Bricco’s star has been rising steadily since restaurateur Frank DePasquale revamped the menu to feature modern interpretations of regional Italian dishes.
Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.
The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.
Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with appetizer selections.

Bricco Ratings and Reviews
Was there for my birthday and they stuck my boyfriend and I upstairs in the tiniest little corner. The wall was disgusting and cracked paint all over just was really not what I wanted on my birthday at all. The ambiance upstairs is not at all what i would hope for in the north end. Food was alright. Will not be going back.
My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at Bricco. We were early for our reservation on a busy Friday night, but they seated us quickly. I had the braised beef short rib and it was excellent. The glace was amazing. She had the Pork Tenderloin, and it was tender and moist. The asparagus wrapped in bacon was a nice accompaniment to the meat. We look forward to our next visit!
I've gone to Bricco close to 10 times. While the food is top notch each time, half the time, the service is the worst in the North End. Our waiter was so MIA that in order to pay the check at the end of the meal, after the waiter gave us the wrong check twice we finally had to walk downstairs to pay the bill.
If you're considering Bricco for a date or special event, I would strong recommend finding somewhere else...which is quite easy to do in the north end.
Recommended by a friend. However, it didn’t live up to the hype. My wife’s meal was good, mine was very mediocre. Had to send it back cause it was cold. Hugely disappointed. Tables were very close and there were very loud people with crazy cackling laughing that made it hard to have a conversation.
We celebrated my 40th birthday here a week ago and had the most amazing time. The food is superb--handmade pastas, original recipes and excellent wine list as well as cocktails. The best part was the service--our server, Emilio, was just fantastic! He made it an incredibly special night and gave us such wonderful attention. I'd recommend Bricco to anyone for a special occasion!
Our waiter VuVu (Sp?) was excellent. He suggested a nice Barolo that was below $100 which was surprising since I always have spent north $125+ for one. Food was delicious and he decided on our dishes since we didn’t mind. Only dish that was just OK was the Veal Shank.
Otherwise I always enjoy dining here and will return soon.
My experience at Bricco was great as usual. This was my 29th birthday dinner and everything was fantastic. We sat down a bit past our reservation time, but we were a larger party so it was understandable. The food here is always fantastic and I️ am bringing my family over Thanksgiving weekend... can’t wait!
Bricco was ok. It was very loud and we were seated in the bar area, so there were constantly people standing basically at our table. The food was ok. Pasta was like warm. The sea bass was good. They also made a good Manhattan. In their defense, it was Friday evening so there was a large crowd drinking in the bar. The location is great and there is a ton of energy around the area. Ask to sit in the dining room!
