   The food was okay, nothing special. Oxtail pizza (dough was overcooked, oxtail was salty and the there was barely any cheese, the drinks had basically 0 alcohol, they tasted liked juice and I don’t drink like that. I was disappointed

   Waiter very slow took us over hour to receive our oxtail pizza. Waiter forget a bunch of things . Good was very mid wasn’t that good at all. Oxtail pizza was about a 6. Nothing was as it was in the pictures. Basically it’s cat fish.

   Everything was pretty amazing.. the only thing that bothered me was we ordered the Snapper and it took over half an hour for them to tell us they didn’t have anymore. That was slightly disappointing.

   Literally from start to finish this was an exquisite venture. Chanell our hostess was warm and inviting, Tim our server was on point. Even the bus boy, can't recall his name, total apologies, was on his A game. We happened upon game night and though the Live DJ called me old with his music selection for me (I am btw) it was an experience that was MOST enjoyable. Coming from Chicago my standards for food, service and quality are high but they were met at each turn at Breauklyn Tequila & Tacos! Will definitely return! OH we ordered the rum punch wings, plantain with black beans, plantain with jerk chicken, mimosa flight and pina colada mimosa, ALL superb and would order again. The ONLY negatives were it was super chilly inside but that was remedied by turning off the ceiling fans and a pesty mosquito kept buzzing about. Otherwise I would highly recommend and again WILL be returning!

   Our server David was great and attentive and the Chef forgot his name from Guyana he came and ask if we had any issues with the meal etc we will definitely be back and hopefully have the same team… cause I had mix feelings after reading the reviews … glad we took a chance

   The energy of the establishment is nice the food was ok the service was not good the waiter was sweet but not attentive enough my friend ordered steak and eggs it look like they scramble one egg literally and gave it to him for the price you should get at least three eggs. I ordered chicken and red velvet waffles which tasted like cinnamon waffles instead but they was still good.. The issue was my food didn’t come out until after my friend finished eating his entire meal and I had to tell the waiter that I still didn’t get my food. We had to eat our meals by ourselves which is not ok. The best thing about the place is the decor and the dj was on fire

    Came here for MDW on Sunday. I really wanted to like this place being black and it’s a black-owned business but I’ll never come back here. First off, there was no one at the front to greet me so I just waited until the hostess came back. She sat me in the most awkward, uncomfortable and tucked spot. Then she tells me once you sit down, you have a 1 hour and 30 minute time limit. Um, ok. They weren’t even fully packed but whatever. Our server was cool but he was too cool to the point where he spent time at other tables just talking to everyone else. It took awhile to get our drink orders then we got them and the ice was just melted because it was so hot inside. I ordered the steak and eggs and I literally could have made this WAY better. My eggs were over cooked, the steak was subpar. Then my friends wanted to order another drink. I had a feeling we shouldn’t have just based on the service and sure enough, it took 35 minutes and then the wrong drinks we brought to us. At that point, we just wanted our check. We let our server know that we were ready for the check. He says ok cool. 15 minutes pass and he is nowhere to be found. 20 minutes later, he’s just walking around spaced out then we call him over and he comes to us and says “wassup?”. Did we not just ask for our check?? It was unbelievable. This staff needs extensive PROFESSIONAL training because it shows the lack of training (if any). So many servers kept bringing over entrees that weren't ours. It’s unfortunate because I live in this neighborhood but have no inclination to ever come back. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere in downtown BK where there aren’t a million rules and a trained staff.

    Had a great time. What I wasn’t expecting was the food to be as delicious as it was. Can’t wait to go back. Bottomless drinks weren’t strong according to my friends. I had a mocktail and it was good. Overall I enjoyed my time in this establishment.

    Had a table of 7 and we were treated VERY poorly. The hostess was making up rules about why she could not seat us. The waiter was NOWHERE to be found, we waited forever for our drinks while he was flirting with women. The food was very salty. I had high hopes but was let down.     The food is really good. I recommend trying them out. I went on a Friday night and it was moderately busy. We ordered the oxtail Mac & cheese, oxtail empanadas, oxtail pizza & shrimp stuffed fried plantain. Also a strawberry margarita & mango mojito. Everything was really good. My problem was the service and how they operate. Within minutes of ordering, our Mac came out like it was sitting just waiting to be zapped and brought to the table. Then the empanadas and plantain came out. We were almost done with everything and still did not have our drinks. Our drinks finally came out and then we thought maybe they forgot about our pizza. We had our drinks and towards finishing our drinks, the pizza finally came out. No one said it would be a wait or apologized. But we just rolled with it because the food was actually really good. So great food but subpar service.

