Every dish we got was so good! We highly recommend the lobster ravioli and the truffle gnocchi. We sat outside in the heated tent and even though it was freezing out, the tent was so warm and cozy.
Solid place although the tagliatelle noodles could have been a bit better.
Kale salad was excellent, pesto pasta was fine but would not order again. However the staff was wonderful, and it is a good pre-show option near Broadway.
Great value and great food. I can't wait to go back!
We stopped for lunch before theater. Ate outside. Heaters, service and food superb.
Very good gnocchi, wine, and bread. I liked that we could eat outside, but the tables are a little close together.
My favorite wine bar in the city. It is very small and sitting at the bar allows conversations with other patrons, the bartender, and the waitstaff. It is not as crowded as in the past as they have expanded to outdoor seating though I recommend sitting at a shared table or bar inside. The food is primarily small plates; lamb lollipops are delicious as is the charcuterie of various meats and cheeses. The pasta is also very good. Always consider trying the specials.
We waited for 30 minutes to be seated when we had a reservation and they never sat us. Said they were dealing with a larger party. We left without dining there.
I made the reservation specifically for “inside bar seating”. The place is small so we waited outside until our reservation time. After waiting for some time, the host set up a table OUTSIDE. I reminded her we booked inside bar seating and the host said they do not guarantee any tables. Even though there were 2x different options when booking the reservation. It was below freezing temperatures outside, so we did not dine with the restaurant.
I would stay away during the winter because they will sit you outside in the snow!
Parpadelle spaghetti was very good. Orrochiette with sausage was delicious too. Perfect sized servings. Caesar salad was also good with anchovies. Very small place but very good food. We sat at the wine bar because they were going to put us in the middle of a long shared table which would have been horrible. They have quaint outside seating which would have been even better. Ask for that. Service was good. Very good food for reasonable price.
Poor signage- couldn't see it from the street. Need to put a sign out so people can find you.
Lovely intimate location and food was awesome. Highly recommend.
The food was AMAZING and our server was great. The best calamari I’ve ever had and the truffle gnocchi special was truly incredible. The only thing I’d say would’ve been good to know is that indoor seating is community-style at one long table, where the seating is a bit tight with strangers next to you. It ended up being fine because we had an early reservation (4:45), but I wouldn’t have been thrilled if we had people so close since we were there to celebrate our engagement. Not very romantic haha
No real sign. Trust the address. Real-time all. Incredible service, really good food and wine.great for prethester,
Food was delicious !
We sat 9 at the long main dining table and it was AMAZING. The food was great, wine was great, service was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone for a fun, tasty meal before a Broadway show or date night!
We had a reservation and were turned away because they didn’t have any room. Not “there’s a wait” not “sorry give us a few minutes” but just a straight up “we can’t sit you. Leave”. Great way to ruin a Saturday when all the other restaurants were full AND the host was rude about it—even though we were nice and understanding. It’s like she was expecting a fight and tried to preemptively fight us. Genuinely wouldn’t rely on this restaurant if you want to make sure you have a spot to eat at or have a date. Not worth the headache or the poor service.
Great diner at Briciola, the food is really tasty with nice choice and the service is amazing !
So wonderful - food, ambiance, and our lovey waitress
Outstanding food and service! Waiter was exceptional and our food was wonderful!
Very small space but excellent food and drink and personable staff! Would highly recommend and can't wait to return.
The food was pretty terrible, unfortunately.
Delicious food and super cute
dependable theater dining that feels like your favorite little place around the corner
We had a great experience at Briciola. It's a small space, making for a cozy and intimate dining experience. We sat in the covered outdoor area with heat lamps and were perfectly comfortable. We were seated late due to the previous reservation taking longer than planned and it put us in a bit of a time crunch. We told our waiter that we had a show to get to, she took our order and the kitchen got our food out super quick. So we were able to dine, enjoy our meal and wine without the pressure of time. The food was really nice, solid Italian dishes. Loved the wine we had. Wish we could have stayed a bit longer for dessert. Would definitely recommend this place and will go back!
The staff at Briciola is fantastic and the food never fails to impress.
A bit difficult to find, no signage, but when we figured it out we were quickly seated outside for our reservation. Tried small plates from all areas of the menu. Most were very tasty and delivered to the table quickly. Eggplant starter and Pear salad were excellent. One pasta dish was a bit undercooked, but still pretty tasty.
Enjoyed watching the street scene or rather being part of the street scene but it was a bit noisy.
We had a reservation, but someone walking in without a reservation was able to snag our table even though we'd been assured by the staff that the next open table would be ours. While they apologized repeatedly for the mistake, their solution was to sit us across the street at Aria, their sister restaurant with the same exact menu. It took forever for them to take our order and the food was just ok. Before selecting this restaurant I read several reviews online about how great the pasta was and our impression is that it was just ok. These 2 restaurants go into my "no repeat" list.
Even though we had reservations we had to sit out side. The menu was very very limited. Small portions. Would not go back
Can’t speak much about Briciola since when we got there they walked us across the street to sit at their other restaurant which was odd. And then sat 3 of us at the bar. Ambiance is great. Food is okay. Service was lacking. I won’t be returning unfortunately
Stuck on street despite reserving tin door. Waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged, then the waiter bailed. Explained to hostess we had other plans, didn’t matter so we left. Lousy, terrible, ridiculous experience. Stay away.
Como siempre muy bueno !
In an otherwise touristy area this restaurant is great. Beautiful atmosphere, really great food and friendly, professional service.
The challenge was finding the location as there was no visible signage. Once we inquired and we’re seated, the experience was pleasant in every way.
Simple, fresh and reasonable price and perfect for pre-theater dinner.
We made a reservation and they made us get in the line with everyone else. They sat everyone in front of us (without reservations) and filled up. To “solve the problem” they sent us across the street to their sister restaurant that supposedly had the same menu, but it was actually different. We received bad service there as well.
This was by far the worst food my friends and I have eaten in NYC ever!
We were hopeful when our waitress greeted us almost immediately after being seated, but it quickly went south.
The olives and feta were awful-the olives were hard and tough and the feta was of poor quality. There was no salt or pepper anywhere to be found or anyone to bring it to us. We never saw the waitress again for a while.
Then the entrees came out. To say that they looked unappetizing is an understatement. The fettuccine al funghi looked like there were canned mushrooms on top and the tagliatelle Bolognese looked like beef stroganoff over noodles. Neither dish had any flavor whatsoever, again there was no salt or pepper anywhere and to top it off, both pastas were cold. But wait…at least we got a free COLD molten chocolate cake out of it. The waitress reacted so weirdly when she came over to see that there was still quite a bit of pasta left in the bowls. We told her it was cold when it arrived and she said that was not possible and offered a free dessert which we really didn’t want. If she had come over to check in with us after the food had been delivered then she would have been able to salvage the situation. We didn’t have the heart to tell her that the food was pretty much inedible in addition to being cold.
I do not understand how this restaurant has such a high rating on google and even has good reviews. Sometimes you go to a restaurant and the food is so so, this was simply just awful.
Way too expensive for what it is. Tasted fine though.
So cute and amazing food for a great price!! Would definitely recommend :)
