The food menu has changed since the last time I visited 2 years ago. It was still very good. There was no wait time so that was a major plus since there was 6+ people for dinner.
Great place to hang out with some friends.
Reservation was done correctly. But the service was not up to par but they were busy so I understand. But we were not attended to for 15-20 min. No water no greeting by the waiter. So that was disappointing. Everything else was good.
The service was very disappointing tonight. We had four in our party and waited close to 30 minutes before we had to ask someone to take our drink order, who apparently was the manager. Then a waitress came over to wait on us. When she brought us our drinks they were not correct. So, she had to go back to get what we ordered. The manager did come over and apologize and said that it was her fault for the drink order being wrong, but really feel like more should have been done in their end to make up for such poor service. We eat there often and haven’t ever had bad service so hoping it was just an off night.
I net long-time friends for a relaxing time.
Very cool fireplace
I had a large group after church today so I booked a table for 15 yesterday. We arrived at our 1:00pm on time and were seated at a tall table when I requested a standard table. My 76 y/o mom can’t climb on a barstool and my 6 month old grand baby can’t use a high chair at a tall table. Ugh. This was resolved fairly quickly. We ordered food by 1:30pm and it didn’t arrive until 2::20-2:30pm. That is NOT ok. Several in my party had to leave at 2:30pm, hence the 1:00pm reservations. When asked about the food being late, we were just told they were working on it and there were a lot ahead of us. The restaurant wasn’t half full.
There was no offer of apology. There was no manager coming by to check. No comped anything. Just terrible service and we won’t be going back anytime soon.
Oh yeah, we were celebrating my birthday, my sister’s birthday, and my mom’s birthday. Thanks Brick house for making it a forgetful experience.
Love the pot pie!!
Really good place to eat. Unfortunately we had an issue with our pork chop dish. It came out with onions even though we requested them not to be on there for allergy reasons. It took over 25 minutes to get a new order made.
I previously had brunch and dinner at the Brick House Tavern, but it has been about a year or so. We loved it so; we decided to celebrate my daughter's and her husband's birthdays at Brick House. It was not crowded, but service was slow, orders were not correct, and the bison burgers were overcooked. Also, we ordered a dessert, and after about 10 min, we were told that they did not have it, so we ordered a different dessert. The waiter told us that it was on the house, then right before we were leaving after we had paid for the meal, he asked for our card so he could run it for the dessert. We thought this was very tacky.
We also told them before our dinner that we were celebrating birthdays, but they did not do anything special for the birthday guests.
Good sports bar kind of place with a bit more to choose from on the menu. Good selection of beers.
Great service and great food.
Love the sofa seating by the fireplace! The burgers are also delish.
Food took 1 hour from time we ordered. Service was awful
The food took forever and wasn’t worth the cost. Service was amazing but not sure I would return
To their credit, they did try and make it right, but there were several problems with the meal. My husband ordered a house salad with no carrots and ranch. They came back after about 5 minutes to say that the salad is already mixed and they can’t take the carrots out, how about a Caesar instead. Ok, fine. Then about 25 minutes later, they brought out his salad and my onion soup, which was crazy salty, but ok. After another pretty long stretch, we got my husband’s salmon and my chicken pot pie. He says his was pretty good. My chicken pot pie was not, enough so that I only ate a few bites and gave up on it. The hubs tried it and didn’t like it either. The waiter noticed, and had the manager comp it, and they offered to buy us a dessert, which I thought was very generous. Sadly, even the chocolate cake wasn’t very good. Maybe it was an off night. Twice I heard lots of dishes crashing in the kitchen, and the manager did try her best to fix it, but we won’t be going back.
This is a great spot. Fireplaces are a neat addition and it feels very comfortable. The portions were not overly large and there are TVs with sports screens everywhere.
Server was nice and communicated well but issues with the kitchen and timing. Food was good but took a while to get it.
