This is my favourite restaurant, we never had a bad meal here, until recently... I ordered the ham hock croquette to start and my fiancee ordered the grilled hullumi on salsa. Mine was way to big for a starter, and didnt taste very pleasant. My other halfs was nice, but the salsa had a funny twang to it, so this was scrapped off the hullumi. Our main of steak was lovely, they are the best steaks I've had, but with mine I ordered dauphinoise potato, which was extremely dry and tasteless. It was like having boiled slice potato that was crispy on top! We ordered a side of mixed vegetables, which they forgot about. We said if they are going to take a while to not worry, but they still made them and by the time they arrived I had finished my meal. On speaking to the waiter we was told the usual chef was not there (as we asked for something off an old menu) so I am guessing these mix ups are because they have a new chef, or just use a less experienced chef on Wednesdays! Overall we was extremely unhappy with our meal, but we have loved it previous times so will go back, just not on a wednesday!

We've eaten here twice now, once with a Groupon deal, which was amazing value for money and a really good choice of dishes and again last Saturday evening. Once again, the food was really good and the staff attentive when you needed them to be. Really would recommend it.

Really good meal - the mackerel starter was to die for. As usual the staff could not be more attentive and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to every body I know!

I had the orange fondant & blood orange sorbet for dessert & was expecting an orange posset type dessert. It was actually a chocolate orange fondant pudding which isn't clearly stated. Perfect for a chocolate lover but not for me unfortunately. First two courses delicious mind & overall a wonderful evening.

Great atmosphere, well waited service and pleasant staff. Food choices were rest from the a la carter menu and set menu. Food itself tasted good but nothing was pushy boundaries. Drink selection was good, despite us not drinking that night

This is a fine restaurant which we had not visited for 18 months, and which had recently changed hands. We would say it is even better than before. There is nothing about it that we can criticize.
