Had an enjoyable dinner there for Father's Day. It was annoying that there were only two fish options and both of them were entirely sold out by 7 PM. They did a good job of working with my mother-in-law's allergies and the service was pretty prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, the steak that I ordered was mediocre with a fair amount of gristle and uneven interior temperature. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and I'd like to return to try their regular menu.
The only negative was the insect that kept floating around our inside table. But it is to be expected on a warm night with all the windows open.
The Fathers Day Brunch menu selection was rather disappointing, from the appetizers down to the dessert. Totally not worth the price.
Though weve been dining here occassionally, it was our first Fathers Day brunch with them and was really not satisfied. They should have offered their regular menu as another option to choose from.
To sum it all, after the meal we all wished weve gone somewhere else.
Not worth it, the choice of desert was very bad for a 3 course meal on Father’s Day . I would not spend $250 for party of 4 and not have a decent desert menu .
Most of the service people were outstandingly accommodating and enthusiastic. I would say that the hostesses could have been a bit more friendly and welcoming. For example, when I asked if it would be possible to switch to outdoor seating, one of them sort of "huffed," and said "We will do our best." She was obviously not thrilled with the request. And yet there was ample seating outside. The table next to us didn't even become occupied until we were almost ready to leave. Our waiter, however, was outstanding -- a really nice and helpful young man. The other really helpful and happy person that stood out was the gentleman who takes care of getting the heaters place by the tables. He was great. I had jokingly told him that my cousins who were with us were weather "wimps" from LA. He was amused but then went out of his way to get us TWO heaters. :-)
I go to Bridges often for lunch meetings and dinner engagements. Great menu, great atmosphere, and the service is excellent.
Terrible! Service was horrible even though our server mentioned she had only two tables.
Food only so so.
Mugs dirty as replaced only to have the replacement mugs to arrive dirty. When pouring the tea from the teapot, a bug comes out. Requested new tea. The original teapot remained on the table. Then to add insult we were charged for two pots of tea.
Terrible all around.
The best part of our experience was the young man who replaced the tea cups. He was embarrassed.
I have eaten at Bridges many time and it has never been unacceptable.
Very nice lunch outdoors on the patio. Had the Big Eye tuna poke bowl, which was well-presented, fresh and a nice mix of vegetables and mango. My dining partner had the daily special, an arugula salad which she enjoyed. They provided a nice complementary chocolate cupcake with whipped cream and raspberry sauce for her birthday, which was appreciated. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the setting makes for a relaxing leisurely meal together. Well done!
Mrs Doubtfire fans from the UK. Came for the 90s nostalgia, left having had a v nice meal and pleasant evening! Fairly pricey but then it is Miranda Hillard’s favourite restaurant.
On an exceedingly uncomfortable, hot day, we were most comfortably cool inside the restaurant, next to a window overlooking the shaded patio. The service was superb, the food excellent (one seafood cioppino with side salad, one hot pastrami sandwich with accompanying salad). The salad accompanying the sandwich was about the same, large, size as the salad ordered as a side with the cioppino. Both were excellent. My memories of notable pastrami sandwiches in the past (Tommy's Joynt in the 1950s, the Stage Deli in the 1960s) have faded far too much for comparison; but to me the Bridges' version was just fine-- I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We always experience excellent service, food, ambience, and it's easy to book reservations via OpenTable. The staff follows up the day before to call and confirm, just in case . .
Love your patio! And the prawn noodle salad!!!
I love the Ahi Poke Bowl. It’s perfect and I order it almost everytime.
I always enjoy coming to Bridges. This time was on a Monday night so it was a little quieter but there are occasions when I think the noise level gets pretty intense. The service is always excellent I do enjoy the food but this time I ordered the salmon and I tried to describe how I wanted it cooked but it still arrived too
well done. I also thought that the seasonings on the vegetables it’s sat on was a little overwhelming. I probably won’t order the salmon again.
Please, please get rid of the hard wooden chairs in the back dinning area. I had to go to my car for a pillow and still was vary uncomfortable. Nearly ruined an otherwise pleasant experience. My dinner mates agreed.
