Six of us had a delightful lunch with thoughtful attentive service. Food presentation was a great part of the dining ambiance. We were meeting for a monthly book group selection gathering and all appreciated the quiet atmosphere as we discussed our choices.

Everything was great, but a bit pricey
Loved the atmosphere and the food. Katrina was our server and she was on the ball, nice, and knowledgeable. There are a lot of great, reasonably priced restaurants in Richmond, so I am always a bit wary of new places. I am pleased to say that our meal here was worth every dime and the quality and taste was light years better than other "nice restaurants" in the area. If you are a foodie, rest assured that you will not be disappointed!
Absolutely fantastic food and top-notch service.
Brenner Pass has a chic, industrial atmosphere with an eclectic mix of cuisine and craft cocktails. My first visit there was better than my last. Recently, we were a group of four and dinner from start to finish took over three hours. We were too tired of sitting there to have dessert or after diner drinks. I've had a good cocktail there before, but this time it was undrinkable - as per everyone who tasted it at my table. The beer was apparently good and the wine was good. Overall, our food was disappointing. While the cheese tray was interesting, our main courses were way too large and unappealing. The $40.00 steak au poivre was a big disappointment. Way too large, too fatty and too saucy. The potato mound that came with it was enormous. It was not a delicate dish as one would expect in a restaurant of this caliber. And, the steak by no ones assessment was worth the $40.00 price tag. We also had the mushroom polenta, which was fine but also a heap and just too much. There are many sides and small plates to choose from but if you are also getting a entre, be aware that it's a ton of food. We made the mistake of ordering a few small plates along with our dinner. The mussels were fine and the fried fava beans were fine, but not terrific. It's a goal to leave a restaurant feeling like it was a good meal and a good time. We felt hostage to the very long dinning time and did not love our food as we had hoped.
The fondue burger was a shining star. It is the KING of all burgers. Absolutely delicious and our server Cindy was phenomenal!

Brenner Pass is of the best restaurants in Richmond. We love the ambient, the food is amazing, the service is very friendly and professional.

Ridiculously small portions. The "large" plate pasta dish (special) was tiny. Sitting in the bottom of a large plate was enough for a couple of mouthfuls. The small plate little neck clams were very good, especially the broth but again a very small portion and they charged me $8 for a hunk of bread to sop up the broth. The small plate fried oysters were excellent and a reasonable portion for the small plate. The 3 ounces of cheese we got as an appetizer was very good at $5.00 an ounce. Service was not even average. Our server for the most part, ignored us. For all of those reasons we would not recommend Brenner Pass.
It was my wife’s birthday. Overall it was a great evening. Amazing customer service. Wonderful fondue. The flavor profile was on point. I had the duck and it was perfectly executed.
We enjoyed our early dinner. The food was different and great. I had oysters and my wife enjoyed a steak.

We went late! Love the fact they are open at ten o’clock at night. The waitress was amazing! Loved the food, drinks, dessert. This was our fourth time and we liked as much as the first!
I was there celebrating my boyfriends birthday and at the end they brought out complimentary candies for him.
My duck dish was great! I wish there was a fondue option for one as my date did not want to get the fondue. The fondue frites were recommended as an alternative but I found them to be average. Dessert was also great.

The service was exceptional. My drink the Very Cosmopolitan Mary was fabulous. The charcuterie was outstanding, as was the creative lemon dessert. The entree, trout, was good, but not memorable. It think it will be a great go to place for drinks, charcuterie and dessert, if you want a light dinner in a fun spot.
We enjoyed a variety of dishes including the risotto, brussels sprouts, and duck terrine. All were very tasty, and the service was excellent. The server recommended a delicious bottle of dry Riesling to go with our meal. We were very pleased and will return.

Should have been better for the price. The bar was amazing and the ambiance was great. Unfortunately, the food and service fell short.
I needed to look up several things on the menu but was pleasantly surprised when everything came out 10 times better then what I expected.
I love the ambiance, especially as the sun goes down. Our server was great. The espresso creme brulee was perfection, one of the best I've ever had. The fondue was a little too authentic for my taste. I would have preferred a few different dipping options (raw cauliflower). Next time I'd definitely like to try the charcuterie. The brussel sprouts side was wonderful. We came because of the name (we biked over the Brenner Pass last spring so it has a nostalgia for us), but we'll definitely be back for more!
Wow! Super impressed. After years of eating in amazing places in Brooklyn and Manhattan just can’t rave enough about the awesome food we had. Brussel sprouts were delicious, the pork just fell off the bone and the onion appetizer was just perfect. Can’t wait to come back to Richmond.

Delicious and great service
The food and service were amazing. The bartender recommended the fondue burger by saying that “she wakes up thinking about”...true! We haven’t stopped thinking about it since we left the restaurant! The tagliatelle was also amazing - simple but so flavorful. Parking was easy and the decor was beautiful. We made a reservation for the bar - it was nice but definitely lacking in space. The party next to us was very much into our space, pushing us into the area where the wait staff pick up drink orders from the bar. We’ll definitely be back but I think we’ll hold out for a table next time.

Came for an anniversary dinner and received lovely special treatment that really made our night. Our whole meal was delicious. We sampled excellent cheese based on very knowledgeable recommendations from our server. Onion tart was special. Brussel sprouts were outstanding. Cocktail selections are super creative and did not disappoint. It's worth saving room for desert too!
