Rooted in the historic Moore Square Park in downtown Raleigh, Brewery Bhavana is a gathering place celebrating communal beer experiences that exhibit the hand of the maker. Brewery, dim sum restaurant, flower shop, and bookstore, Bhavana is our love letter to a community that has given us so much.
We look forward to seeing you!
Love it here but wish mushrooms could have been taken out of the Lo Mein dish. They were big mushrooms so I really don’t know how difficult it was to exclude them. Sounds like a laziness issue or an arrogance one. Regardless, my first so-so experience and will still come back. Just hope chef has more leniency next time.
A great experience. Everything is just perfectly done. The food, the beer, the service, the ambiance. A delightful evening at a delightful place.
Our server Austin was both adorable and very friendly. He walked us through the menu and told us of his his favorites dishes and had bread recommendations for us. We we were very pleased with the service. The food was tasty, full of flavor and the ambiance was beautiful, we had a great time for first timers. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family, and anyone who would like a great evening out at a chic restaurant.
Amazing food, especially the fish dishes. Also such an amazing atmosphere and can feel the good energy.
Absolutely delish! Great value and setting for our Anniversary lunch!
Wonderful, unique experience from top to bottom! We will be back for sure.
Absolutely! It lived up to the hype! I would try the moon cakes and the scallion pancakes!
Excellent menu options and I love the combination bookstore/flower shop/restaurant. Very lively bar crowd.
100%. My wife and I go there a lot and have never been disappointed. They have something for everyone.
Beer is great, with a wide selection to choose from. Sow and Till are light if you want something a little softer. If you want an IPA the Grove has great flavor and is a heavier hitter at around 8%. If you are into sour beer, they have the Piglett, which is definitely sour, but you can still taste the flavors.
Cocktails are great. Not as well versed in these but my wife is. The jalapaneo margarita seems to be a reoccuring favorite along with the passion fruit (maybe grapefruit) drink they have. Both of the drinks have enough flavor where you dont just feel like you are drinking straight alcohol, but they arent skimping on the alcohol either.
We always open with the Scalion pancakes (the meat melts in your mouth), dumplings (cant go wrong with which ones), and the Pork Boa. All incredible.
For dinners if it is your first time I always recommend the Lo mein, general tso, or lap chung fried rice. They are more traditional so they are a safe bet for new customers. If you want something a little spicier, go for the long horn pepper steak. Has a great kick, but is not over barring.
For dessert go with the banana cake. It is basically a moist banana bread with frosting.
We got a series of little plates and they all were delicious. Our server was great. The noise level was a little over the top so this isn’t a place to have an intimate meal with a date. The food was fantastic even though it was a little more than we expected to pay for lunch.
One of my favorite spots in RDU - great beer, and an awesome, varied, tasty menu
Maybe I heard such wonderful things about this restaurant that I had a little let down. The dumplings were outstanding. The lo mein was nice, my only disappointment was that there was basically only one vegetable in it. Maybe I was slightly disappointed in the menu selection but I would go back.
Everything was awesome. The staff was very pleasant and the vibe was great! Food was quick and delicious... server was very knowledgeable and nice!
Awesome as usual!
Awesome! Food was unbelievably great!
We had a great time, food was excellent and service was better! Leisurely meal in spite of the busy room, our favorite spot
Great atmosphere. Food is amazing. Cant wait to g back.
Our experience was exceptional from start to finish. We moved here from Chicago, and Brewery Bhavana is of the caliber of restaurants we are used to; beautiful open and minimalistic space, every beer we tasted was smooth and delicious (usually local breweries have a few hits and the rest are just okay or worse, but Every. Single. Beer. was incredible), the food was beautifully made and presented (although the soup boa could use a much thinner dough that melts in your mouth—too thick and chewy), and service outstanding. Our only complaint is that we tried for a year to get a reservation, and no matter what, had to book ~3 months out, however there were so many open tables! Feels like a marketing scam to increase the feeling of popularity, and was disappointing knowing we could have likely gotten in much sooner.
Beer was outstanding. Service was excellent. Limited vegetarian options but very good.
Yummy food and excellent service! I have been wanting to come here for a long time and it was worth the wait.
Great beer, great dumplings and bao in a unique and trendy atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
Our waitress, Jamie, made the experience phenomenal.
Great food and great atmosphere! The spicy green margarita is amazing!
Overall it was good however the dim sum quality is subpar! They do have different varieties than normal dim sum places, which is a plus but having had real dim sum so many times in the past makes me give this place a solid 4 star. Price is definitely 2x the normal dim sum places even in Raleigh area. Service was really good and fast.
It’s always amazing! Great service, scrumptious food and wonderful atmosphere.. so enjoy when we get to go..
Would recommend for the beer and service, but not the food.
This was our first time in coming here, totally blown away by the excellent service from Selma! The food was decadent and served with such superb sauces we look forward to returning! Thank you
The atmosphere is very open with a comfortable vibe. Out server was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. The food was delicious! We got the Beef with longhorn pepper which had a great flavor but it was pretty spicy so if you don't like hot dishes, I would not recommend it. We will definitley be back to try more dishes!
Absolutely lives up to it's reputation - a beautiful experience all around. So lucky to have this in Raleigh!
service was great! food was super! noise level was a bit loud? definitely a spot to frequent often!
Thus is one of my favorite restaurants I've been to in my 67 years, (besides my own cooking). The food it's just what I like. Pig ears is a must!
Brewery Bhavana absolutely lives up to the hype. Exceptional food, unbelievably delicious beer, and incredible service!
Wonderful! Great experience!
Delicious! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Will be back!
What a lovely lunch! Brewery Bhavana is my go-to destination whenever out-of-town friends come to visit. Delicious beer, wonderful natural light, fun evening ambiance, interesting books, fabulous flowers, and food that is as perfect as the space...what's not to love?!
Great food, drinks and ambiance! A great spot to showcase Raleigh and impress your out-of-town guests.
The place and Food were amazing! Linda (our server) was on point and very friendly! Would definitely visit again when in town.
Perfect for any occasion, and you cannot compre the ambiance of the restaurant!.
The food and service were unbelievable. The beer was delicious. We really enjoyed our time there.
