Brickside Grille Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant while around for a while has continued to grow and change as the development it is situated in also continues to do so. Now with a really expanded outside patio joining news restaurants next door, it is a wonderful way to enjoy drinks and dinner outside. At times love music is offered.
As an appetizer we ordered chilled oysters and calamari. The oysters were okay. The calamari was so greasy and soggy that it was disgusting. They served the calamari on a piece of paper which was soaked in grease. Me and my sister ordered the Salmon for dinner. When it came out we were in shock that it looked white not an ounce of pink. It did not taste like Salmon it actually looked and tasted like it was in the microwave. The hash browns that the salmon was sitting on were rock hard. It was the worst meal I have ever ordered. We had the server take them back. My other friend ordered steak and it was covered in gristle. There was so much gristle that strands were stuck in my friend's teeth. It was absolutely disgusting. My brother in law ordered a different steak and he said it was okay but the mashed potatoes that came with it were terrible. My husband and other friend ordered tacos which they said were okay. We will not be coming back nor would I recommend this place to anyone. The only plus was they had live entertainment.
My family and I enjoyed a great evening and delicious meal at Brickside on Saturday! My aunt and uncle came into town and I immediately made a reservation at Brickside because I knew the menu was extensive and everyone would find something to their taste -- and my uncle LOVES oysters!! The waitress, Kelly, was friendly and attentive! Great evening!
Our waitress Hannah could not have been more unfriendly. She could have at the very least, smiled:) Then when some of the meals were delivered by an entourage of waiters, they were just setting meals in front of people not caring if it was their meal, there were meals that were missing, there was a rock in one meal (mussels), salad dressing and tabasco sauce were asked for and never brought to the table, shrimp with proscuitto was like leather, and once we were done with dinner and wanting more cocktails, our table was not cleared and our waitress never came back to check on us to see if there was anything else. And finally, when we were ready to pay our bill, we had to go and find our waitress to get it taken care of. Unacceptable!!!
Met my daughter for lunch, we ate different meals and both enjoyed them thoroughly.
I had the crab cake sandwich - the romilade was scrumptious...the crab cake was all crab, delightful and the glass of sauvigon blanc rounded out the meal.
My daughter had a mini pizza with a caesar salad and an IPA that had Orange tones, and the chocolate torte for dessert...all which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Wonderful place, the wait staff was terrific.
We'll be coming back for more (to try their oyster bar) very soon.
Thanks for asking.
Brickside continues to be a great place to dine. Good selection on the menu - both mainstays and new additions. If you like oysters - this is the place. When weather permits, outdoor dining is lovely. And as always, the service and staff are friendly and accommodating.
When we ordered drinks our waiter ask if we want water. We said yes. The drinks came but no water until it was requested again. Ordered the chilled seafood platter for the table, we received the cooked platter - it was good. My swordfish tacos were fine. The rice in my wife's Cajun Gumbo was not completely cooked.
Service was sloooooooow.
The place was not crowded this night.
Went for brunch and the food was underwhelming. Oysters were warm (yuck), eggs were dry, however, the eggs Benedict was yummy, you just have to order it from the kitchen. Haven't been for a normal meal but that makes me think that it would be good... just trying too hard with the buffet.
Our waitress, Francesca, was very congenial and attentive. The food was a little slow coming out because they had received a lot of take out orders for people going to a local big show, which we were also trying to get to. They had a nice selection of Happy Hour specials - cocktails, beers and bar food - which were available in the dining room as well as the bar.
We have dined at Brickside Grille previously, but we had not been there in several months. They were quite busy, inside and out, with the pleasant weather. Our server was pleasant, but we assume that she must be new. She forgot to pour the beer into the requested glass or to provide bread plates--another server noticed that we had no plates as we buttered and ate pieces of the warm, delicious rolls from the basket. She had someone provide bread plates, though we had consumed most of the rolls provided. Oysters on the half shell and fried oyster appetizer special were excellent as were the accompanying sauces. The calamari, which we ordered often and loved previously, was definitely not up to the previous standards nor was the lime aioli (little lime flavor, not mixed well) that accompanied it. Both the Mediterranean and Fig/Pear pizzas were excellent. The mushroom/blue cheese burger was good, not great.
Reserved a table for 4 for a dinner with friends. We started with a dozen of the freshest oysters...followed by appetizers and delicious fish entrees (salmon, turbot). Service by Dave was terrific; he was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. We finished our dinner by sharing 2 of their fabulous desserts. It was Saturday night and the restaurant was completely full. The live music added a great touch to a wonderful evening.
We've eaten at Brick side a few times, and over all are happy with the restaurant, and plan to return. The scallop entree tasted great - but was a bit small, especially when compared to the size of other entrees, and for the price. i felt it could have had a bit more.
Our service was great, and other wise we were pleased.
My wife's dinner was very good, well seasoned and hot. I ordered the filet, mid rare, it was over cooked and the mashed potatoes were ice cold and had not one oz. of seasoning. they tasted like they were made from instant. Very disappointing. Other than that it was a fine meal, our server was very nice and was very good at her job.
Visited Sat evening. Excellent dinner. The live music was unexpected and wonderful. Brickside is located in Eagleview's popular "Restaurant Row". The Restaurant was completely full during dinner hour, and the service was very good, despite the crowd. Will return for sure.
Good , lively, neighborhood place. Great raw bar and the oysters shucked fresh per order. A bit loud and tough to hear outdoor singer. If eating outdoors a good place for people watching. Decent menu for most taste buds and Gluten Free options marked on menus. Overall our go back to place.
We had an enjoyable brunch, no feeling of being rushed. We had a relaxing time, the food was wonderful. Lots of different choices and we all enjoyed everything we had. The only downside was the dessert variety was not as good. All in all a nice location and great day!
Brickside is consistent in doing a good job, and this visit did not disappoint. This visit was enhanced by stellar service by Kelly. She was energetic, very personable and took great care of us. She also was expert in terms of the menu and made excellent recommendations when asked to do so. She made our usual good experience at Brickside great!
We decided to try the restaurant based upon favorable Open Table reviews, and it was a good decision. Our server, Kelly, was excellent. The food was also very good. Our only disappointment was the size of the entrees. The Fish & Chips should have had three pieces of fish (instead of two) and the Shrimp Caesar would have benefited by having another shrimp (although the three were large), even at an increased cost. That way, we wouldn't have left while still a bit hungry. That said, other entrees that we saw being served to others seemed more ample in size. But we liked our meals and will be back.,
Dinner reservation for 4 on Mother's Day. Menu appears to have changed a bit; not quite as kid friendly although there are definitely a few things. Food and service were good; was a bit more expensive than I expected. Dinner plus a few cocktails (3) plus tip for 4 was close to $200
