Brick Oven on Main
This was just terrible experience. We were sited but as the food was not coming after one hour we asked about and were lectured by the manager that they were too busy to attend to our order. Our 4 year old was too hungry so we asked when the food was coming, got the same answer that they are too busy and so we had to leave. Crappy place! Arrogant and very inappropriate floor manager! Do not ever go there or support this place!
The service is extremely slow. The waitresses seemed to try their best, but the food took forever. We were there for a ridiculous amount of time. The breakfast was just ok.....but.....tater tots instead of home fries....you should be ashamed
Very disappointing. We had reservations we all met there. The manager said they had a private party that we couldnt stay. Nothing even offered to try to make it right. 😕😕
brunch was pleasant and the service was really quite good. one thing could have pushed this review to four stars: BETTER COFFEE. there’s simply no room for weak coffee in the brunchosphere.
I take the time to enter all the info so that when we arrived I assumed that we would not be at a tall table because that is what I requested
Regular seating to tall table
A hi chair for a toddler and space for an infant!
Nothing that I requested happened
So I wonder why I take the time to fill it out
I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK
Seats uncomfortable food ok
About 45 minutes after we ordered our food, we had to flag down the waitress to ask where our food was, as she had been avoiding us. We were told that the kitchen was backed up and that our pizzas hadn’t even been put into the oven yet. The restaurant was not busy, but they apparently had a large order placed at the bowling alley, which they also make food for. Paid for our drinks and left before our food was even started after waiting for over an hour.
First time there, and point blank the food wasn’t very good flavor wise...let’s say bland for the most part. My husband and I went on a date there and we started off with the cauliflower bites as an appetizer (which were great! The only thing other than the fries though) then we had our entrees. I had the ginger noodle bowl, which to be honest I took a gamble on because I didn’t know what to expect. My husband got one of the burgers there and fries. The biggest complaint I have of that entire visit was that we asked for the burger to be cooked medium because we love pink in our burger, but the burger was cooked very well done. You can tell the difference in taste between a well done burger and a burger cooked medium, as well as the color in the middle. We ate it though, Tipped very well and I’m not planning on going back again. Who knows how that restaurant has stayed open but I will surely divert my friends from going there. It reminded me of a trendy looking Greg’s restaurant.
They actually had pretty good food but are very understaffed and the appetizers took 50 minutes to arrive and the entrees 1.25 hours without an apology or viable explanation except that they were backed up (when there were only 6 tables of 2 or 4) and the waiter was even too distracted to bring us our check until we violently waved our arms in the air after it was long clear that we were finished!
Servers were overwhelmed yet the place was not full. Food took a while to come out and pizza was cold. Had to ask several times for Waters. Salmon on salad was two tiny pieces. After complaining, they brought out two more pieces. This was our 2nd time here. First time was great. This time the total opposite. Not sure I am up for a third.
The service was great! We had wings for an appetizer, bbq and Asian. They were perfect! I had the pepperoni pizza and house salad. Both were very good. Second time there. Will be back!
The pizza was tasty and the menu varied; I would return. The only downside is lack of parking across the street.
The waitress was Awesome the food was exceptable the burn pizza not so great.
Their reservation system was down. They never received our Open Table reservation. The had an hour wait due to a concert scheduled in the building later that night. It was very busy. Waitress seemed overwhelmed due to crowd. We had a gift card that we used. My husband did it like his pizza due to large amount of garlic. My meal was good. Very noisy. I think that it would be different to go on a night where there was not a concert. We did not get our points from Open Table because of the problem with their reservation system. .
Our server was completely overwhelmed on every level with our party of 10. Missed orders, long waits, slow service, she would disappear for long periods. She was a very nice kid but in way over her head.
Our server, who was also the bartender, was FANTASTIC!!! I called ahead to book a table for 2 and last second added another person. They where totally cool with that. Food portions were sizeable, drink menu was good and beer menus was top notch with some great local brews too. Can't wait to go back and try more things!
Cool atmosphere. Pretty good food. Slow service (more than 30 minutes to get our food),
Great food, great prices.
Pizza/Burgers with 3-4 entrees available. Food EXCELLENT. Service just ok.
We were there for over 2 hours for pizza and drinks.....waited at least 45 for service
and food. Go for the food but be sure to have time to kill!
A group of 8 friends got together for dinner before going to Lock & Clue Escape Room in the same building. We had a great time.
The pizza and service was exceptional! The chairs are pretty cool, but not that comfortable.
