Brick House Tavern + Tap - Chesterfield
The service was wonderful. The food was delicious! The prices were a bit high, so we will reserve this location for special occasions.
Even though asked if "pink or no pink" on my burger and saying "no pink" it was not cooked through. I did not complain because I do not send food back to any kitchen out of fear for what happens. If you ask, then do what you offer!
Fun atmosphere, great food, and cool variety of drink! Will definitely be back there soon.
We enjoyed a leisurely and delicious dinner out with friends. Food was diverse and well prepared. Service was unobtrusive but there when we needed them. Enjoyed the fireplace and sports in the background.
The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The food was hot and delicious. The service was great! Dessert was also good. I would recommend. No complaints.
Visited on a Monday evening after traditional dining hours so not many people around. I can see how it could get pretty loud since it is one huge room with open ceilings. Server was attentive and food was good, pricing in line with other restaurants in the area. Sofa seating is different - can't say I am a fan but there are plenty of other seating options.
The biggest problem is lack of leadership and management!!! The staff was completely untrained. The hostess was very rude after we requested to move our party of 8 to 2 tables of 4 because the large table they had set up for us was in the same space as another large party and we could not even pull the chairs out on one end of our table. We were forceed to break up our party.
Two people in our party ordered drinks to start and they took forever to come.
The staff was largely a bunch of unsupervised 20 somethings just hanging out around the bar.
Different people were taking turns coming to our table to drop off menus, then eventually water. It was unclear who was waiting on us if anyone.
We finally placed our order and eventually the appetizer was plopped on our table.
We had no napkins, no utensils and no plates. After asking twice they finally arrived in one big pile at the end of one of our 2 tables. The waiter could not be bothered to distribute them between the two tables much less set the items down for each person. Pure self services!
As we passed around our own settings we realized that the plates were all sopping wet and the napkin pile that was brought out ontp of the plate stack was also wet.
I asked for a Caesar salad with no croutons and the dressing on the side. It of course came with dressing, croutons and bonus onions that don’t even go on a Caesar salad. My friend ordered the seared tuna and was served tuna jerkey. Tiny little rubber chunks of extremely well done tuna. A disgrace! Sent it back!
No dirty plates were removed so we started stacking them on a nearby table to get them out of our way! The worst part was the trip to the restroom! I walked into the filthy ladies room with my friend and was shocked to see that it appeared to have not been maintained all day perhaps all week. The sink area was dirty, the mirror was very cloudy and there were mounds of paper towels all over the floor. Best part- no toilet paper! Zero!
This restaurant was Fair.
We had a reservation for a birthday party for 6 adults.
We we we're initially seated in a corner booth too small for 6 adults.
After 15 minutes we were finally seated at a regular table with 6 chairs.
Food was okay, one of my guests ordered a bacon cheeseburger and the Bacon was almost raw.
Most of entrees we ordered had french fries, but didn't get catsup for 10 minutes.
Chicken and waffles served with out syrup.
We had no silver ware.
Flooring through the restaurant was very sticky and Gross.
My steak was good.
We enjoyed the food and ambiance next to the fireplace
On Sunday evening my family of seven went to dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday. I was not impressed with the food or service and will not go back. The food and drinks are way overpriced for what we got. My youngest son ordered a steak salad that was $17. Beside the fact that it was overpriced for what he got, he did not get his meal until we were all almost finished with our meals. I guess after slicing the steak, they realized it needed to be cooked more. No compensation was offered or apology. My daughter had a class of wine that was $10.00. Pretty sure the last time I looked you can almost buy an entire bottle for that or a bit more. It was just not a good experience. :(
Food was subpar and the place was dirty. Needs a good cleaning and maybe an update. I would not recommend it.
Slider combo- soggy, terrible flavor over all really disgusting. Took one bite of each and couldn’t do any more.
Chopped salad- had to ask for dressing (came undressed) huge chunks of wilted iceberg, onions, tomatoes- nothing chopped about it. $12 salad with no toppings.
Flat bread pizza- limp cracker crust with skimpy toppings.
Kids meal slider- stale bun, cold tator tots.
Positives: deviled egg starter and friendly service.
New Years Eve. Great Food. Great Service.
I had the pork chops and they were delicious! There were 2, so had saved one for the next day. I love the big fireplace and the cozy seating.
they really need to clean up their act & the filthy restroom.
Ambiance and atmosphere are always strong facets of Brick House Tavern. The setting is always cozy and inviting. We ordered appetizers and drinks and later entrees. The brussel sprouts would be a hard 'no' for us. They are served a little too done for our taste. When we inquired about the over-doneness with the server, we were told that the chef makes them this way due to customer tastes. Unfortunately, not for us. They were charred and burned and tastes really bad. We ordered 2 of the pork chop meals and were very tasty, juicy and tender. Overall this was a fine dining experience. We just know not to order the brussel sprouts anymore.
We had an excellent waitress !! Very solicitous but not bothersome!
