Brick and Mortar is an upscale gastropub located in Downtown Cincinnati at the corner of 6th and Vine. Walking distance to many of Cincinnati's landmark attractions including Fountain Square, Aronoff Center for the Arts, the Duke Energy Convention Center, and Over the Rhine.     Took 15 minutes to receive our drinks when the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Drinks were just ok. Service was poor as the only times we saw our waitress were when we ordered and food and drinks. Chicken sandwich was wayyy over done. Will not be back.

    We had a rez for 6:30. There was no host so the bartender yelled over our table would be ready in a minute. While she poured us a wine, another couple was seated in our booth. We then had to eat at the bar. Boo. We both had burgers and they were dry, overcooked and lacked flavor. Since we were right next to the kitchen entrance (yay) we saw they sold a LOT of burgers. I think they just cranked out 50 before rush and sent them out. We waited a half an hour for the burgers... But the entire staff (except one guy) had time to do shots of tequila behind the bar. Not very classy for the Cincinnatian.

You have made us aware of a serious concern that we are investigating further. Unfortunately, our cameras don't cover the entire bar so we aren't able to see staff pouring themselves drinks.     Service was poor. Not sure if she was new but lots of opportunity. Drinks were wrong.

    Although we thought the food was good, it didn’t make up for the fact that it took 1 hour to arrive at our table . There was only one other table of guests , so no excuse! Our server was more than apologetic and asked the manager to compensate us but we never saw the manager. I think the Restuarant has potential but it has a long way to go with customer service !

    I really wanted to like this. The food is pretty good but the service isn’t there. The staff is really nice but you can tell they are trying to learn how to run a restaurant. It took a whole to get menus, order our food, and then half the food came out 15 minutes after the other half. They really need to train their staff to be effective. Also the restaurant needs to pick a theme. Is it fancy is it sports? TVs too close to table.

    To call the service poor is an understatement. Started to think that this place was self serve. Got up and asked four times to have our waitress sent to our table — and nothing. Do not waste your time or money. Many other options available in the area.

    I invited my friends there for girls night because it looked like a beautiful restaurant with great food. I’m a vegitarian and the one thing I could eat ... they didn’t have any more of. The Veggie pasta they created cans out incorrect but I tried to eat it anyway and it just wasn’t good. The waitress was accommodating but seemed overworked so it kind of took away from the experience. There also was a breeze anywhere you sat every time the door open. And it’s winter! Therefore, it was cold!! Overall I wouldn’t go again.

    This was an enjoyable night out. We were suspect at first because the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. Food and service were both very good.
