From Coffee to Cocktails, we proudly serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Bigger mimosas.......small for what they cost!!!! More GF options.
Loved the ambience. Staff was friendly. Four of us had dinner. 2 of us had the crab and artichoke raviioli, and 2 had the tri-tip and vegetable specials. The crab & artichoke ravioli came with a heavy cream sauce, I requested mine without the cream it was really nice that the chef came over to the table to ask if he could prepare my dish using tomatoes. Our pasta dishes ere good. The tri-tip special had a nice blackberry jus, vegetables were cooked perfectly, overly generous portion of meat. Service was just ok. Server didn’t come back to check on our meals after we started eating. I would go back for happy hour, appetizers, sandwiches, and salads.
Open door reservation fo 10 went without a hitch. Arrivwd early and table was ready great menu selection, excellent Bloody Marys and service.
The location could not be better. Food was perfectly fine but not outstanding. My husband loved his ribs!!
Great food, great atmosphere!
Nice place to grab a bite to eat. Many stairs to get to the restaurant, difficult to maneuver my elderly mother up and down the stairs.
Overall, wonderful service and exceptional food.
We frequent dinning and brunch opportunities at the Brickroom. It is our ‘go to’ restaurant in Ashland when we host our family and friends.
With that said and having worked in the industry, the brunch service time from order to fork is on average about 45 - 50 minutes for 2-4 guests. Dinner arrives in less than 30 minutes.
We love the atmosphere and look forward to our next visit.
We had a lovely time. Good food and service. Nice to see you had a children’s menu.
The food was superb the service was friendly, attentive and efficient. I would recommend the Brickroom for any occasion - everyday, celebration or other.
We've been dining here for awhile. Making a reservation doesn't guarantee you a table. I made a reservation 2 days in advance for 5 and they gave away my table to walk-ins. Tried to sell me a 4 top instead. Disappointed to say the least. Ambiance is great. And the food is usually very enjoyable.
Good food, excellent service, nice ambiance and a good value experience.
Great service and good food. Kid friendly!
This is a tough one. I was here once before and was excited to come back as the food/experience was wonderful. Sadly, this time our food was underwhelming. The only item we really enjoyed was the dirty fries. The green beans, broccoli/cauliflower and both salads were just ok. Oh, and the dessert was delicious.
It’s a family favorite and we took a visitor there. Lots of options of different pricing. We had a variety of choices and everyone left happy.
Fabulous food. We had the braised short rib salad, French fries, cubano sandwich, avocado toast and pot stickers. All delicious.
Wonderful outdoor seating, we could hear the little stream which goes through town. We both had wonderful salads for dinner.
Will be returning next Thursday with guests. Thank you!
Casual pub atmosphere in downtown Ashland. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and we received excellent service. Food was good and hearty. The brick chicken was tasty. Excellent selection of draft beers, both local microbreweries and those from other parts of the country.
Tyler was our server both nights we’d eaten there this week and he was courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful with menu option.
We had a very nice dinner- we started with a glass of Irvine & Roberts rose wine, the salmon special was delicious- definitely farm to table and we shared ice cream with hard shell for dessert. Our waiter was so nice!!
Great food and great vibe. Have been coming to this place every summer for the past few years and highly recommend. The menu has something for everyone. Really good drink menu too!
We were a group of six. We were seated promptly. Had a play at 8:00pm so we ordered and were served quickly. The food was served hot, was delicious. This is our second time here and we'll be back!
Excellent shrimp and grits!!! Great service. Clever upstairs restaurant with a varied menu.
Food was well done and eclectic, presentation was good.
The food and service was exceptional!
Brickroom has a fun, lively atmosphere, good food and friendly, good service.
Was excited to revisit - wasn't as great as it was a few years back but wasn't bad. Not a family place but a good place to hang with friends or on a date.
Great brunch menu, biscuits, ambience!
Great food, excellent service, but it could have been cleaner. The chair was covered in crumbs, the floor was dirty, and the divider wall next to my daughter had been slathered in mucus - pretty gross! Other than the cleanliness, it was an A+ experience and we would definitely return.
