Service started slow. No waitress not waiter approached us To check if we were ready to order. We had to call the attention of a busboy who left to call the waitress assigned to our table. Apart from this, everything was perfect as always.
This was our first time at Bridges where we had lunch. Our waiter was very busy and we had to wait to get things like salt & pepper, coffee, etc.. but he was very courteous. Bus staff could have picked up the slack but I don’t think the structure was in place for them to do that. The food was OK. The location is lovely: the patio is set away from the street so it is peaceful and quiet with redwoods and a lot of plants. It was nice trying it but I don’t think we will go out of our way to go back.
We enjoyed our meal at Bridges. My husband had the Salmon and I had the Swordfish. For an appetizer we enjoyed baked Brie and pear which was delicious. For dessert I had expressions ice cream with chocolate shavings which is housemade. We would have enjoyed sitting outside listening to music but they were very busy and we had to sit inside. Quite noisy but enjoyable.
Service was poor, food was not even average. We ordered NY steak and fresh catch of day; swordfish, in the future would not eat there unless maybe the bar specials. Music and outdoor seating is terrific, all the rest ... not good
Food and service is consistently good. Never disappointed.
The service was superb. The ambiance was friendly, busy and very noisy. My wife ordered the New York Steak, my daughter the Tuna, and both enjoyed their meal. I ordered the pork chop, and sent it back because it was way over cooked. Its replacement was better but certainly not to my liking. I didn't eat but a few bites. I was disappointed considering its cost. We drove in from Benicia, not sure if I would do it again.
The menu was very limited at brunch and lunch. I’m fact, it was so limited that I ordered a cheeseburger. The burger had a very charred taste to it. There was no mayonnaise- just a flavored aioli, which I found warm , (temperature wise), and not pleasant tasting.
We had a terrific brunch while meeting some family from out of state that we had never met before. The food was very good (7 of us ordered a variety of dishes and liked them). The service was excellent. We had a young, enthusiastic and engaged waiter. I really appreciated the restaurant accommodating my food sensitivities and being so nice about it. We sat outside on the patio, which was beautiful. The whole experience was perfect.
Bomb amazing great grand wonderful
It was our beighbors’s first time; and they definitely loved it! There were a lot of private parties, so we were happy to go at 5:45pm and leave, as service definietly dropped after 7:30 pm because it was so busy.
We drove from Modesto and our son drove from Marin so we chose Bridges as a halfway point. We used to go to Wente for Sunday brunch but that is no longer available. We couldn't have been more pleased with our new choice! We have designated Bridges as our new halfway spot. We were celebrating two birthdays and Bridges surprised us with song and dessert!. Brunch/lunch choices all looked wonderful. The guys went for the gourmet burger and I had the grilled prawn Chinese noodle salad. We would all order our choices again but it is very tempting to explore the menu. The lamb shanks and the chicken and waffles were on our list as well as the shaved brussel sprout salad. It was too cool for us to eat on the lovely patio even with heat lamps but we will do that weather permitting. Nicole was our waitress and she was a pleasure to be with, very informative and friendly. This was a great experience. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Great place, great food! Of course made famous by Mrs Doubtfire but far from a tourist trap. Definitely worth the trip from San Francisco if your in the area
Been going here for years, place has gotten out of hand with the noise level
2 birthday celebrations. Was quite terribly noisy.
The atmosphere has completely changed at Bridges. Upscale fine dinning is not the emphasis. Food preparation, ingredients, and creativity are a bit diminished, but by the busy activity on a Saturday night, diners have adjusted their expectations. Enjoyed our meal, if we kept in mind that it’s become more of a neighborhood restaurant. The cafeteria style laminated faux wood chairs are a real challenge to overcome in that space. Sorry to see the changes, but suppose that’s a direction Bridges had to take to stay afloat.
Pretty much same menu they have had for quite sometime. Missing their spring rolls and plum sauce they used to have for an appetizer. No potatoes of any kind offered. Food was only ok. Lintel soup was outstanding. The prawns in the Mexican Thai dinner were over cooked. Not an exciting type menu. It will be a long time before we are back. Too many great restaurants are in the area. Maybe if menu changes.
Three of us ordered the salmon salad and it came with a yellow sauce that tasted horrible! It tasted like dish soap. We asked for the salads to be re-made and the waiter agreed but did not apologize or offer us any sort of discount. I have never sent food back or written reviews but I was expecting a wonderful meal and it was not good at all. Wilted lettuce, not seasoned well and the horrible sauce. Very disappointing for a high end restaurant. It was my moms birthday and she didn't even eat her salad.
The restaurant is amazing. We had lunch outside and the outdoor patio was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious!
Great menu. Great food. Great service. Great restaurant. Always consistent. A real gem.
Food was terrific. The chef was very accommodating to our needs. Kyle, our server, was excellent. Noise level was too high. Difficult to have a conversation. We like Bridges but noise level is an issue.
We’ve been to Bridges several times before and have always had a wonderful experience and this time was no different other than an even hotter entree (always good!). The food was delicious, service was excellent and I have to commend Bridges on a consistently positive experience every time we visit!
As always, dining at Bridges was a very pleasurable experience. The food was excellent, EXCEPT for the dressing on the baby spinach salad...we both thought it was way to oily/greasy.
Appreciated the wait staff for my business dinner. Our server Brian was very professional and attentive demeanor which is really appreciated. They are also very accommodating to our request as needed. Thank you.
Always a pleasure for a special occasion. Great Service. Lovely gluten-free dessert
for my Birthday Guest. so kind of the Chef to do that. It was very very tasty for both of us.
Both myself and my friend had the salmon on top of a lettuce bed. The salmon was good an cooked well but the creme fraiche sauce with mustard had an unpleasant metallic taste and we both sent ours back to have the sauce removed..A birthday cupcake was nicely served to my friend.
Birthday, nicely played cupcake with Happy Birthday.
4 of us celebrated a birthday- we ordered smaller plates (salad, appetizers & shared)
It was delicious, service was great & we had a nice time!
A gracious atmosphere and an excellent waiter really don't offset the prices especially in consideration of portions on the small side.
Beautiful day to enjoy Easter brunch on the patio.
Love coming here and have for holidays. Our Easter brunch was good
We go to Bridges often and it never disappoints! The food was incredible, we had an appetizer, Salad, and entree and all of it was delicious. Our waiter was awesome, we brought our own wine and he decanted it right away. We also sat outside and there was live entertainment! Always a great place to eat!
Food was excellent and service was good. We haven’t been in a few years but still a very good experience.
We had not been to Bridges for many years & decided to have lunch there. It was a pleasant warm day & the patio was restful. Everything was excellent. The only negative was that the music needs to be in the background(ie, softer) & more suited(less musak) to this casual/elegant restaurant.
Great brunch with $4 mimosas!
Had not been here in quite a few years. Went for my 60th birthday and we all had fantastic meals: Swordfish was incredible as was the Lamb shank. We enjoyed the spinach salad to start and finished off with Chocolate creme brulee
We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. It was a very nice day so we sat outside. The food was great as it always is. I think we were in a change in servers so the service was a little off but overall everything was great
The food was beautifully presented and delicious. We had a quiet table just like we requested. The service was excellent attentive and timely.
