Seated in dark corner could not even read menu; vent above blowed cold air above table; Ordered Wagu beef special and server put au jus on top in error.
A delicious Sunday Brunch from a somewhat limited menu. Wonderful live music, pitched at just the right level, complimented the atmosphere and the beautiful view.
Good place for a date, not the best steak in town but a good experience!!
Just an enjoyable, relaxing evening. My 44 Farms filet was exceptional, as were the oysters on the half shell. Our two waiters, Nick and Cameron, were gracious and attentive.
I guess since we didn’t order a bottle of wine our waiter decided we were no longer an important table. Our plates sat in front of us for about 15 min before I had to waive our waiter down to remove them after we finished.
Wonderful food and drinks, table overlooked incredible landscaping with gazebo and waterfalls and attentive service.
Excellent as always
My date was very happy. She didn’t expect me to take her to such a nice place the first date. Food, service, and environment was great. Obviously you have to pay for such quality but it is well worth it.
The food was good overall. My wife and I got the bread pudding for desert and it was too dense and not very flavorful.
We had requested a table outside when we made reservations but when we showed up the hostess took us outside and told us to find a table. The only tables left were outside the covered area and it started to rain right before we sat down.
I’d definitely try it again but the patio may be better for the happy hour.
Great dining experience in every way.
We had a wonderful dinner. We always do when we go to Brenner's on the Bayou. The food is marvelous, the service is attentive, and the setting is beautiful. The souffle for dessert is spectacular. We love Brenner's for special occasions.
We had a great time at Brenner's celebrating our 7 year anniversary. Our waiter was very attentive, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was great, and we had a nice table right by the fireplace inside. The food was excellent from the Filet Mignon and New York Strip to the chocolate Souflee for dessert. We will definitely be back.
The restaurant is gorgeous inside and out. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.
Everything was perfect
Food and service were outstanding. Our waiter, Will, was attentive without being intrusive. His helpers were quick to clear away clutter, and generally helpful. ambiance was generally quiet, and lighting was well done. Only complaint was the air conditioning vent directly over our table which, when running, blew cold air right onto the table and occupants. A minor annoyance, but one that should not exist at these prices.
Delicious and perfect
Food was delicious! Drinks were perfect. Vast place to eat.
I made reservation for wife's birthday on Sunday afternoon. Ambiance is great. Ordered a medium rare strip steak and it came out more rare than medium. Ate it and casually mentioned the rareness to my waiter. Later he came by and said I talked to my manager and we will take are of it. (Not sure what he was going to "take are of it" meant). After dinner I ordered an apple streudel and expected they would have the brownie with a candle for my wife's birthday desert. The waiter came by again and said we will take care of it for you ?? Not sure what.
When I got the bill nothing was taken care of and at the exit talking to the manager he said if a different desert is ordered than the brownie they normally would comp it for the birthday person.
For a $200. bill I would have expected more.
But, I wouild return for a speial ocassion. Great view and overall food was very good.
Celebrating my birthday. Great food, service and live entertainment. His place is one of my favorites. Can’t wait to return.
Service was great! The food was good as well.
Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Bar was so beautiful for predinner drinks. Dining room is warm and cozy feeling. Food is always a treat. Our waiter, Cameron, was so fun. WayWay (sp?) was warm and friendly as she delivered and helped serve our soufflé ! We will be back!
Brenner's used to be a truly outstanding, fine dining restaurant, years ago. Now it has been "Landryfied" and way too commercial. Beyond the obnoxious advertisements and promos for Mr. Fertitta's ridiculous reality show, the kitchen service was so slow that we waited almost 45 min for raw oysters, and an hour plus after that for our main courses. It is outrageously expensive for what you get. Good steaks, but oily limp truffle fries, salty sauteed spinach. Even the communication between teams is poor—one hostess told us to wait at the bar and they would get us when table was ready, then 30 min later when we went to inquire about our reservation, another hostess told us the table was ready whenever we were. Not worth the money at all.
It took our server a good 15 min to greet us, and abouther 15 to take our order. We asked another waiter if we could order with him and he basically said no and that he would go find our waitress even though we tried to get her attention multiple times. The hostess basically just walk us out open the door and tells us to sit wherever we want, and it was our first time so we didn’t know what was a full service section and what wasnt. The steaks were goood but the menues are so broad we didn’t know what sides we ordered. When we read “street corn” we thought it was corn corn, not deepfried bread (which would’ve been nice if it was explained to us). The view was great butcher experience, service and food wasn’t up to par or review standards
Terrific ambiance, great views, fabulous food & great service - what more could you ask for?
Overall experience with the restaurant was good. The sides that evening was the best part for myself.
Didn’t like being sat to close to the kitchen. Every time the kitchen door was opened it was like a spotlight on our table. I suggest a wall separating the door from the dining room.
Great place. Glad to see it back up and running after the hurricane. Enjoyable as usual!
Dinner was fantastic and our waiter Taylor provided outstanding service.
I want to say his name was Justin not sure, but he was a breath of fresh air from normal servers. He was attentive nice and informative about every thing. Wonderful experience.
Our reservation was for 8:30. We weren’t seated until 9:45 after repeated promises from hostesses that we would be seated “next”. Despite introducing myself on my arrival, I was repeatedly asked my name, but was still confused with another party. Only when a member of our party pulled a manager aside did we get seated. Service was extremely slow. Another of my party and I were abruptly brought our entrees while we still had our salads. The server never asked if we were finished with them. The quality of the Red Snapper fish I had was good, but well over salted. The Frank Sinatra / jazzy music was great, but played way too loud.
Excellent, love the atmosphere first time visit, excellent service. Will recommend as I was given recommendation to visit Brenner’s
This was our first time here and was pleasantly surprised at how quaint and romantic it is. The service is wonderful and the food was fabulous. The shrimp and grits were wonderful. Best I've every had.
Amazing experience at Brenner's... My sister and I truly enjoy the food and the service.
Absolutely amazing. New favorite spot in Houston. Highly recommend.
We stopped by for brunch and loved it! The food is delicious, the drinks are tasty and desserts very yummy! Definitely a must to stop by at least once
Despite the fact that We had a reservation, we had to wait 45mn to have our table and they did not even offer to cover 1 drink while waiting.
The food was good but our 1st choice was not available a Saturday night... anyway, it was really too expensive.
We will come back for the drinks on the patio outside probably not for diner.
Retuned customer with lots of expectation because this time I celebrate 3 bday with friends, some of them are from San Diego. However, we were very disappointed. We didn't have the wow factor for the food or services. The steak wasn't cooked as what I order and all the food were salty, no one refilled water until we asked.
To me, I do not want to dine here for next time or recommend this restaurant to friends.
This time my review is not so positive. Reason being that we were seated upstairs where it was freezing cold. We asked the waiter several times if it would be possible to adjust temp. Other guest were freezing too not just us. Nothing was done about temp. It really had a negative influence on our experience.
Food is nice, restaurant in beautiful setting. That is why I would recommend restaurant to a friend but ... bring an extra sweater .. it is too cold!
Just what I wanted. A quiet evening with the family paired with a nice view of the Bayou. Food was spectacular. Not one bad dish. Service was great. Our waiter DJ was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend
