We enjoyed the food more than the atmosphere. The chicken was excellent — made us forget our disappointment over there being no more duck! The small plates got a little annoying; chicken leg hung off the edge. Maybe go to larger plates for the mains?

Portion size for a tasting menu was extremely small and skimpy. Dishes were fantastic but left very hungry still and wanting more food. Tasting menus shouldn’t leave you hungry

The meal was spectacular. The staff worked well with each other and Harrison (our server), expressed thorough knowledge of the menu and wine pairings. The tasting menu offered sensational bite after bite. We tasted the passion and creativity of the chef and enjoyed heartfelt conversation between a well spaced, five course offering.

Tasting menu was really enjoyable (normally we order a la carte here, so this was a first time trying tasting). Wagyu upgrade was decidedly not worth it, but its fine to have tried it just so we know. If duck presse is available go for that!

Took my wife here for her birthday. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. We both had the 5 course dinner. Every course was unexpected and delicious. Service was outstanding. Look forward to eating there again!

The meal was outstanding. The pressed duck is a must, but everything was first rate. The Amish chicken was rich and flavorful; the fluke was also outstanding. The sides accompanying the entrees were perfectly executed - lots of citrus and lightness. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Ask fir the round table up front - wish we had been able to sit there.

The duck is unbelievably good. Don’t be put off by the price - it easily will feed four people, as in addition to the roast duck you get a delicious duck tart, cured apples and a small salad, along with plentiful housemade rolls. This is not Peking duck with glazed skin, rather it is roasted and served rare with a delicious sauce prepared tableside. If you are squeamish about the thought of rare duck, think rare/medium steak, very similar in appearance and texture. But they only prepare four ducks a night, so arrive early. I look forward to returning to try the roast chicken. Service is smooth, attentive, efficient. Atmosphere very relaxed - you will be comfortable in your dress jeans. Noise level is high - maybe some acoustics treatment on the ceiling will help.

One of my favorite DC restaurants, and for good reason. Excellent and attentive service, mind-bogglingly delicious food with beautiful presentation, great overall experience. I hope to be back many more times.

Bresca has an unreal 6 course meal that tops anything in D.C. The price value, experience, and taste were all exceptional. Located on busy 14th street, the restaurant somehow transports you away from the bustle into a unique, modern yet cozy small restaurant.

The tables up front were uncomfortably cold even with sweaters on. The food and service were amazing but a restaurant of this caliber and this level of business where the door is constantly opening should include a vestibule or air curtain so it's not freezing up front

I placed a request for food restrictions and was expecting a follow up call or email for restaurant of this tier, but received none. I had to contact the restaurant to inquire about it for confirmation. The response for my request was not what I expected. I understand the substitution available for dietary restrictions but if I’m paying for a prix fixe menu, I prefer not be limited to a vegetarian dish if the original menu item has protein. This is unacceptable. I also requested for the regular menu service so that I can choose items that can accommodate my restrictions because I understand the alternatives to the prix fixe is not of equivalent value and would like to avoid the complicated adjustments chefs have to make. If given the option to order from a regular menu, I wouldn’t have to forfeit my experience. E.g. for protein temperature, I would like medium plus. The server would bring out and tell me medium well. If the server and chef is not aware of what “plus” implies, then let me know so I don’t have to be disappointed when I hear the temperature of my protein is something else. For a Michelin restaurant, the level of service was mediocre, and less of what I usually receive from a Michelin establishment in general. If someone had reach out to follow up on my request, I would’ve been able to plan accordingly to fit my expectations.

Had a belated Valentines dinner with my wife on Sat 15 Feb. We chose this restaurant because of previous good experiences. We had the fixed Valentines Menu without wine pairing. Overall the dishes were great! Well presented, good portions and very tasty. The only dissappointment was the dessert and that is not the first time this happened. Pastry chef needs some guidance. The service was good friendly and efficient. Want to particularly highlight the two bartenders on that night. Very friendly and well organized. They clearly had skills! We will come back in the future to savour the Duck a la Presse. Warmly recommended:)

All excellent...only exception is the small size of the plates that each person receives. And we shared all of the dishes - the four of us - the fluke was served a little too early...we were still finishing the chicken. But as good...no a better restaurnat...than i have visited in a long time...and i have eaten in a great number of restaurants.

We have come to Bresca several times, the first was when they first opened. It has improved every time. This visit, the food was truly excellent and the service was also impeccable. The tasting menu was exquisite, and the wine pairings were thoughtful. We will certainly be coming back.

We came here to see if the advertising's are really correct or if they're just paid partnership. Ambiance was lovely except loudness problem. Dishes don't come less than 20 minutes(even startings) so if you're going rush skip this place. It was very clear that food freshly made with fresh and high quality ingredients. Cocktails were good but not strong and small amount (4-5oz). Am I going to go again? I don't think so.
