Our service people were superb. Food was prepared perfectly. We love Brenners!
Just a great experience. Arrived early and enjoyed the outdoor deck in back; a trio playing soft rock. The dining experience was excellent - unique ambiance, great food and service! Great place for a special occasion. Oh, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped!
Beautiful view. Great service!
girlfriend and i drove an hour for prom dinner. was not disappointed. the food was quite excellent and i would highly recommend anyone to come here if they had the money to afford it. worth the hour drive, and the food left a lasting impression on me that i’ll never forget.
i ate the shrimp & grits with a creamed spinach dish as a side. easily the best food i have ever eaten. part of me wishes i could time travel so i could eat the food again.
the venue was quite pretty too, both inside and outside. it felt rather small, but that added more value to it in my eyes. it felt more intimate and in turn made the experience that much more pleasant. the artwork was pretty, and the chandelier in the front was pretty as well.
Great food, wonderful escape from louder restaurants. Perfect service
Moved to outside - bad service. Moved back inside - great service.
Upscale venue with high quality food and service. Server was a bit persistant with the upsale bur I understand it.
Very romantic setting very unique to Houston
This is a great restaurant to go to has very nice landscaping on hills of the bayou and many decks to have a cocktail or wine outside. In good weather you can even dine outside!
Really great service. We had a dietary restriction (Gluten Free)and the staff was very attentive about it. Was really impressed with their attention, knowledge and service. Thank you.
Great atmosphere! Excellent restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. Food and staff are outstanding.
Everything at this restaurant was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend Brenner's on the bayou.
Drinks not very good, service was very slow even though not a busy time.
My first time there and I was very impressed with all aspects of the restaurant. Beautiful ambiance on the bayou and food, service to match!
Outstanding staff from the desk check-in, to the general manager, waiter.....everything!! Definitely made our special occasion even better.
My family and I were celebrating my birthday. Despite the restaurant being nearly completely empty, the hostess placed us right next to the kitchen where there was a ton of noise, traffic and a direct draft from the kitchen refrigerator. Both appetizers (fried burrata and brisket tacos) were cold and bland. We ordered a bottle of wine that came out 2 minutes after the food was served which was awkward timing (had to pause eating to taste it). Side of asparagus was cold and under cooked. Dessert was a mediocre vanilla ice cream with a luke warm brownie. Aside from the steak, the food was nothing worthy of note. I feel the need to be pointed about the bad because the sticker price on this experience was incredibly high and felt wholly unjustified. I never write food / restaurant reviews, but this place needs to make a much more intentional effort to have better service and food for such an absurdly expensive meal. I have had much better fine dining experiences in the Houston area for much more reasonable prices. Other than that, the steak and wine were excellent.
My new favorite brunch spot in Houston - the off the beaten path vibe, tasteful live music, and AMAZING food (get the chilaquiles!) are TOP notch. We will be back again, and again, and again.
Great steakhouse. Beautiful ambiance. The food and drinks were amazing
Everything was fantastic! Only complaint would be that we asked for a side that we had only taken a few bites of to be boxed up, but it never came back to the table. I would definitely come back for my special occasions though!
I was a little disappointed on the very little bread we had gotten at the beginning of the meal. The lettuce did not seem fresh, and our food took a long while. When it came out it was served rare even though we ordered medium rare. When brought back, it was brought back to perfection. The Godiva Soufflé was phenomenal. I’d go back for the steak and soufflé. Just wish the service was a bit faster. Overall we had a great experience.
Pre-concert dinner on the patio. Couldn’t have asked for more.
great place to enjoy a good meal/drinks with family and friends
Favorite brunch spot in Houston. Great music inside, or sit outside on the patio. Bar is great also.
Rude waitress, extremely expensive, very, very, very small plates, order was wrong, never got some of food, and didn't get birthday cake. Extremely disappointing.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this place to other. The experience was exceptional. Exceed my expectations
Food was great, service was a bit slow but overall great dining experience.
Made a reservation and was seated promptly! We chose to eat outside because of the beautiful weather. Had a wonderful server, Grace, that took excellent care of us. The food was amazing, and I was so glad that they had such decent portion sizes! I definitely recommend coming with an appetite.
The service was excellent as Morgan was very knowledgeable and offered great suggestions from the menu. The food was served in a timely manner. The smoked macaroni was our absolute favorite! Morgan even brought a complimentary dessert while we were waiting for our food to be packaged as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary!
My husband and I celebrated our 8th anniversary here, and the staff made sure to tell us happy anniversary as soon as we checked in for our reservation. Everything about our experience was perfect, and the food was truly incredible. Well done!
Our waitress was amazing! Food was great!
Absolutely the most over priced meal I’ve ever had. I’ve had better fish at long John silvers. The gulf snapper with lump crab cake was the smallest, most dry meal I’ve ever had. Served with four under cooked pieces of cauliflower. All sides were separate, cold, underwhelming.
All in all, for a $250 meal for two people we’ve had better for $40. Go to the bar, it’s beautiful outside.
Overall it was excellent. Steaks were excellent. I’d rate the red snapper as below par in comparison to other highly rated restaurants.
I felt the sides we ordered (potato au gratin were too cheesy) were exceptionally rich but overall good.
Service was great and restaurant was beautiful. Nice celebration for a birthday.
I was on crutches. Perhaps let valet know to automatically instruct on how to most safely and easily access restaurant. But the valet gentlemen were very kind and respectful.
Super Excellent, food was great!
also great service.
max was great!
Excellent Patio and Ambiance. Food was delicious and staff very friendly!
Outstanding place for steaks! Appetizers are fantastic and the decor and ambiance is really great.
You have to try it!
We had my moms 83 rd birthday dinner there. I failed to mention them that she was on a walker, the restaurant is multilevel and I had forgotten that!! They accommodated all 8 of us and even though we were probably a pain. I really appreciated it bc I had elderly people driving in from all over Houston and wanted it perfect -and it was.!
It was ok. The price for the food served is was not worth it. I had the shrimp and grits. 6 jumbo shrimp with a spoonful of grits for $35. The staff was friendly and attentive. Nice ambiance though.
This is a great place for a romantic dinner. The ambiance is subdued, quiet and elegant. The Filet Mignon is outstanding - one of the best steaks in town for sure. The Shrimp Remoulade was short on shrimp and remoulade - 3 boiled shrimp on a bed of greens with a hint of remoulade. The restaurant's website boasts a great view from every table - not so. We were seated in a small room upstairs with no view. The Blue Bar is cool place. We will return, but I will know what to ask for next time - a table in the main dining room and something other than the shrimp remoulade for appetizer.
