This was our first time visiting Bricklane Curry House. While the food was very good (albeit it a bit pricey), the service was severely lacking. It took us nearly 25 minutes to place an order after being seated (and asking multiple people multiple times if we could order). We were about to get up and leave, and finally a server came over. After we were able to place drink and food orders, the service was spotty and inefficient - this definitely impacted our overall experience.
Good food and service... We really enjoyed the meal. Cocktails could improve a bit. There was a birthday party so it was very loud, otherwise the place was awesome and highly recommend.
Loved the decor and ambiance. Service was attentive and the food was very good.
Food and drinks were great, but the restaurant clearly overbooked for the evening. Several parties had to wait to sit past their reservation time and the bartender insisted we sit at the bar instead of the table. He did his best keeping up with the high volume of drinks and our orders, but the fact tables weren’t available and we had a bit of a wait for orders certainly impacted the experience. I would go again, but would hope for improved front of house coordination and service.
We ordered the samosas (vegi), tandoori vegetables and chicken tikka-masala. The samosas were good. The vegetables didn't have much flavor. The curry was tasty but the chicken (breast/white meat) was dry. I guess when you can choose your curry, and then what meat, or other, you want in it, they're not cooked together. To me a good chicken curry is when dark meat chicken (white meat dries up) is stewed in the curry. They obviously cooked the chicken separately on a skewer and then added it to the curry. I think the place is also a bit pricey for this type of food, but then it's in a high rent spot. I would only recommend it because it's a nice place, has good service, the cocktails are nice and I only tried a couple of dishes.
Lovely setting and really great food! The cocktails are delicious. Would definitely return.
Food was average and expected better
The service was pretty terrible. Drinks were amazing though and it was beautifully decorated. Sucks I will not be going back.
Amazing food and ambiance! Great for a date or special occasion
Very slow service. Friendly waiters & staff but it took forever to get our food. The chicken tikka masala had little too much of the tomato overtone to suit my palate.
Delicious! Food was delicious and authentic. Great vegan options, love the naan. Will be back
Food was disappointing. Chicken very dry.
Trash trash trash. Everything was overcooked and under seasoned. I’m Indian myself and this was just an underwhelming experience. Also, ketchup as your base ingredient in the lasuni Gobi is just insulting. The kitchen and wait staff both need a serious adjustment. Definitely not coming back anytime soon.
Easy to book on Open Table and when we arrived at restaurant automatic sanitizer dispenser is up as you walk in, staff greet you and we were given a choice of where we wanted to sit. Staff are wearing masks and tables are spaced apart so you can actually enjoy your meal, safely. Complimentary bread is brought to the table. Cocktails are perfectly blended! Staff suggested some items as not everyone in our party had tried Indian cuisine before. We had ordered cauliflower to start and each person had ordered an entree. The food came out hot and fresh! You can taste the freshness and quality in the ingredients used. The food was plentiful that we each have leftovers for lunch! I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!
Great addition to downtown. Food was excellent and service great. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
The space is modern and beautiful. The food was delicious and our waiter was courteous and helpful.
Great food, and ambiance. Prawn Tandoori and Goan Lamb are must haves.
Try the great spicy challenges and the greatest naan ever!
