Took my Dad here for an early New Years Dinner the night before. There were 4 of us and we all raved about the food and atmosphere- we sat bear the fireplace overlooking the river. My Dad said the cherry stones were amazing - best he’s had in many years.
My moms twin lobster was not served with melted butter lobster crackers bib or shell bucket, we had to ask 3 times, the second time she was brought formed butter one would use for bread.
This year and last Xmas eve we had to ask for bread and didn’t get it til same time as meal
Also my sister and daughters fries came luke warm and we had to request ketchup and salt twice fries were cold by the time we got the ketchup and salt
Otherwise everyone, all 8 of us, loved our meals
If you need a winter comfort food fix, order the gumbo. You will be happy you did.
We always love coming there. We were a little on the fence with the new menu - my husband always loved the Jambalaya but thought the gumbo was way too soupy. He also did not like that the tails were on the shrimp in the gumbo. I always ordered their roasted chicken in pan juices - the best. The fried chicken is ok but I try to not order too much fried food.
Did not have raw bar but we all had the prime rib wgich was excellent.
Beautiful location right on the river! The service was good. The food was good. Grilled cornbread is to die for! Overall, very good experience.
We had a table at the windows overlooking the river with such a pretty view and the food was excellent. One of our party had the burger from the brunch menu and felt it was the best burger he had ever tasted. We were meeting friends we had not seen in quite a while and even though the restaurant was busy, the wait staff did not rush us while we visited.
I visited Bridges Restaurant with two of my friends during restaurant week recently. The restaurant week menu was not presented to us initially When the menu was finally preaented, with a little prodding, there was one chicken entree as an option for the pre fixe dinner. Very poor attempt at participation and not worth the price. I would suggest skipping restaurant week event next time around . Poor service.
Fun place to take the family. Won't break the bank. Busiest during the summertime.
Too limited of a menu
What a beautiful spot to relax and have lunch - we loved it
Food and atmosphere were wonderful. Mimosas were very weak and we had the one table on the patio not in shade so it for very hot. Will definitely be back for brunch!
Our family group of adults, teens and baby were treated with great friendliness and efficiency. We were even given space in separate room with lovely river view. All enjoyed food. Lots of good vegetarian options.
We were able to sit outside on their patio which is right on the Pawcatuck River in Westerly on a perfect summer night. Food was very good. We had shrimp cocktail which included 5 very fresh shrimp. For dinner we had the salmon and swordfish dishes which were both cooked nicely. The swordfish was a nice thick cut. While the Chardonnay we had by the glass was good, the list was limited as in one Chardonnay available.
Absolutely loved the Curry Fu and buffalo tofu bites. Great vegetarian options. Service was outstanding.
The atmosphere at The Bridge is lovely. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. The staff is friendly but the service is slow. I had a seafood curry and it was stated to be spicy but I would say it was mildly spicy and very tasty. My husband had the bluefish and said it was a bit dry. The vegan flourless chocolate tart was delicious.
If you are planning to have dinner there plan for about two hours for a main course and a dessert.
This has been my experience twice. Easily twenty to 25 minutes to get your course once it’s been ordered.
If your looking for a leisurely meal the food is good.
We had a wonderful evening dining at The Bridge. The setting sitting outside on the river was very peaceful. Everyone had something different and we all enjoyed our dinners. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious. The lobster roll was wonderful. We shared oysters they were so fresh and well shucked. Definitely a repeat.
everything was fine -setting, etc. but it took over 50 minutes to get our brunch order. Very slow!!!
Beautiful place with a beautiful view and great food. Went there for a girls lunch and ❤️❤️❤️ It
We were sitting outside and it started raining, and everyone was so helpful is helping us to quickly move inside!
My friends and I tried this for the first time. My friends were visiting and we sat outside. It was a very nice outdoor sitting, the food was delicious and the service was excellent from the hosts to the waitstaff. I made a reservation for noon time on a Sunday, but it looked like it was not too busy so I think we would have been okay without a reservation as well. We had delicious food and drinks and took some lovely pictures outside. Thank you, we will be back.
