicious and the waitress surprised my friend with a delicious chocolate, whip-cream iced cupcake with ”Happy Birthday” written on the serving plate in chocolate. Thank you, Bridges, for a scrumptious and wonderful birthday celebration for my dear friend!

Great food, decent vegetarian options, a little loud and the seats near the patio door were a little cold, but not terribly. Excellent service, overall 4.7/5.

We had a tasty, affordable, and fun Thanksgiving dinner at Bridges. Although there was no vegetarian option on the menu, the chef had one for those who asked, and along with the sides provided at no extra charge, the meal was quite satisfying. The appetizers were nicely put together, but the beet salad was a too tiny for preference. The deserts were very beautifully arranged as well as tasty. Service was mostly good, although I did have to get up to get the attention of my server at one point.

The baked brie appetizer was barely warm. The Brussels sprout salad was raw, which was not indicated on the menu. The entree was nothing spectacular. Service though was excellent.

Ambience and service were amazing. My girlfriend has been wanting to go here forever since seeing it on Check Please.

The food fell short , it had the foofy added to it without the tastes or quality . I️ had the seared tuna and as clean of a catch that is you could tell it was 2-3 days old ( fishy taste ) . The kimchee and sauce thankfully balanced out the fishy taste . For the rest of the menu The dishes were rather basic and I️ wasn’t too much a fan of the fall menu having squash, pumpkin risotto in every damn meal. The only way to avoid the fall menu was to go with steak and fries .

The place is a local gem from what I️ know and the food is good , but not great. Not something I️ would choose for a special occasion , but would go back for lunch or a drink if in the area.

Good wine selection

Parking is getting tougher, but that is because of all the great places to eat so close by with Bridges being at the top of the list. Always great service and food. We always get appetizers and salads before the main course because they are just too good to pass on. Saturday nights can be busy and a bit loud, but it is a happy loud and folks are having a good time enjoying a great meal.

We had a wonderful experience at Bridges this evening. A nice before dinner happy hour cocktail and truffle fries with the nicest bartenders and then a great dinner with impeccable service. Seared tuna done just right and a filet done medium rare made a perfect combination to share. We’ll be back!

I hadn't eaten at Bridges for a while and a house guest remembered eating there and wanted to go again. Sadly, we were both disappointed. The entrees were limited, the entree descriptions weren't appetizing and we finally selected the New York steak. It tasted as though it were grilled in oil, probably wasn't 1/2 inch thick and was so tough you could hardly cut it. The blue cheese grits that were served with it were disgusting. The best part of the meal was the ice cream. Sadly, after many years of dining....I will never eat at Bridges again.

One of the oldest restaurants in Danville so less trendy but it always pleases. The chef has eliminated the "fusion" entries on the menu which is a good thing in that Bridges has gone back to basics which it does quite well.

The food was excellent, as was our waiter. The kitchen food runners are lacking, though. Our entrees arrived while we were in the middle of our salads, and the runner failed to apologize, she just rearranged everything on the table in order to jam our entree plates onto the table. She had no concern that the entrees were early, and did not seem to care. Our waiter did apologize after I pointed out that this was a significant faux pas, and he did comp dessert and coffee as a result.

Fine dining locations such as Bridges SHOULD KNOW not to bring the entrees until the salad plates have been cleared, and the complete lack of caring by the food runner was appalling.

Salads were bland, the steak was horribly over cooked (and also tasted and looked like it was expired). The location of the table that we received was awful, despite making a reservation a week in advance and requesting a great spot. Service was on the slow side. Won’t be going back again.

Slow and inattentive service. The servers were either new or forgetful. We were seated promptly upon arrival but server did not come to our table for at least 10 minutes. She finally came and greeted us at the table. Took her a long time to come back to us to take our drink orders. Even the hostess realized that we did not have any drinks on the table the whole time and offer to take our wine order. Then another long wait before our waitress came back with the bottle of wine.

We ordered the soup of the day which was squash soup. It came out luke warm and really watery. It was so blend that I think canned soup tastes better than that. I also ordered the duck breast entree with cous cous salad. The duck breast came out warm and the skin was soggy. Dessert was NOT good either. We ordered the chocolate souffle cakes and once again it came out cold. I believe chocolate souffle cake supposed to be hot/warm.

Total disappointment on this restaurant.

We were celebrating a friend’s birthday after church on Sunday. I had the avocado toast and salad and it was very good. My friends tried the burger and they really liked their choice as well. I was impressed with the live acoustic guitar artist who even came by to sing Happy Birthday to our friend. It was truly amazing.
