Bricco has garnished superlative reviews from food writers in Boston and around the country – Best Guaranteed Meal in the North End and Best Pasta in Boston just two of the most recent accolades.
The talented kitchen team creates “boutique” Italian food, so-called because it is unique, personal and created for a select and sophisticated diner. The food is complemented by an enoteca (wine bar) with an exceptional selection of all-Italian wines.
Bricco also offers a sophisticated late night scene. The chic and energetic bar serves up great one of a kind cocktails as well as brick oven pizza with gourmet toppings such as prosciutto and fresh mozzarella from Italy in addition with appetizer selections.
To quote our server, Emilio, the food was gorgeous! Best veal chop ever and espresso martini (liquid dessert) is to die for! We will definitely be back for the food, but more importantly, the service. Emilio was amazing!
Bricco is always amazing!!!
Had a reso at 7:45 didn’t get seated until 8:30
I love this place. I got to Boston every year with my wife and we always go to dinner here. The food is amazing. It could be little noisy downstairs and upstairs too, depending on who else is eating. That being said, we will continue to go every year.
Friend in town
Good food, great energy, great experience.
Excellent food choices and quality. Linguine with white truffles was delicious, as was the Seafood Risotto.
Truffles... finger licking exquisite!
Made a reservation for our 30th anniversary. Was expecting a nice table in a dining room..we were promptly lead to a small table adjacent to a very noisy bar in a high traffic area about 10 feet from a TV. My salmon and the bed of onions it was on arrived cold. Our server kindly had it reheated for me and discounted our bill, but overall disappointed..not exactly the nice evening we were looking forward to. I was misled by website I think.
I was at Bricco celebrating my Dad’s birthday. The service was great and food was delicious!
Service and atmosphere was great. The food just came out sooo fast. I felt like it wasn't prepared fresh because of how quickly it came to the table. We didn't feel rushed.. just was odd. Wine selection was outstanding. Oysters were wonderful. Pasta dishes were just okay.
I have dined at Bricco over ten times in the last year. It is one of my favorite spots in the North End.
Delicious food and good service. Lots of diners make for lively conversation, so its not a quiet dine.
The agnolotti was scrumptious.
The Chilean Sea Bass, Oven Roasted Brick Chicken, Lamb Shank, and Pasta dishes were excellently prepared. All so delicious. I'm never disappointed here. They don't rush you so we had a nicely paced dinner on Thanksgiving day. I cannot wait to return!
It was fabulous. Our waiter was Michael, he was excellent. We will be back!
Food was delicious, service was fantastic.
food and service was great. place is a bit much (loud/packed) for my taste but i can see why.
Great food, fabulous waitress made it a really enjoyable evening!
Booked 6:00pm reservation Saturday for wife’s birthday dinner. Seated promptly at table for four on other side of restaurant from main entrance. Thought that would mean quieter than packed front area. Wrong! Table sets so close to each other, chairs pushed from back all night. Bar extends length of room alongside tables. Bar patrons allowed to stand two-three deep with their rear ends at head level with table guests all night. Tables very darkly lit. Menu items and wine list compare in price and markup with five-star restaurant but experience is twenty-something bar crowd. Noise is DEAFENING! Cannot hear table companions. Food was very good but lacked creativity. Service as good. There is a serious disconnect between front of house and back of house. Not sure if they want to be a local bar or top-end food and beverage restaurant. Our experience is the prior, but that makes little sense compared to diner price per head and need to support high-quality wine cellar. Cut three - four tables and reduce bar patrons until 9:00 pm and they may have something worth dining at. Otherwise, serve the bar customer only and save money on excellent ingredients and high-end wine. Would absolutely not recommend dining experience for price. Oh, and no mention of wife’s birthday, so dont bother to tell them if it is a special occasion.
We had reservations but had to wait 1/2 hour thank goodness we didn’t have to be somewhere. The food was fabulous and would return for that. The ambiance was to dark could barely see my food. I like to see what I’m eating and could barely see my cousin at the other end of the table. Too many great restaurants in the north end not sure I would return to Bricco
overpriced ... but worth it for a special ocassion
Had been great in the past. Not any more. Very mediocre. Pasta was over cooked and clumped into a giant blob. I’m allergic to garlic and it took quite a bit to come up w something I could eat. Chef was helpful, waitperson didn’t seem to get what I was talking about and didn’t offer suggestions. We had expensive glasses of unknown wine and were never offered a taste to help choose. They took the bread off the table before we finished. We were sitting in an odd spot where the folks in the padded seats were on a slant and the table was almost up the mid chest. It’s a very loud restaurant so don’t expect to have a conversation of any depth. For $200 dinner it was very disappointing.
The waiter left the impression that he wanted us to sit down, eat and move on so that he could get the next customer at the table.
We were disappointed with the food. The pasta was over cooked and I could not taste any sage in my pumpkin stuffed pasta even though sage was part of the name. The others in our party said their food was ok, but not exceptional. We also felt very rushed by the wait staff. Seemed to have more staff than needed attending each table. It was also extremely noisy and very hard to have a conversation without shouting.
Only reason I gave a 4 star on service is because a member of the party had to wait for his meal and that made everyone else wait as well. His meal should have been the easiest out of all the meals since it was polenta. Other than that everything was great.
Awesome as always! Consistently great food.
Food was absolutely delectable! Although the portions were small, so I’m not sure if they are worth the price. Definitely would recommend.
Food was incredible...and wait staff was fantastic ! Looking forward to going back soon !!!
Highly recommend Bricco. Sea Bass and Duck were delicious
The BEST Italian Place in the North End. Take the waiters' suggestions. He provided a group of 10 people with a wonderful meal and experience.
Great food great service
I went to Bricco two nights in a row last week, and once e week before. All three experiences were absolutely amazing: the service, quality of drinks, quality of food, cleanliness, and the staff (chefs, waiters, front desk, etc). You have to get the fresh pastas - and the banana bread pudding for dessert. Patti and Emilio are the greatest!! I’ll be back soon of course. PS. Start out with an espresso martini.
Food and service was fantastic. We arrived at 6pm and though the restaurant was almost full at this time, drinks, salad and apps came out quickly. Veal chop and sea bass were cooked expertly, and the baked eggplant appetizer was delicious. We sat at a two top table by the front windows, which was cold and a tight squeeze. We will definitely go back with hopes of a more comfortable seat next time.
Poor service, extremely high prices for small portions.
Always my favorite place with clients
Everything from start to finish was amazing. Great service and every food item we ordered blew us away. Will definitely go back
Nice ambiance, romantic but unassuming.
Anniversary
Bricco never disappoints! Some of the best meals I’ve had at a restaurant have been here!!