    Lobster Mac and cheese was burnt cheese soup. Drinks are mediocre Tacos were bland Texture of the octopus was good. Everything else horrible. Service needs to be addressed. I’ve been a bartender for 10 years. No one speaks when you walk in. I walked up to a male server with locs and he just kept ignoring me. Even though his section was right next to mines. I waited 35 mins for a check when everyone has handhelds. Just very bad, will never come again. I came on karaoke night. Maybe you should change it to training night service.     They are NOT stingy with their Oxtail!!! The Oxtail Mac is IMMACULATE... Oxtail EVERYTHING is Immaculate on their menu, just on the expensive, yet worth it! The food came out so fast I almost was afraid I received someone else's order. They also have hookah and drinks however I didn't indulge in either so I can't give a review on that.

    Disappointed!!! I am writing this review while still sitting in the restaurant. Took my sister here to celebrate her birthday. When I made the reservations, I put “birthday” under the special occasion section. When we arrived, there was seating near the flower wall, which would have been a nice place to sit for my sister to take pictures for her birthday. Although there were seats available, we were seated by the stairs where everyone somehow kept walking into the back of my sister and friends chairs (annoying). There was seating for my sister, friend and myself, but the hostess put her friends (who came in after us, and kept calling her by her first name while laughing) in the available seats by the flower wall. Food: the lobster macaroni and cheese was salty and too cheesy. The plain fried chicken wings were good. I wanted chili lime wings, but was informed that they did not have anymore. My sister had the oxtail stuffed plantain (she said it was good, minus the aioli sauce). Drinks: TERRIBLE!!! Especially for $16. I had a coconut margarita. It was basically margarita mix, ice, and coconut shavings (not a drop of tequila). My sister had strawberry daiquiri that was very very sweet (also not a drop of alcohol). We are not alcoholics. However, if the drinks are $16 they should be good! The waitress: was nice, although she took the water that was for my friend off of our table and gave it to another table. We were very confused. However, she was very apologetic about us not having a great experience. Music: Nice! WAY TOO LOUD! You can’t hear the people you are sitting next to, because everyone is yelling trying to talk over it. Price: I paid $105 for lobster macaroni and cheese, wings (5), plantain stuffed oxtails and two terrible drinks

    I had a party of 6 and the food came so quick everyone in my party had their food quick. The drinks aren’t watered down I definitely recommend the tequila flight. We all had something different with oxtails and there was no fat on them.

    if i could give this place -5 stars i would. we drove 3 hrs to try this spot when we could’ve stayed home. the host was super nice & welcoming. our waitress was ok, she kind of gave off nonchalant but seemed a little sincere in the end because of all we experienced. the silverware still had food on them prior to us eating. there wasn’t any turkey wings. we had the oxtail empanadas (7/10) two lobster macs (8/10) hair was found in my moms mac, the waitress then told the owner or manager, once he came he just said sorry & said “was there anything else you wanted?” which there wasn’t. he wasn't really empathetic & didn’t accommodate us at all. the strawberry lemon drops was very sweet & mid (5/10) for entree, the menu stated the lamb, garlic mash & brussel spouts. i switched the brussel spouts out for elote corn (which was just parmesan cheese & mayo 2/10) we had lamb, rice & elote corn. we were never told we were getting rice. it tasted a little too much like cigarettes, im not sure if it was smoked but it was not good at all. the lamb was just supposed to be grilled with the sauce on the side, the sauce was on the lamb. it was very sweet & the lamb was cut super thin. i’m a lamb eater & that for sure was the worst lamb i ever had. (2/10) the portions they give you aren’t worth the price, especially being as though gratuity is included. on our way out we walked pass the owner/manager & he didn’t say a word. not a “thanks for coming or sorry about that” nothing. i do not recommend this place at all, i wish i could take my whole experience back. please be careful & watch who you support.