Great ambience and good food options...went there for anniversary and enjoyed thoroughly
We were In Westerly for a concert. This was a great Pre event place. The river location is beautiful. The food was very good. They had great music playing. The service was fine but not skilled. I think she was new or it’s a summer job. She never told us the specials and was attentive in sort of a weird way. It would not keep me from coming back. Food and drinks came out on time.
Really cute place Atmosphere was great. Could go casual or dressy either would be acceptable. Food was amazing & the price was very reasonable. Service was outstanding. Would definately return & highly recommend.
We love the ambiance and location of The Bridge, as well as the menu. However, our server was fair to poor, I hate to say because she was very sweet. However, she left us without taking an order for a very long time, put in an app order, then didn't come back to take our main order until our apps were completely finished. Couldn't pronounce menu items (ahi tuna), seemed very nervous, and left us with dirty dishes throughout our meal. Drinks took a long time to get and we never received the straw we requested.
Food was very good.
Have many gluten free items to choose from.
When I first walked into the Bridge restaurant, I was a little dismayed by then musty odor. However, the patio deck overlooking the river was wonderful! Nice and sunny and beautiful out which was a great complement to our delicious lunch. Wait staff was excellent, Food selection eclectic.
I had the grilled mahi mahi. The flavor was good. The potatoes on the side were warm not hot. The salad on the plate with the fish was there to take up space. The grilled corn bread appetizer was excellent. My wife had the fish and chips. A good portion although the plate was filled with chips to make it look full. It was a fine meal. We would go again.
We are frequent RI vacationers and have returned to Bridge at least a dozen times. We love the easy vibe, waterside ambience, solid selection of both wines and beers, friendly service, and really good food. We always start with the RI-style calamari...love those jalapenos. I frequently order the fish 'n' chips which never disappoints. The batter doesn't slide off the fish. My daughters ordered lobster Mac 'n' cheese and linguine and clams...I tasted both and loved the light, almost chowder-style sauce on the Mac, and the linguine came with whole clams...legit. When we stay in RI we mostly cook at home, but when we go out, Bridge is our go-to.
Great location, good food. I recommend the restaurant.
The food and service was good. However the portions were very very small. I would not return to the restaurant. There were 5 of us and we all left ready to go to another restaurant to eat again. The total bill with tip was $175 and was certainly NOT worth the money.
A change in management and kitchen staff apparently. At 7:30 they were out of burgers, out of Greek Salad and they put together a Caesar salad that was inedible. Save your appetite. Pretty outside for a drink.
Nice staff but all round lousy service. Appetizer raw bar sampler didn’t arrive for an hour - claimed it got lost behind 3 other orders. As a result our main courses came out luke warm and dried out. Manager tried to make up for it by comping us a round of drinks, which was nice of him, only for the first cut of the bill to arrive with us being charged for them. They corrected the bill but all in all it was an annoying experience. Just go somewhere else and save yourself the stress and misery.
Food was a mixed bag - great cornbread. Service was uneven - appetizers came out and were cleaned up quickly but dinner was a long wait afterwards - and very inattentive.
Waitress was very nice. Drinks took a while to get to our table and food took quite some time. I’d estimate about ~40 minutes from ordering to it being brought out to us. Food was good though and the scenery is nice.
The staff was courteous, prompt and personable. Our server (young girl) very professional and was a blast to interact with.
We sat out on the deck and a gust of wind actually blew our gift card into the water. Our server actually climbed over the rail and onto the rocks to retrieve it for us!
The jumbo shrimp was good. I had the cold lobster roll and it was great. My date had the crab roll and she loved it as well.
We ordered mixed drinks, a couple mules and a few other mixed cocktails and they were mixed excellent. Not too strong, but certainly not weak.
We went at 3pm on a Saturday, not overly busy, the crowd noise was background level. An overall great experience. We will definitely visit again.
I have eaten here several times, lunc, dinner, and brunch... Always great service... Never a wait... Food comes quickly... And is always hot.... Love this place...
It is a very beautiful spot to have lunch. We had friends visiting from Florida and everyone loved it.
Great atmosphere. Food was delicious and prices very reasonable. Staff very friendly. Definitely recommend
