Diverse menu. Great food and wonderful service. Can’t wait to go back.
Absolutely the best food I think I have ever had. Environment and service at its best!!
The flounder special is to die for!
Took my Uncles there and they said the food and the drinks were as good or better than NYC where they lived for 50 years. As for myself it was a great experience and we even got to chat with the owner.
Can't judge a book by its cover.
Exterior not much to look at--coastal shabby.
But step inside and be prepared for a near perfect dining experience.
Quit dining space. White table cloth of course.
Manageable yet diverse menu, including dessert.
Pleasant and efficient wait staff.
For us, definitely a return venue.
Grouper special was awesome! My husband and I split it. Love that they split the protein and give us adequate sides to go with it. Service was great. Never disappointed at Brent’s
it took over an hour for dinner to be served. Our waitress disappeared from the room after serving the bread and appetizers -no explanation about the delay. She was totally unattentive. Tables that sat down after us were served much sooner.
The food was very good despite the poor service. I had the rack of lamb and asked another waitress for a steak knife. She said that the knife I was using was a steak knife and offered a alternative one which was no sharper. Both knives made it difficult to cut the lamb which was tender and perfectly cooked. Sharp steak knives would be an improvement.
We have been fans of Brent's Bistro since it opened. We will assume that this experience was an anomaly and dine their again.
Been here a few times and enjoyed the food and the people, great little spot.
The duck special was fabulous as well as the filet mignon!
This was our second visit to Brent's. We started with cocktails at the bar and were surprised at the variety of choices available and the bartender was fabulous. I asked for a basil martini and it was among the best I have had - they can be tricky to mix but he knew what he was doing and it was perfection! We moved to our table for dinner and were pleased that the menus were brought right away. The regular menu choices were tempting but the duck special caught my eye, being from LI,NY, I am sometimes hesitant to order duck because too many times it is too rare and not what I prefer. This was cooked so well that I ate the entire breast - served with a cherry reduction that was not too sour or sweet. The sweet potato cake was a clever recipe and was delicious! A lovely wine list is available and not over priced. James the chef, came to the table as we were finishing up and we complimented him on variety and preparation of all the food. Highly recommend this spot for a scrumptious meal and nice atmosphere...you will not be disappointed!
Everything was fine. This is not among the best in a big City but is excellent for Wilmington.
Appetizers of fried green tomatoes and escargot were flavorful and easily shared. The entrees of half rack of lamb and filet mignon were excellent. Would not let us substitute asparagus because it was for daily special only. The third entree of shrimp pasta was good but pasta slightly overcooked. Overall food and prices were good. Wine selection was good and reasonable.
Nice menu choices. Our party of 3 enjoyed each dinner. One seafood, one pork and one vegetarian. Good service.
This was our third visit and have been pleased each time. Would wholeheartedly recommend it.
The first time we went on a Saturday night. Large party came in, seated near us. Too noisy. This time we went on a week night w/ friends. Very enjoyable. Low noise, so conversation was possible. Very good server. Nice menu plus a few specials. Enjoyed the food - fried oysters, salmon. Moderately priced. We will return.
Terrific service and outstanding food. Varied selection on menu.
Really enjoyed Brent’s Bistro!! Food was great. They had many yummy specials in addition to the menu, with a lot of options for our party of 5 to choose from.
Food and service was spectacular. Will definitely be back.
Tried abrents Bistro for the first time upon a friends reccomendation. Did not disappoint. The food was excellent , the staff was great and Brent came to say hello to us. We are very much looking forward to competing back!
Very nice meal in quiet surroundings. Our server Katrina was excellent and very helpful in our meal selections. We would recommend the rack of lamb entree and the pork chop entree which were cooked to perfection.
Always enjoy Brent’s. Great menu, price and service.
Great food, our go to restaurant to entertain friends and celebrate occasions
Shrimp and pasta, super yummy. Very large portion, good for leftovers. Filet medallions with pimento unique and delicious. Be sure to make reservations on the weekends.
The food was very good at a reasonable price. The restaurant was nicely done.
The service was excellent!
We will definitely go back.
Excellent food at a reasonable price! Brent’s is consistently good. His menu is always a good mix of traditional offerings with something a bit different!
I had the veal marsala-- what a treat!
My husband had the Napolean beef-- outstanding-- very tender and cooked just right!
We love this restaurant!
Excellent food and superb service. Can't wait to go back.
Food was tasty & nicely presented. Server was attentive. Nice house Pino Grigio.
Excellent service and delicious appetizers, salads and entrees. Menu has a wonderful selection of items. Can't wait to go back.
Brent’s serves my favorite meal in the wilmington area. Fried green tomatoes, filet w twice baked potatoes, bread with butter, and great dessert if room allows.
Simply outstanding. Three of us had great meal on a Saturday night. I had lamb shank, my wife had fillet and our friend had wahoo. All agreed, excellent. Very reasonable priced wine list. Service was perfect. First visit but not our last for sure.
Food was great, unfortunately service was not. At first I thought our server had too many tables to cover, but upon further glance I saw there was a sufficient amount of wait staff for a full house. It was a Friday evening, so perhaps not the best time to try this place. Server could not answer simple questions about wine and beer offered. She did not place our order correctly which meant my husband had to wait for his dinner. I shared my dinner with him and we were done by the time my husband received his dinner. We ended up taking his dinner home. I would be happy to give restaurant another try as the food was very good. Perhaps not a weekend evening. Overall, I expected more for a dinner tab of $100.
Great food and service. Small and cozy atmosphere. Would definitely go again.
This was our first visit and overall we were very impressed. We dined a little early and the restaurant filled quickly over the following hour reflecting that it has become a popular local spot. We were there for a birthday dinner and so we tried a variety of dishes. We could recommend highly the escargot and ahi tuna appetizers. We all had the lamb
Wellington which was excellent. The dessert for two was large and easily met the needs of our party of four. A terrific meal with great service throughout. Highly recommended
Found this restaurant on Open Table and decided to give it a go after reading some reviews. VERY GLAD we did. Great atmosphere. Fantastic staff. Delicious food. Great portion size. Amazing desserts. Very accommodating with some food allergies and specific requests. Will go back for sure!!!
I have been twice recently and it was delicious. The service was great and prices were reasonable. All around top notch!
Food was outstanding except for the scallops. They were served semi warm. Service was good but slow.
Two of us went here for Sunday brunch. You could make reservations but by 1:15 (they close brunch at 2) when we got there the place was pretty quiet. The server was excellent and the food delicious. The shrimp and grits was very flavorful and because I don't eat sausage they were able to leave it out. Also the shrimp and scallop omelette was also very good. The wine list had a good variety. We ordered a side salad and that size was more then enough for us to split. We were very happy we didn't each order one. The dressings are made in house, highly recommend the balsamic one. The food came out quickly and was very hot. We never felt rushed. Not sure what the noise level would be if the place was full. Definitely would go back to try the dinner menu,
Our dinner was fantastic! Everyone ate all of their portions it was that good!
