My umpteenth time at Bridge, but my first under Covid rules. We ate outside on the deck near the river, with a propane heater nearby. The staff was cheery and accommodating, as always, but under the circumstances, they were particularly confidence-inspiring in the way they handled the new rules we must all live by, from greeting us at the door (one first calls from the car to announce one's arrival), maintaining good distancing habits, and providing neat little wax paper bags for our masks while we ate. In addition to the usual fare, I was pleasantly surprised to see several new additions to the menu, including plenty of vegan and gluten-free options and some creative combinations with curries, etc. A hot bowl of chowder on a chilly outdoor night hit the spot, the RI calamari is worth the trip by itself, and the burgers are totally legit. I had fettucine alfredo topped with a salmon fillet that was delicious. They have scaled back their beer selection but there were still plenty of great choices, including an Ommegang Sour that my younger daughter was delighted to see. I hope they continue to hang in there until this mess is behind us. If you're skittish about in-person dining, they do everything for take-out, including drinks. Please support this great place!
This restaurant was a wonderful experience. It was the most covid safe restaurant I have ever been too but yet made you feel relaxed and away from it all.
I can't wait to go back
We had never been, but it was a great lunch. If you like corned beef at all, the Reuben was amazing. We are outside and with the heater on it was very pleasant. The inside looked very nice fir when we start to feel comfortable eating inside again.
It was good
Noisy teenagers in dining room. Didn’t find the waitress very friendly
Service was exceptional! Food was good. It was a bit chilly inside but it is a cool New England day. Wish the cocktail menu was a little more extensive, but wine never does fail me. Would return because the service was so great.
Went with some friends for a mid-week dinner. Weather was nice enough to eat outside and enjoy the nice view. Great service from Melissa who offered some suggestions for us and no one was disappointed. While the menu may not be as extensive due to the pandemic, you are sure to find something to your liking. We will definitely be going back again.
Nice place but the service was so-so. Seemed understaffed for Sunday brunch.
We were a little disappointed because we were looking for the summer menu. Not the fault of the restaurant. We will be back for the Lobsters.
Food was good but menu is limited, especially the appetizer menu. I ordered a margarita and it came to me in a regular soda glass no salt rim and tasted horrible. When I asked for something else the waiter was rude about it wanting me to be specific about what I didn’t like, saying it’s a standard margarita. My husband was like that’s fine but we don’t like it can you please get us something else. Finally he did but it was really a weird rude experience. Oh and you have to wait outside until they call you so plan on sitting in your car for a bit. Our 615 reservation didn’t get seated until 640.
The service was fantastic and our waiter had a great personality. The food was delicious. I will definitely return again and again.
We dined outside on the deck overlooking the river. Beautiful.
All staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Restaurant was very clean. Service was just right. Enjoyed the view of the river. Looking forward to returning.
We had a great experience on Sunday. The Gumbo and Fish & Chips were very good. I have to commend the Bridge Restaurant for their Covid management policy. Online reservations and you check in from your car when you arrive. At your reservation time you enter the restaurant without a crowd to contend with and we were seated right away at our table. Paper bags are provide for your mask and a sanitizing wipe is included. We will be returning for their brunch in the very near future.
Raw bar is great, service great. The lobster Mac n cheese is not worth it, personally not a fan of corn in my Mac n cheese. Margarita was just OK, sandwich was ok. I’ve been previously and have had great experiences but this go around the food was sub par.
Crazy but yesterday was our first time out to a restaurant since March! The Bridge has done an amazing job following Covid parodical. They are doing everything right. Masks, gloves, tables 6 feet apart. From the jump everyone was great. The hostess (I wish I could remember her name) was super friendly and set the tone with a great vibe. Our server Olivia was a delight, very sweet and provided us with the right amount of attention and distance. The food took more time than usual but under the circumstances the wait was totally understandable and well worth it. We loved it so much we returned today and had lunch again. Today, Brittany was our server and she too was fantastic.