    My server was tall dark and handsome and he was a vibeeeeee🥰 TY love As Soon as I got in a immediately recommended this hot place to all my friends. I was by myself and still didn’t feel alone.     Pros: - The food and music were great. They played a mixture of dancehall, reggae, soca, afrobeats and reggaeton. - Servers are extremely nice. - They have outdoor seating. Cons: - We went here for Mother’s Day on Sunday and when we got there we were told that we could only order from the brunch menu (even tho it was 7pm). I’m not sure if this is every weekend or just that day, but it’s not listed on their website that weekends are only brunch. - Hookah is served here, which also wasn’t listed on the website. If you are sensitive to or don’t like hookah smoke, you probably won’t enjoy here. Overall I did have a good time. I only wish I could have ordered off the dinner menu.

    The place itself is very nice! The food was ok. The Mac and cheese(lobster) was terrible!! The fried chicken was the best thing we ordered. The oxtail empanadas were ok but they had bones and too much fat in them!! Also, they were smaller than i imagined. The rum punch was great! The service was ok. They didn’t bring two of my orders out. And one order they ran out of. Also, the steak and eggs were terrible!!

    This review in no way reflects our server as he was amazing he actually deserves way more . Anyway why would you have ONE server doing a whole section plus tables down stairs ? This one guy was doing at least 10 tables & kept having to apologize when it was not his fault . The food was GREAT came out super fast , our drinks on the other hand ? They were promoting shots on their IG just for us to get there and get told it was only for Valentine’s Day which made no sense because it was posted in April . The drinks were water down . It took another 20 minutes to get our bill after asking for it 3 times . We could’ve walked out but did want our server to get in trouble . I’m not a big hookah person but I do not mind it, but it was as if getting hookah out was more important then people being served . The restaurant is big enough to offer seating with hookah & seating at least away from it you trying to eat & blueberry smoke is blowing in your face . We came from NJ & we’re very disappointed & probably won’t be back . I hope they get it together because they genuinely have the potential but stop focusing on what other places on IG do & focus on making the people who come in happy & support your hard working server .

    I came here for brunch with my ladies for pre-mothers day. The decor is picture worthy , there are a lot of instagramable shots. The Saturday brunch menu was an array of great choices. The food was very good, especially loved the oxtail mac on the brunch menu. We ordered the frozen mango margarita pitcher, Wasn't sold on it. It was more mango , than margarita. I would stick to regular drinks next time. The drinks are not included in brunch , nor is there an unlimited option. I would recommend them adding this to the menu ( unlimited mimosas ,or sangria for 60-90 minutes.) BABES BRUNCH FOR BOOZE! ..but If you are looking for a cute brunch vibe , I would recommend this spot . It offers good food ,a dj , & reasonably priced hookah...

    I ordered oxtail empanadas and it was NO oxtail i it just fat inside. I told the server about it & she was not the friendliest or helpful! I showed her and she said they not taking it off your bill. Didn't offer anything just was rude. I feel like to very 3 mini Empanadas that weren't edible for $20 wasnt acceptable im paying for fried tortilla at this point.

    Portions are wayy too small. The entrees are more like appetizers. Definitely a lunge and not a restaurant. It took like 45 minutes just to get food. We had to ask for water and it wasn’t brought out automatically. We got plastic utensils as if we were taking the food to go. The drinks were in a small plastic cup. Service was super slow but we’re very nice.

    I actually didn’t even get to dine here. I got there at my reservation and the place was packed and noisy. My biggest problem is they have a 10 min grace period for your reservation but people have a 90 min grace period to stay. So my party of 5 was waiting for 45 mins! Before we decided to go somewhere else. There was too much going on idk if I’d try to go again. Why I had to give the hostess 5 mins to come back to me to tell me how long I had to wait?     Love this place. The food is absolutely amazing. I had (my regular at this point) chicken and churro waffles. The food usually comes out of the kitchen pretty quickly, but today the food took a bit longer than I was used to, despite the restaurant not being packed at all. The server wasn't very attentive. We asked for water refills in the middle of our meal, and by the time she came back with the water, we were already ready for the check and boxes, negating the need for the water anymore. Regardless of that, the food is definitely worth the trip.

    First things first, I went on Cinco de Mayo so it was very packed, I had a reservation for 9:15 i didn’t arrive until 9:30, but I was still able to get seated, now the wait time was about 20 minutes, which was understandable considering of the capacity in the restaurant, but still if I made a reservation I should expect to get seated at that time right? besides that food 10, ambiance 10 it’s so cute in there.
