We had a miserable experience at Bresca. The food was superb, worthy of the Michelin one star. But the noise made the dining experience a horror show: thumping music and incredibly loud talking (thanks in part to the music). I took my nephew and his wife to dinner and it was impossible to hear anything. Plus we sat for quite some time in the cacophony before anyone came to serve us. Once the service began it was good--to the extent that we could hear the waiter. (At our request, they eventually turned down the music which helped only a little). If you want an enjoyable dining experience, don't go.

We had a wonderful experience with a small group at Bresca. The tasting menu was superb and coupled with seamless service- we will certainly dine at Bresca again.

My wife and I dined at Bresca during a short vacation to DC. Overall, we had a fabulous meal and would come back but do have some notes. We had the tasting menu with two add-ons. Before noting that, let’s start with how amazing the cocktails were, the plating and food was cooked and presented to perfection, a symphony of flavors that was beautiful and delicious. Some highlights were the Caviar with Onion Dip, the Cacio de Pepe, and the Pork Coppa. Each dish was cooked to perfection. While we likely should have done no or only 1 add-on, some of the pacing of the meal was fast for our liking and the entree protein portions were quite large for a tasting that ramps in heaviness. I would have been happy with one less entree or 1/3 of the protein for each entree as well! Overall would definitely recommend and would come back!

The food was very good . There ware a few unexpected glitches. Our cocktails came out after the first course was served although the restaurant did not look that busy. The wait staff who explained the nuances of the dishes did so with a heavy accent that coupled with the noise level mad it hard to understand. While Wagyu beef is known for its taste, it was a little chewy. The dessert was outstanding.

This was an outstanding meal, service, and experience. The staff went above and beyond, had great recommendations and were very knowledgeable. It was a wonderful birthday present for my wife.

The food was good but not exceptional. We had the four-course tasting menu with wine pairing and wasn’t impressed, but it was good enough I suppose. Ok experience overall. The music selection was a bit interesting.