Loved the timelines of the waiter and knowledge of the menu
Overall really enjoyed our evening with friends here. We had a reservation for a Saturday night which was great as we did not have to wait (not sure we would have even without the reservation). They sat us at a very comfy both but it was really close to the door. Every time someone entered or left, it got quite chilly. That was the main reason for 1 less star. Service was OK, but not great. Not sure why it takes so long to draw a couple of beers. But overall, very happy with out meal and the restaurant. We will be back and recommend it!
The restaurant has a nice ambiance with the fireplace. We sat at a table since I am not tall and the seats near the fireplace sink rather low for eating but are comfortable for just drinks. The noise level when we were there was very low and we could talk without shouting. The wait staff is always friendly.
They got our order wrong and did very little to fix the problem. Over all not the best dining experience I’ve ever had. On the positive note, their burgers are good.
I do not think I will go back this place again soon.
At the door, the girls could NOT find my online reservation!!! what the ..........
The place wasn't very busy, but service was pretty slow - that was ok since we were catch up with some old friends. Nobody was blown away by their food and my chicken was very undercooked (near raw in the center) and had to be sent back. The waitress apologized, corrected, and took it off of our tab -- still no excuse for undercooked chicken.
While I am satisfied with our meals and the service we received it should be noted some of these restaurants are not operated by Landry's, Inc. anymore and are thus not participating in their Select Club program. There is a small asterisk noting this on Landry's website but it is next to impossible to see on a mobile deice and one wonders why the company that sold those locations still lists them on their website at all. That said, this location IS NOT a Landry's operated restaurant, but the service is friendly and professional and the food leaning heavily on comfort and mid-century classic fare. This is not a place where you will find much to satisfy your weight loss regimen. It's beer, carbohydrates and, well... fun. The bar is very well stocked and I can't imagine anyone going thirsty for lack of selection. This is a fun place, mostly for adults interested in heavier entrees and a good time lubricated by a more cerebral approach to bar tending.
I will absolutely NEVER go back! BEYOND worst experience. Waited over 10 minutes for server to come to our table. Placed our order. (This was actually a party of 7, not 3). All orders were brought except my husband’s. We asked SEVERAL times about his order (grilled chicken breast/asparagus) and server did nothing about it. Also ordered a beer. Server never brought beer (BUT he did manage to bring a beer to the table next to us). waited FIFTEEN minutes before his dinner was brought out. Husband discovers half the chicken was NOT cooked. Waiter took back and never brought it back.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at Brick House. Service was slow and inexperienced. Food took forever to arrive. Every table near us as well as us had to complain to the manager. I am pretty sure the manager was the source of the problem. He kept apologizing but seemed incapable of managing his people. They have also ruined the menu recently. We may not be back.
Brick House was very disappointing. Not really busy for a Friday evening but service was just so slow. Our waiter was nice and friendly but seems like he had to handle too many tables. Drinks came out from the bar SO SLOW and not that great. Food was just barely average. For the lack of people in the restaurant it was very loud. Maybe from the high ceilings? Guess if you want a beer, not a mixed drink, and watch sports you might like this place. We won't go back.
Draft was flat. Food was good. Service was kind of slow. Disappointed that this location doesn’t participate in the Landry’s Select Club.
Had a great time there. Waiter very nice and fun. Food was amazing. Had the pulled pork grilled cheese and it was fantastic!!
Fathers Day w/my Son & Granddaughter. Food didn’t have much flavor, service was not great, & kids meal was $6 (small cup of Mac & cheese that looked like Kraft, & nothing else included).
Happy Hour is really good but not a fan of brunch.
Food was average at best, as was the service. We were dismayed to see a bartender vaping behind the bar while making drinks.
Great table, great service, nice ambiance, great happy hour
Food was decent, but service was unbelievably slow and almost non-existent at times. We waited about 15 minutes to even get our drink orders taken. After drinks were delivered, we didn’t see our server until he picked up our dishes & brought the check.
No one waited on us for quite some time. Once waited on we then waited for 20 mins for a beer. Had to ask waitress 3 times for the same thing (honey mustard for chicken sandwich) that she never brought. Table next to us had similar issues and complained to management. To top it off my burger was cold when it came out. But the plate was hot. Wouldn’t go there again !
The overall experience was ok, the food was on the downside, I had the grill chicken sandwich and to be honest, I didn't finish it because one it was tough to chew and second there was no taste just bland and my son had the chicken strips and fries, he like the strips but his fries he might of had maybe 10 to 12 fries on his plate and my friends who we with got fries with there food as well and couldn't believe it, they offered some of their fries to him because they had so many, I asked the waitress about it and she apologized and brought him some more, the group that I was with all agreed that place is not as alive as has been in the past, it seems to be slipping, We come to place about 3 or 4 times year when we all get together, this the place they want to go, we are now considering a place just down the road from there. Sorry but what use to be a fun place to come with great food, it's not so anymore.
Good service, food and atmosphere
We eat here often and they are always so accommodating. They carefully read the notes I left on the reservation, gave us the perfect table, and even bought us a round of drinks. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.