Food was superb! So many unique choices and food was so fresh. Their COVID -19 protocols were great and the heaters made it so enjoyable
Our waitress was wonderful and we are returning next week .
We ate outside on the deck right by the water. The heaters were going. It kept it quite warm. The food was fabulous. I had the Curry Fu. It is tofu curry. There are several great vegetarian options. The waitress was doing such a great job. She was working all the tables outside and there was never any service interruption.
Felicia was our bartender/server and she was phenomenal. Friendly and attentive.
Fabulous Oysters. Riverview. Be sure to have reservations
Excellent service: very Covid appropriate. Everyone was wearing masks. Tables spaced very far apart. Never felt rushed. It almost felt like it was pre-Covid. Food was very good but the atmosphere and service were superb.
Beautiful location on the river. Delicious local oysters. The ribeye and salmon dishes were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Overall, a pleasure to dine at The Bridge! The food and drinks were great, the service was attentive and cheerful (thanks Micaela!) and we were happy with the good COVID precautions you all are taking. It was the first time I had seen a bag at the table for your mask - what a great idea! I highly recommend The Bridge to anyone looking for a great meal!
So far, most of my experiences have involved eating outdoors.. I appreciate the effort the restaurant goes to in terms of social distancing; mask and glove wearing on the part of guests, but especially staff.. During this COVID stuff, I feel very comfortable dining at this restaurant
The ambience is great you’re on the river. Just remember they’ve added an 18% gratuity during Covid times I totally forgot about it and gave them more tip them that was worth
The outside dining area is a great space. Not sure if it is due to Covid, but the menu has been reduced considerably. The options for gluten free dining has also dwindled as this has always been our go-to dining spot. The service is always great and people are friendly and accomodating.
It would be nice if some of the base dishes had protein choices for options. The chef honored my request but it would be great to add as option on menu i.e. I am not a fan of Tofu so he subbed in shrimp in my curry dish which was fantastic.
Hopefully once covid subsides the menu will get back to its former self...
Varied menu...delicious food. Lovely outdoor setting. Great service and Covid-19 policies.
Nice experience would recommend.
Good food and amazing service! Sat outside - great atmosphere - usually get dinner and theater with the gazebo across the river... but is was lowkey
The hostess never returned our call as she said she would while we waited in the parking lot at her direction. Eventually, after 40 minutes we called and were told our companions were sitting at our table but whoever answered said he could not find the hostess. We then just walked in to find our table and friends.
very nice outing, was pleasure to be with friend and feel safe while eating out.
The outdoor patio seating was lovely and peaceful. Our server was excellent; the food was delivered in a timely manner, and we were attended to frequently to see if we needed another beverage, etc. We will definitely go again.
We love coming to Bridge! We’ve been for brunch, lunch, and dinner! It’s always delicious, and the service is always great! We love to sit on the patio right on the water.
We make the mistake of assuming the deck would be heated given outdoor seating was an option. Heaters on the deck would have made the experience far more comfortable.
Bridge has become our go-to restaurant for special occasions and anytime we want to dine without the risk of bad service, poor food or poor atmosphere. Ownership, management and staff seem to truly understand what diners want and have never failed to provide it.
Great food! Great service!
The Bridge is consistent - always excellent place for lunch or dinner. They've done an especially good job of adjusting to the covid crisis and go out of their way to make customers comfortable. There's been no diminution in terms of food quality and service - best in the area.
The environment was great ! It was a peaceful and nice dine but the food wasn’t great
Nice outdoor seating on the water in downtown Westerly. Great compliance with COVID parameters. Friendly staff. Oysters from raw bar were top notch, as were crab cake app and fried chicken dinner. Seafood curry was a bit too spicy for our taste, but that's probably just us. More adventurous diners might like it better.
Service was good but a little slow at times. Calamari was excellent, but the dressing on the lobster roll was a little bit peppery. The outside dining was exceptional, but the drinks were unsatisfactory.