This has truly been the worst restaurant experience I have had in years. The first thing we did after being seated was send all of our plates back for having black spots on them. The waitress said that's how most of their plates are, but she would be willing to go through them and pick out the whitest ones. Service was incredibly slow. After we put our order in, no one came to check on us or refill our drinks until our food came. One of the plates was stone cold. None of the steaks were cooked to order. Even the crispy breakfast potatoes were not cooked all the way through. Some plates were missing side items. I talked to Suzanne the manager to tell her this. She said she would discount the food by half. Suzanne admitted that the kitchen wasn't ready to be open. We got the check and discovered she only gave us $30 off instead of half off. I had to hold the receipt in front of Suzanne and do the math for her before she gave us half off. Terrible experience. Will never return.
Brick House claimed they did not have the Open Table confirmation. After 15 minutes they finally seated us. Service was very slow. Food was good.
Had a great time celebrating Mother's Day. Connie was a great! Food was great and a good time was had by all.
The fried fish was a bit blain, the Thai chicken salad was a bit too basic, the pork chops were delicious but they were stingy on the potatoes (2 tablespoons worth is not enough). But the drinks were good even though the service was slow. We were there 1.5 hours - too long to bother with dessert. But loved the atmosphere and décor.
We had family in town and my kitchen is under construction! We decided to take everyone out to eat instead of trying to navigate the mess I call my kitchen. The food was great and served in a timely fashion. What really made the experience great was our server. He was friendly, attentive and just about perfect in every way. We will surely come back more often for good food and great service. Thanks for hiring such good people!
We reserved a table for 8 for Happy Hour on a Friday. Atmosphere was lively, but not crowded. Service was impeccable and food was delicious. We’ll be back!
Food was great as always!!! Host was fun! Server was new but EXCELLENT! We’ll be back!
The only odd thing about this experience was even though Open Table confirmed my reservation, the restaurant hostess told my friend who arrived before I did that 1) there was no reservation and 2) they don’t honor reservations for our group size during these hours. I had booked it for 8 people. Luckily, she was seated anyway with a table that ended up being for 6 which was the amount of friends that ended up making it. I realized this in the middle of dinner when I said “I thought my table reserved was for 8” and then she told me what the hostess told her. Makes you stop and think what the point of Open Table is the restaurants won’t honor it. I would highly advise calling the restaurant directly to confirm reservation from this app.
Need more help on the service side. To help with large party's, drink orders and fold orders.
Service was great but the food was terrible
Great place for date night, work lunch or family. Great drink selection. Appetizers and shareable plates offer wide variety. Main course selections were a plate full. Great food! Service top notch. I’d book on opentable as they get busy quick. Will recommend!
Last minute valentines dinner for whole family. Food was good, waiter was good, no complaints.
Service was great! Food was just okay. Menu changed so wasn’t impressed. Used to be so good!!! May have to try something new again. Still good happy hour. Can’t go wrong there.
The food was great! First time to try the brunch menu and we will be back. Our waitress was polite and prompt but not engaging.
Great evening and food!
Service was amazing, especially since they were super busy during the Cowboys game!
Loud and a bit hectic due to the Cowboys playoff game, but the tasty food and positive demeanor of our waiter more than made up for it. Will be back for sure!
Food was ok service was awful! Waited 20 minutes to get drinks and then they brought out one kids meal while the rest if us waited for another 15 min. Just bad service. Would not go back.
While the service was great the food was not. The chicken sandwich was overcooked and consisted of mostly breading. The steak wasn't seasoned and neither was the burger. It was disappointing, considering the first few times we went, the food and the service were exceptional.
Basically poor food, poor service.
Visited the location in Parker, CO last month and enjoyed it.
Different experience here in Plano.
Even asked them to tune a TV into the Dallas Mavericks game...that didn’t happen.
Just an overly poor showing by Brick House.
Great service and food. The food was outstanding the service was fantastic. The restaurant was clean restrooms were clean what else. I only recommend. Both indoor and outdoor fireplaces or a nice touch. Prices on food a reasonable