Easy, friendly and very helpful server, gorgeous evening outside, tasty selections
Good ambiance, service, food. Not a big fan of Opentable when trying to “modify “ my reservation. Would recommend restaurant highly
This experience was not the best. Our waiter was very nice and attentive but the food was not as good as the last time we were there. The best thing other then the fries were the chicken strips amd they were $16!
I loved the ambiance of this place. It had a quirky charm. However, the food lacked anything special, and the service was sub-par. My salad lacked sufficient blue cheese and nuts, so I asked for a bit more. Little did I know I was going to be charged $2.50 for a pittance more. It was only after I complained that the waiter deducted it from my bill. Not sure I would recommend this place.
The service was terrible. Very slow. Waiter got orders wrong and two items not brought to table.
Excellent food choices, great atmosphere. Breakfast, lunch and dinner plus drinks. Brickroom is always top choice.
We have gone to Brickroom a number of times and there is always a bit of an issue with the service, but this past Sunday (Father's Day) was unbelievably bad. Yes, it was a busy day, but where is the management and quality control in this establishment? We waited one hour for our food, and when it arrived my husband received his, but mine was delivered and was the wrong order. 20 minutes later my order was brought and there was absolutely no offer to do anything to remedy the situation. Like, maybe they could have comped my coffee or offered me a drink on the house, or since I paid extra for gluten free bread, maybe they could have removed this small fee. I got a "sorry bout that" from our waiter who never checked back with us once the food was delivered. We love the food here, but not sure we will hurry back because the management (or lack of it) was so horrible.
Our first visit to the Brickroom was on Mothers Day and we were lucky enough to get a table without reservations. The place was packed yet we received awesome service and the food was to die for. So we decided to go back for Fathers Day, we had reservations, it was not a packed as our prior visit and the service was not great. We were told that the kitchen was trying to catch up and that it would need about 10 mins to catch up. So we ordered mimosas and avocado toast which were both delicious! Once we received our drinks and toast the waiter never looked at our table again. Finally, someone else noticed that we needed water and maybe another mimosa? How would the waiter know, he never came back! The bartender even came to our table (we were sitting in the bar area) because he noticed our drinks were empty. And he was slammed at the bar. The music is a tad loud and makes it difficult to have a conversation. We waited 40-45 minutes for our food, it did not come out at the same time, it was cold and not very flavorful. My husband had steak and eggs and the steak was unseasoned...I don't understand why restaurants don't simply season with S&P. Anyway, my huevos rancheros were just ok, the eggs were overcooked but it had good flavor. Overall, very underwhelming. :(
Food was decent, BUT, service was terrible, food came out in spurts, some dishes brought out by kitchen staff, wrong dishes, Two people got food in a reasonable time, two people got food about 20 minutes later, one person did not even get their food (a salad)!!!
Arrived at 10:30, sat down did not even get out coffee until 11:00! Food was delivered basically one hour after seating to get a "warm up" had to take a cup to the bar.
Some food when delivered was warm at best, some downright cold. When the bill came some food that was not even delivered was on the bill!
Will never go back.
Clearly, This was not a restaurant ready for Father’s Day brunch. We sat there for more than 15 minutes before we even ordered. And then it took 50 minutes for the first plate of our four person breakfast party to come out. The first person to receive her plate was almost done eating by the time the fourth plate came out. At the table next to us the first two people who got their plates, not at the same time, were both done eating before the last plate at that table showed up. Obviously the kitchen was horribly backed up. The wait staff did nothing to communicate about the delays. In fact they avoided the table. We were in the restaurant for Well over an hour before all of our food finally arrived at the table. And in that whole time I only got one refill on the coffee and that was after I chase somebody down to get it. I have eaten at Brickroom maybe a dozen times and never experienced anything like this. But I would certainly avoid them on any kind of major event day in the future.
I would try them again on a less busy weekend before recommending. Their food was ok, but not worth the price. It was noisier than we prefer, but would might be fine for others. We had a hard time finding parking (which is typical for Ashland) so our evening started with a long walk in the heat before we got there, so maybe that added to the experience. At any rate, I'll reserve final judgement after trying them a second time.
