I’ve done business, special occasions, and dates and it’s always great.
It was a great place to take someone where we could have a great meal and have a good working lunch conversations. I highly recommend Brenners.
Food, service and atmosphere were exceptional as always!
Fantastic meal and service. I will be returning!
Quality of food and service has gone down dramatically. Sad this Houston staple has deteriorated!
I love this place. The food is always superior as well as the service.
Food was superb and so was the ambiance!
Excellent as always!
Awesome as always. Such a beautiful restaurant and one that you can dress up for. Great staff. Paul the manager is wonderful.
Amazing as always. Steak perfect. And the revisited mashed potatoes are incredible. So damn good.
Took my wife for her Birthday. One of our favorite places. Always consistent. Food is amazing always.
Server was extremely brusque, did not really want to hear what we had to say.
I also witnessed him being extremely rude to a young Afro-American couple, he alienated the guy, and talked down to him during the ordering.
For us he immediately passed our comment about the exotic mushrooms to the manageress.
The exotic mushrooms frankly ruined my wife’s meal, loaded with truffle oil and garlic, made it inedible.
Also on the food, the steak I had was a Manhattan strip which was tasteless and tough. Two of the three steaks were requested medium rare, and were closer to medium well, my wife’s steak was requested medium and this was closer to medium rare.
Prices are pretty ridiculous for what you get, seems to be trading on previous successes, eg a ridiculously priced steak with no sides feels like something from the 80’s.
My summary, overpriced, pretentious and a little rude. Shame since we booked for a special occasion, we won’t be back.
We hadn't been to this iconic steakhouse in years, and decided to go back for a Valentines dinner. The place seemed just like it was years ago. Still excellent food, good service and ambiance. Very nice venue for a special night out. We were pleased that though it is now owned by Landry's, they kept the same ambiance and feel as it had when Ma Brenner owned it, only now with a broader menu selection. Highly recommended... it won't be years before we go back this time.
Date night with my wife. We have been here three previous times. Nothing has changed since the first time regarding polite, friendly and professional service. The menu has a mixture of new items as well as their standard fare. Our waiter offered good suggestions of which we appreciated especially for dessert, pecan pie was excellent.
Brenner's is our "Go-To" restaurant when we have a special occasion to celebrate. It NEVER disappoints !
Thanks for the years of great food and great service.
Food was great but service was not so great! Took 20 mins just to get my drink! Not happy with the service at all, will not go back!
Seems they were confused. Very small portions. Fleming’s , Capital Grill, Goode Co, Papadeaux’s, better value and service for about the same price. Tilman restaurants are high price, small portions, low quality of service but the ambiance is very nice.
We celebrated Valentines Day and my wife’s Birthday. Jordan did an exceptional job of making us feel welcome and taking care of us for the evening. The food was some of the best we ever had. Their Au Gratin potatoes are the best we have ever tasted.
The restaurant has a quiet elegance and is perfect for a special occasion or just a fantastic dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food! The salmon was awesome. Get the caramel cheesecake!
Had a great time! Praline Freeze was the best
Tables crowded and in end rooms waiters kept bumping against chair. Caesar salad very plain. Steaks were good, service little slow but acceptable. Potato was cold had to be reordered. After ordering coffee waitress disappeared and desert came with huge delay. Overall good but not extraordinary.
Always excellent food, as usual the main dining room is very noisy but the outdoor area is nice
The restaurant was crazy busy so we get that. But it took way too long once we were seated to get drinks, appetizers, and our main course. Fortunately, this wasn't our first visit or we wouldn't go back. The food is always superb, they were just shorthanded I guess.
Food and service were excellent! We were also seated at a table by the window which made the evening more enjoyable.
The outside garden and water display were very beautiful!
Made an early Valentine’s dinner exceptional.
It's been many years since we last diner at Brenner's Steakhouse, but we will be back soon. Excellent food and great service .
Terrible customer Service and bland steaks. Rude waitstaff and awful parking lot.
Great evening. Service was fantastic. Food is good, menu is a bit odd. Not like it was when it was owned by the Brenners.
Very loud which was ok but the service was seriously slow. We come here quite often and the slow service was not the norm so I’m sure it was because it was so busy.
Excellent as always !! The steaks were perfect. The scallops were huge.
Very nice restaurant- have been there before. At first it was very loud as a man at the next table wanted everyone to hear him but he soon left and we were able to enjoy our 2nd date. My date enjoyed herself and told me so at the table before we left. We will come back in the future!
I have been going to Brenner's for about 50 years, and it's still a treat every time I go. This night, we celebrated 2 birthdays. Brenner's sat us in the quieter back room, provided phenomenal service, offered outstanding menu selections and let us enjoy the evening at our pace (3 hours). We all had filets, but varied our sides considerably (brussel sprouts, mac/cheese, mushrooms, au gratin potatoes). Everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked and the quantities were such that we all needed doggy-bags. True to form and tradition, Brenner's treated both of our birthday ladies to a scrumptious dessert (apple strudel and German chocolate cake). Brenner's has a selection of perhaps 800 to 1000 wines, so the wine list is extensive and I always study it before we go to the restaurant. Now, they place a single page of exceptional wines in all price points in the front of the wine list, and this helped narrow our search considerably. Again, Brenner's is a treat every time I go. It is always a top choice when we're celebrating something significant!
Very mediocre ambiance and food as compared to the ratings and in comparison to other upscale steakhouses such as Steak 48. Appetizers such as lobster bites were just like any other regular food joint. We also ordered lamb lollipops which were over cooked. Very so so food. Entree was 10oz filet mignon and red snapper which were OK (better than appetizer). Had creme
Brûlée for dessert which was OK’ish. It was an average experience overall.
Food and service were great. Noise was horrible. Tables were to many for the space which created a lot of congestion. We will not eat there again.
Have been frequenting this restaurant since 1968 and never had a bad meal. While the German fries are no longer what they used be when Mrs. Brenner prepared them, the quality of the food has always been very good. After Landry's took this restaurant under its wings and updated it, it seems same was well done, the food even improved somewhat but the ambience of a log cabin remained…..
My husband and I were celebrating our birthdays. Our server, Rebecca was friendly and gracious. She explained in detail the menu features. We never felt rushed and allowed us to enjoy our cocktails before ordering dinner. We shared the lobster bites appetizer which was delicious. I have the scallops and my husband had the filet topped with scallops. Both were outstanding and cooked to perfection. We shared a wonderful bottle of multepulciano that was 50% off. Since it was our birthdays we ordered two deserts and had to take one home. Rebecca even managed to give us ice cream to take home! This is our second time and it won’t be our last.
We were seated at a table near to walkway/ door even though there was a nice table in the corner available.
Didn’t make for great impression. Noise level was very loud until earlier tables cleared. Then we could stop yelling at each other.
Service was very good. Food was excellent!!
The valet parking service is not compatible with the restaurant. The food is always great but I will avoid the place because of poor and rude valet service.
As usual, great atmosphere, service and food! The seared goat cheese was ok, lobster bites were amazing for appetizers. Salad, filet with truffle butter was insane. So full, didn’t have dessert. One of our top 3 in Houston, always!