Special good bye dinner! Saying farewell to an old friend moving back to Mississippi. And as always Bridges consistent good food, atmosphere and service gave us a good meal and a special dessert to celebrate!!!
While I was expecting the lunch menu for Saturday at 1pm, the brunch menu was lovely and satisfied everyone in my party. The $4 mimosas are a steal and the shrimp noodle salad had to come home with us because it was so large and tasty. The pork hash was a little on the small side but flavorful. The avocado toast was perfect size and delicious. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the music.
We went for a date night and loved it! Service was great and the food was worth the drive.
We went to Bridges with our family for my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious and the service, excellent. We sat near the patio and the weather and setting were lovely. The only drawback was the noise. We couldn’t really hear each other talking across our table for six but it was still a fun celebration.
This was a very nice surprise. I look forward to going back.
I rate the food, service & ambience a solid ‘10’!
Lovely atmosphere, waitress was friendly and attentive. Great variety on the menu. Parking nearby. Choice of inside or outside dining.
I enjoyed the pastrami sandwich. Very tasty and not overwhelmed with huge chunks of bread. The French fries were crispy and hot. The waitress kept my ice tea replenished. Perfect!
The waiters were too obtrusive, interrupting important conversations on every approach. Then brought the bill before we had decided on dessert. Very young and amateurish.
Bridges used to my favorite restaurant. No more the last experience the food was was over cooked . Service was slow and neglectful. My meal had no flavor .
Very nice dinner. Tuna was amazing. Highly recommend
You guys need more variety in the menu. Same menu in recent memory. The lettuce cups were excellent but give us some new entrees. Please !!!!
Loved the cocktails, dinner was delicious and the dessert was a knockout. Good as usual. I miss the dessert sampler from years ago but still eat here often.
Bridges is the best restaurant in Danville.
Always enjoy bringing out of town guests.
We had Ben as our server and he was wonderful! He made our lunch so pleasant and fun. We look for him whenever we are dining at Bridges. Our food was great. We brought friends who had never been there before and they loved it!
Had Margaritas in bar until restaurant opened, bar service was excellent as were the Margaritas. Had requested a booth if available, we were seated at a table next to windows facing the patio, which was a nice bright table in a semi dark dining room. We started with a Mushroom Risotto appetizer, which was very good. My wife ordered the Halibut special dish which she enjoyed very much. I ordered the New York steak which was served with a Horseradish Crema which I did not care for so I scraped off as much as I could. The steak was very tender and came medium rare as ordered. The steak could have been more favorable, maybe that's why it's served with the Crema sauce. Our server was excellent. We noted on our reservation that we were celebrating our Anniversary, but no mention was made nor was there any small dessert offered as a gift.
We had to move our table because of a group that was a little loud and Bridges was wonderful and accomadating.
Good food, great service. Cool to dine at the same location Mrs. Doubtfire was filmed.
Bridges always delivers an excellent experience. Brian, our server, was phenomenal, fun, and attentive. Our party of four really enjoyed the flavors of the various dishes. Since it was raining, the inside was packed so the noise level was higher, yet we really recommend Bridges for creative dishes and first class service. Thanks Brian for making our evening very special!
As usual, Bridges did not let us down. The staff and service made our special celebration even more special. Thank you, again, Bridges!!!!
My husband wasn't too sure about coming because he's often not impressed with menu's around Danville, but wow was he happily surprised! From beginning to end the service, food and ambiance was great. The creativity on the menu was better than expected and very tasty. Our server was both knowledgeable and attentive. Good value as well. We will be back!
This place is great for celebrations and very comfy , I love the Brie app delicious and the salmon yummy, and I love the fact Miss Doubtfire was filmed here ♥️
We had never been here before and decided to go for our anniversary. It was a wonderful experience. Both food and drink were top notch. We will definitely go back again soon.
Bridges, as always, is a gem! Our server, Nicholas, was attentive and congenial. I had the grilled prawns with sesame noodles, and my friend had the poke bowl..both were delicious. That's why we keep going back!
