The food was not good at all. They are trying to be like Bestia but the quality of food & the taste is bad.
Authentic & creative. Can't get a bad dish at Brera. So good.
Excellent video be. Big open space with a view into the kitchen. Best Risotto EVER. The meat is perfection.
The food is great, some of the best in the city. But great Italian isn't too hard to find in LA, and there are other options with as-good food and far better service. I'd recommend one of those.
Server worked with us nicely to get to the theatre on time.
We’ll be back!
Always great. Owners are always around making you feel special
We usually go to factory kitchen but chose Berra this time as we had guests from out of town and wanted a quieter venue. We had been there before and had a good experience The noise level and atmosphere were perfect. While most of the food was good my risotto was desperate for salt. And no one complained but no one raved about the food either. The service was the main irritant if the evening. Bar service was extremely slow we didn’t get our cocktails until just before the first course arrived. Our server was quite brusque and somewhat rude. It felt like an imposition to ask questions. My coffee at the end arrived after the check after an extremely long wait. We had actually given up on it I had ordered decaf and still awake a 3:00 am wondered if it was caffeinated. All in all not a great experience. I dont’t think we’ll be back
Outstanding food, good cocktails, friendly service. Great for date night before hitting the club.
They changed their menu and portions. Really disappointed. I hope they didnt do the same thing to their sister operation Factory Kitchen.
We have been there before and liked it, but this time were disappointed by the food.
This is one of the best, if not the best, Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. The combination of ambience, service, and culinary skills creates a superb dining experience.
The food was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful.
We felt the service from the waiter was un-engaged... like what we might have experienced in a coffee shop. The sommelier was attentive, but we thought the wine list was very obscure and designed to direct one to expensive wines.
Innovative, delicious food combined with attentive service in a pleasant environment. Onsite valet parking.
Went on Saturday night. Seating was done well. Dishes were tasty especially pasta except for the eggplant dish which was undercooked, small portion,
The service was amazing. Our server was helpful and nothing stayed empty.
My only complaint was that I was looking for an amazing dinner and I didn't feel like I got that. I had a seafood tagliatelle that sounded amazing on paper but failed to deliver. The pasta was dry and lacked flavor. The fish was tasty but paired with the dry pasta it wasn't too enjoyable either. I went with several family members. Half the table had great plates and the other half were way below par.
The dessert menu was great. We ordered several small plates that were very good.
We did enjoy our time. But for a bill of over $550, I would hope to anticipate an all around wonderful meal.
Service was outstanding. Everyone was very attentive and helpful. Bartender and drinks were amazing!😄
Truly exceptional service. Food was delicious from start to finish. The risotto lived up to its reputation as a must-try dish, but the bruschetta and grilled octopus appetizers were also stand-outs form the evening's meal. Looking forward to visiting Brera many times
Great pasta in a fun and romantic setting. The place was a bit stuffy but the food was good.
Great Italian food; nice portion size; and best mezcal cocktail
Food was hit or miss. Service is truly terrible. Inattentive and borderline rude. Complained to the management and they told us to try another night that’s not Valentine’s Day...Gnocchi with cheese sauce was delicious I have to say and the highlight of the meal. But not enough to warrant another visit all things considered.
Food was average, waiter was unfriendly and didn't know the menu
Good ambiance, food was today.
Food and service was absolutely fantastic, however it felt crowded and was loud. Although being Valentine's Day might explain why it was loud and crowded.
Great ambiance, Staff, Place to take a Date, Varied Entrees
Don’t come here when its cold, no heat
We were there to celebrate multiple occasions including our Anniversary & Valentine’s Day. It was my first time there and my Girlfriend’s favorite lunch spot. The restaurant was beautifully designed with a modern and rustic look with some original features. The staff & service was excellent. Nikki was very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and well balanced. I’ll definitely be back for dinner soon.
Excellent food and service. The restaurant has very high ceilings so it’s quite loud
Went here on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It was packed but we got a round table towards the back, so it was good. Our server was in charge of the whole area, so she wasn’t as attentive. She even tapped her foot while waiting for our orders and at one point, she took our appetizer plates without asking if we were done (I was but my friend wasn’t). But all that took a backseat because the food was delicious. The beef cheeks were very tender; pork shanks was a good portion and tasty; donuts was yummy! I’ve gone here for lunch many times and the service was excellent. So I’m hoping that the poor service that night was an exception and not the norm.
I was disappointed. Just not one of my favorites here in downtown
Loved the place, and the food was creative and fantatic
Service was attentive; not invasive and the food was superb. Drinks were good but not as outstanding as the food. There was noise, but not to the point where it impeded having a normal level conversation. I live in the Arts District and Brera has become my go to when I want to treat a client or my wife to an excellent dinner with great ambiance.
This is an excellent, high-end restaurant serving innovative and delicious rustic Italian food. The meats are choice cuts and prepared marvelously, and there are fabulous vegetarian and seafood options if meats aren't your thing. The ambiance is soaring ceilings, concrete floors, beams--Arts District flair made gracious and elegant. This is a go-to restaurant for my business dinners downtown.
Bland salads, over cooked and dry fish, flavorless risotto. VERY DISAPPOINTING
Great space; great staff all around. Food wasn't as good as last few times, but that's neither here or there. We shall return.
Food lacked flavor and overpriced. Duck ravioli with truffle was bland and could not even taste the duck. The best food was the dessert semifreddo with nuts and sour cherry.
Excellent food and service!
The food was underwhelming considering the price. We had the pork bruschetta which I thought had too many ingredients and was soggy. The pappardelle with pesto was fantastic. Beef cheeks were very tender and flavorful but my friend did not like the fattiness. I might return but only if in the area for something else. The restaurant is beautiful. $8 valet parking pricey but convenient.
The service was incredibly slow and the food is wayyyy overpriced.
