BrickTop's - Nashville
The only issue I had was that when the server(not the waitress) delivered our lunch.....he served the woman in our party last. There was three in our party.
I brought it to his attention and his response was " that's the way I was handed the plates" to which I replied...."but you knew when you saw the table occupants who sat where....right?"....to which he tried to offer some ineffective excuse.....
Manners and etiquette never go out of fashion......
Great wait staff!
BrickTop’s is always so good. We went on a Sunday for lunch and was surprised at how noisy it was. I’ve been many times and it’s never been this loud and I wasn’t sitting in the bar either. But the food and service was as good as always 😊
One of the best brunches in town where you can get reservations. A bit fancy / pricey, but worth it.
Worth every penny and every minute.
BrickTop’s is the perfect place to meet out of town guests and surprise them with great food and excellent service.
The most consistent restaurant in Nashville for outstanding food, impeccable service and relaxed ambiance form the first day it opened. They never disappoint; they only know how to excel.
It's a great place. Everyone knows that. It also has a perpetual beggar outside that accosts guests as they come in and out. They don't have the guts to throw him off their property. He is ALWAYS there. I avoid Bricktops for this reason. Message to Bricktops, if you think promoting begging is the solution to the homeless problem, you are wrong.
We chose Bricktop's for our anniversary dinner- perfect quick outing, delicious apps (eggs, millionaires bacon and gazpacho) and entrees (steak, French dip). The staff even had an anniversary card for us!
This review was completely turned around by the "behind the scenes" thoughtfulness of the hostess, manager and server. The hour of our business meeting reservation was over-booked, etc. We chose to sit at the bar when the space became available versus waiting even longer. Upon the completion of the meal, the server informed us a big part of the cost had been "taken care of" by the manager. It really made the difference. The hostess noticed what was going wrong, the manager cared and the server was wonderful.
The meal was excellent! Instead of never going back, we will definitely be back! Thank you for caring about your customers.
Quality of food poor, a major deterioration since my last visit. Menu more limited since last visit as well. Restaurant noisy....very disappointed in this visit
Hgreat food and quick service. The red fish sandwich was excellent.
Lunch menu was not great
Bricktops is my "local", convenient, moderately priced for the quality, has some fairly healthy food. I do not want to complain about it. But more healthy options (hard to find in restaurants in general) would be great! A vegetable plate -- even with the vegetables on hand. Non-creamy cold slaw or a reduced fat one. Spinach -- sauteed OR steamed (Bricktops will do steamed but most people probably do not ask). Some multigrain or whole grain rolls, crusty on the outside, or even gluten free. (Why, when there is so much discussion of nutrition, do most restaurants offer only white bread? Is it really much cheaper?)
Always enjoy the food and experience at BrickTop’s. The swordfish was excellent.
a solid place for business or pleasure; a classic.
Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Would recommend it wholeheartedly
The service and respect for the seating requests were greatly appreciated. The lunch menu items were good. Very clean, great service and ambiance.
I am a frequent visitor at BrickTop's. This visit was not the usual. The waitress wanted us to order quickly and my guest and I were not ready. Then we could not find our waitress. I ordered salmon and I requested medium plus and then it was rare and I had to ask for it to be cooked further. They put it in microwave. :-(. It was still undercooked but when manager came by I did not want to say so as I had a guest and did not want to be unpleasant. When I told our waitress we did not care for dessert and wanted one check she quickly removed our plates without asking if we wanted a doggie bag which I did. I would have had to quickly follow her to the kitchen which would have been awkward. Truly a bad scene but because of past good service and experienes I will return.
Our group of four all enjoyed different entrees. The salmon, ahi tuna, steak frites, and fillet were all well prepared and delicious. I love the ambiance of the dining room. The noise level was good which was great for visiting with our friends over dinner.
Great service and meal. Good place for groups.
We enjoyed our experience very much. Great time place to celebrate a special occasion. Easy to get to and good parking.
Wiil go again. The deviled egg and brow sugar infused bacon are great to start your meal.
Fantastic food and great service.
My husband and I, both, had prime rib. Actually we split an order as we are both dieting and didnt want to eat too much. Our waitress, Madelyn, was excellent. She had the cook cut our piece in half which was prefectly cooked, I might add. We also ordered a bowl of lobster bisque and we split that as well and she had them do that for us as well too, which was perfect. Overall, our service and our food was fantastic!
Always a great experience - food, service and atmosphere. Current favorite is the Yum Yum Roll
Great overall experience but would like to be sat upon arrival instead of having a wait when you have a reservation. I’d also say if there is a dress code, which there should be at a certain price point, it should be enforced out of respect for the level of the establishment as well as for the patrons whom have dressed for the occasion.
Just a couple small items prevented our experience from being good to being great. First was service from the bar. Drinks we ordered took entirely too long. You're in good company though; this is becoming a bit of a Nashville trend. By the time our cocktails arrived, quite frankly, we should have been in position to order a second round. No idea why this is such a struggle for restaurants in this town. It's just $ left on the table.
I ordered the special, which was a 12 oz. strip. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium well to well. I would've loved to have let someone know, but no one ever asked. There are a lot of people who would've made a big stink about it and refused to eat a steak cooked to that degree, but I'm not one of them. It was very tasty, just disappointing for a $40 steak.
We've been here several times before and we'll be back. Hopefully next time it will be great.
Our food was good except for my granddaughter’s halibut which was totally tasteless.. server was efficient but had an attitude.. lady who initially sat us did not speak even one word.. will not be anxious to return when there are so many restaurants with a welcoming attitude and better food.
My "local". I live close by and go there often. It is good and the price level is moderate.
Most enjoyable experience! One of my favorite restaurants to take out of town guests. Noise level could be better. Thank you.
The 'Palm Beach Salad' keeps me coming back - so good!
I put on the reservation it was for a business meeting. They put us in the loudest area of the bar anyway. As a result it took twice as long to get through our biz & lunch
Great for people-watching and networking. Food is always great, with options ranging from salads to steaks.
Great food and service
Quality of food wasn’t the best since last visit. Experience felt rushed. Dish portions were not the same. Not worth the penny i spent.
None. Great restaurant!
Our server (JDunn) did not to a good job pacing our meal. We ordered cocktails & apps when we sat down. 15 min later our apps arrived. No cocktails. When I inquired about our cocktail she said “they didn’t bring it to you?” I haven’t seen a runner deliver cocktails. Aren’t you suppose to oversee our experience? She went to the bar and came back quickly with a warm martini. Apparently having sat at the bar for 20 min. Two of the guests order the tuna and complained later in the evening of not feeling well. Their broccoli was soggy too.
Our server was MIA until she delivered the bill and filled our water glasses at the same time. The restaurant was not busy. The server ruined our experience. Don’t know if we’d return.
It was a very relaxing evening and the waiter did not rush us. Everything was good.
Food was cold, had to have it reheated and still not good. As a frequent BrickTops dinner it was the worst experience ever. For sure never going back to that location.
The food was great, the service was above average and prices seemed to be very fair. I would highly recommend checking this spot out!