Would not go again
Server was great ( thank you Jason) but this was really a pizza parlor with very loud acoustic music that prevented normal conversation. Salad was really good, pizza just okay - have had much better
Although the food, service and atmosphere were great, the parking near the restaurant was not. The lot across the street was full. There was another unattended lot behind the complex that was empty and didn't feel safe leaving our car as the only car in the lot. Ending up parking aways down the road on the main street.
Great fish and chips. Delicious chicken sandwich with caramelized onions. Food server forgot to ask for drink order, but otherwise great!
Great food and atmosphere. Great for group outings.
Meh, this place is ok, but definitely overpriced for the quality of their food. Previously known as the Hope Kitchen, the service there has always been mediocre, as the timing is kind of off. We had to wait for the hostess to seat us. Once she finally got back from her break, she asked us to find a seat ourselves. It took 20 minutes for our food to be ready, and the waitress took out our appetizer and our entrees at the same time. In addition, the overpriced drink tasted like water mixed with jalapeño and lime juice... not a big fan.
Food was good. Service was terrible. I had a bad reaction to whatever they use to clean the tables.
Enjoyed very much! Great sandwiches and pizzas. Service was okay, she got our wines all confused, but service was timely and gracious
Had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The staff was good but the service bad. After placing our order a staff member let us know that they were out of pizza (what they are known for) even though we saw pizzas come out of the large brick oven at the center of the restaurant for out entire visit. We placed other orders and 2 out of 4 came out incorrect and the fifth cake out a full 15 minutes later then the rest. We were offered free dessert due to the problems. We ordered and again waited 20 minutes only to be informed by the waiter that they didn’t want to tell us that they had run out of one of the things ordered so a manager had gone to a discount grocery store down the street to replace it. Needless to say once the desserts were delivered we were all very annoyed. And to top it off the dessert they ran out of was key lime pie, but lemon meringue was placed on the table, without any acknowledgement of the switch. Will not be returning. Terrible experience.
Food was very good, service was absolutely awful. It took twenty minutes to get a glass of wine, and even then it was when my husband went to the bar to get it.
Great place that you wont really notice unless you know its there since it is in an old mill. Great thin crust pizza and mac and cheese! Really good food. Service was a bit slow even though there was not a lot of people there when we went.
Good selection of food, prepared well with good service. Enjoyed the unique renovated factory feel. Hope this place does well, because it deserves to.
Great food and cocktails! Nice place to enjoy a healthy dinner without feeling rushed.
We had a great early evening dinner. Salmon was perfectly prepared and presented. Drinks were good and server was attentive without getting in the way of conversation. A great addition to the RI dining experience.
Service was great and the food is good. Air conditioning was too cold. Asked to turn it down and they did.
Great new spot! Was a fan of Hope Kitchen but this place is even better! Food was seriously excellent, service was great, one of our meals came a bit later than the others but they apologized and took it off the bill without us even asking for it. Prices are very reasonable and it was a great meal out, nice relaxed ambiance. I appreciate restaurants that are kid-friendly but still cool so I don't have to be stuck taking my child to chain restaurants. Hoping they get a following and stick around because they deserve it, check them out!
Went for a casual lunch last weekend. Seated immediately. Buffalo Mac & Cheese was outstanding. Buddha Bowl + Salmon was fantastic - very fresh. Salmon cooked very well. Great atmosphere - would be awesome for a date night / gathering with friends.
Great atmosphere, friendly service and AMAZING food. We were a party of 3 and had the mac and cheese that was to die for, a burger that was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic and the Couch Potato pizza which was unique and delicious. Can't wait to return!
This is a great space to be in, and the menu was diverse and crowd-pleasing, if nothing earth-shattering. Both the space and the menu are conducive to bringing kids (at least early in the evening), which I appreciated. The only thing that was a real downer was the slowness of the service. We didn't have our food until nearly an hour after arriving, which is a particular challenge with children (I had my eight-year-old twins with me). They were very antsy and very hungry by the time the food arrived! Our server was entirely pleasant, but given that the place was far from packed, we definitely should have had prompter service at every point.
I was disappointed at first to see that Hope Kitchen had been superceded by Brick Oven on Main (BOOM), but I was pleasantly surprised on seeing the new menu. BOOM has a great selection from pizzas to sandwiches with options for all day dining as well. My wife and I got great tasting, hearty sandwiches with really well done french fries. There was very little to complain about for the price and attentive service, although the wait staff seemed to still be getting in touch with the latest offerings. I would visit again with hopes for more engaging, knowledgeable tableside service and the same quality food from the kitchen.
