This is in a lovely area and was crowded and lively. Went for brunch and it was rooms with a lot of large tables.
Food was average at best. Frittata was decent.
Bagels were the little ones you get in bags at grocery store and were stale. Salad was good. Dessert area was messy and barren. Just average. Nothing special.
Server was very nice.
Food was ok, but the service was sloppy. Soup/salad plates were not removed in a timely manner. Drink order was forgotten. Server did not check how was everything.
Used to be solidly very good. Now pretty average. Bloody Marys nothing to write home about, watery. Calimari apps tasty but small for the price. Entrees were ok but not very memorable. Server couldnt make any recommendations on specials or between two dishes so didnt seem like they sample the food.
Great happy hour! Lots of great options!!!
Great service, friendly and accommodating! Lovely outdoor dining.
Sunday brunch: Eggs were dry, rice pudding was like paste. They need to improve the food quality all around.
Great appetizers, family friendly, solid menu and nice rotating beer selection - our 'go to' restaurant.
Never had a bad experience at the Brickside, great service. Michael was fantastic, burger was cooked perfectly .
Brickside Grill has really gone downhill. It used to be our favorite place to dine. We have given a few shots this past year but our last visit will be our last.
A favorite, we eat here often and love happy hour!
Enjoyed the evening with friends. The food was delicious and service was spot on.
We had a great experience here! The food was really tasty - lovely green salad and Linguini & Clams (with a bit of a kick!) Excellent bread for the table, too. Our wait person was friendly without being overbearing - Kelly rocks!
We used to go here for Sunday brunch before the new construction and it was very good. Today was disappointing. The selection of foods on the buffet were limited and not appealing at all. Scrambled eggs were dry and over done as well as the cheese grits which looked more like mashed potatoes. No toaster in sight so the only bread was mini bagel which were eaten cold. And the pastries looked thawed from frozen and were dull and unappealing as well. The only good thing on the buffet was the frittata which was perfectly done and light and fluffy and the pancakes ... though they were slightly undercooked. At $21.95 per person, definitely not worth it.
Very good as usual except ran out of some items on buffet and did not refill while we were there. Wish they had waffles!! Also still don’t have sugar free syrup. Even though price went up good value if you like oysters and/or can eat a-lot otherwise pricy. They could get more creative with desserts - boring cookies and frozen mini eclairs
We had a girls day brunch at Brickside Grille to celebrate (2) birthdays. The food was wonderful and our waiter Greg was amazing. He was very polite and professional and certainly went the extra mile to make sure our birthday brunch was alot of fun as well! Brickside Grille has a great atmosphere inside and out and I am sure we will be going back.
Food decent but overpriced.
Good food and great service! Would recommend for other gatherings.
Very disappointing.
I would generally recommend Brickside but I've been disappointed twice. Last night I ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and the meat had fatty edges. There was gravy over the beef, so it wasn't noticeable right away. I can tolerate a little fat, but I will ask to have leaner cuts of meat next time. I went last year and had fish and chips. It was about 75% crispy coating. Maybe they use a different supplier now, but just a heads up. I like the atmosphere tho, so I will try again. My friend had filet mignon and said it was cooked perfectly. The server was nice and very good. The name on the receipt said Williams.
We had a very enjoyable brunch, was a little bit noisy, and we were seated right next to the beverage station I’m assuming, so it was quite loud there as well, but overall, it was a good experience, I forgot our waitresses name she was a thin tall blonde girl she was very nice
Really great food! Had a great time with my wife. The prime rib was outstanding
What a disappointment. Waiter was a buffoon who messed up orders. I got the trout on special ($21) It was so dry and tasteless I sent it back for a basic chicken sandwich just not to risk it and even that was not that great. Wife got crab stuffed shrimp which she liked but small portion (3 shrimp) didn’t fill her up. Asked what occasion was, wife’s birthday, nothing was done. Was charged $3 for club soda, charged wrong price for wings.
TL:DR overpriced for mediocre to bad food.
Probably won’t return which is shame as the place is nice.
The restaurant was not busy, but the waitress still did not come to our table to take the order in a timely fashion or to followup. We saw her setting a table that was never taken while we were waiting to put in our order etc. The food was pretty ordinary. One pizza was OK, the other not very good.
We went for sunday brunch. Not many selections, prime rib too rare. Expected more for the price. Left disappointed.
I love the staff and layout but my daughters mac and cheese had zero taste, my caesar salad tasted as if it was made yesterday, put the dressing on it and stuck it in the freezer. It was cold and Wilted. Terrible. I ate 2 bites and they were the small Shrimp
Great attention to detail, quick service, & delicious lunch on a rainy day!
I like Brickside because it is local with excellent food and service. Your employees are friendly, thoughtful and courteous. One suggestion I would add, consider offering a couple of chicken dinners in addition to the chicken salads.
Bloody Mary's were light on the alcohol. Eggs Benedict were tasty.
Food was just ok. No complaints but nothing to write home about. Terrific service, nice spacious and comfortable room, good drinks, make for a nice meal at a very reasonable price.
All in all a great night out!
the best was the oysters but i had to wait for them to bring more out the frittata was ok the rest of the table was very minable there was no fruit to be had the potatoes were terrible they were cut to big and not tasty also no danish on table i will not go back it was not worth the price
Brunch selections were great. We wete not rushef at all.
The brunch at Brickside Grille used to be fantastic, I believe it’s gone downhill and is just mediocre at this point.
Double-date night with friends. A little out of the way, but great food and service. Can't wait to go in the Summer and check out the live music.
Sat down at 7:30pm and by 9pm it was starting to get pretty quiet and cleared out. Had live music in the bar which was nice. Older crowd for the most part.
It's a little shame that this restaurant is not better than it is. Great location and surrounding area. We have eaten here several times and almost always the same. The food is good but a long way from great. First, the menu selection is not that large; several selections are several categories, but most other places have lots more choices. Second, the portions are fair at best for the money paid. Our burger was below average size for an $11 menu item and my wife's salad was almost all kale and very little of the necessary tasty ingredients to make a good salad. Really don't understand this, beefing up the sizes and quantity of ingredients should peanuts in cost to the restaurant, but as is, leaves a non-desire for patrons to return. Third, the taste of the selections is just average or below as well. Definitely could use more seasoning.
I like the food and Happy Hour is good. This place is dated and in need of a major overhaul.
My family and I love the brunch! Great place for a birthday celebration. Nice and relaxed, great food, and great service.
Service was great. Pizza husband ordered not so good but the wahoo special I had was decent. Prior visits the food was much better.
We ordered calamari and it was very hard to chew. We sent it back as we couldent eat it. The waiter was nice and did not charge us.
Won't be back and I do not recommend this restaurant at all. I have not been to this restaurant for years and only came here because some friends really wanted to have oysters. The food, service and atmosphere were mediocre at best. I am so upset that we wasted good money to eat here and could have put our dollars elsewhere. I have no idea how this restaurant was so busy either.
