Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.

Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.

The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.

Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with appetizer selections.

I've had better experiences. VERY noisy, super cramped and uncomfortably close to other patrons (like could follow along in every word of their conversation). Service was good. Food was nothing out of the park at all. I've had much better Italian food for 1/3 of the cost. Will not go back, and would not recommend to anyone.

Was very impressed with every aspect of Bricco - the drinks were excellent, the food was exceptional and dessert was fantastic! The service was very good - timely but not intrusive. We will definitely be back!

Valentines Day. I know it’s a tough night for restaurants. We had a great time and the food was great. Service was polite and we got everything needed, but there were a couple hiccups. The table next to us received our apps which were then taken off their table and put directly on ours. I had watched them not touch anything so no big deal but this shouldn’t happen. Also we ordered 3 courses - an app, a pasta, then a main - and I wanted them to come out in that order, but we received the pasta and the main at the same time. Again, did it have a huge impact on our experience, no; but it would’ve been perfect if those two items had been properly handled.

Too loud, too dark and our reserved table was in the bar area, which was tight for four adults. Food was very good, however, tomahawk steak was overpriced with not much meat.

With so many choices in this neighborhood I was not happy I went with this one. Our Waitress had an attitude, we had a table on the 2nd floor & it was cold even though I was next to the fireplace & food was marginal at best especially for the price. I would never recommend it.

We were visiting from out of town on a business trip and found this establishment on the web. I was very disappointed, even after booking a reservation on line, that we were placed at a very cramped table in the bar area. We felt stuffed in an out of the way table away from other diners and had no atmosphere, really, to enjoy. The food was excellent, the waiter made every effort to make the experience a great one, but the noise in the bar area was so loud there was great difficulty in hearing the waiter or each other. This dinner was a special occasion (my birthday) and we had hoped, given the reviews, a far better experience.

Night and day difference from the last time I visited, when the food and service was excellent. This time the food was bland (especially the burrata), rushed and the service wasn’t attentive at all. Shame because I liked it before but for the price, I’m now going to go elsewhere.
