We travel to Louisville quite often and have eaten in many restaurants in town. Very disappointing. The food was average...but not bad. Overpriced and we were particularly annoyed when we asked for some celery sticks to go along with a dip we ordered, they wanted to charge $4. In addition we asked for wedge salads to be cut in half in the kitchen and they wouldn’t accommodate. Would not go back there are so many great options in Louisville and this one doesn’t qualify for a second visit.
What wonderful service! Ramone was the perfect server- the beignets are a must! Wonderful wine selection and wonderful entrees! A must if you are in Louisville!
Everything was great. I discovered new favorite bourbon. The KC strip was excellent The mashed potatoes were wonderful. The Chilean sea bass was out of this world. I’m more turf than surf but I actually liked my wife’s sea bass even more than my steak. It was the best I’ve eaten anywhere.
Our server was fantastic.
We were celebrating our anniversary. Jason was our server Everything was phenomenal. This was our first time, and he took the time to go in detail and highlight some of the items on the menu that may not have been common knowledge. Even printed off the menu with our name and happy anniversary at the top. My only regret is that it took us so long to try it. Couldn’t recommend it more.
Pricey for what you get. Drinks were way over priced versus the Hilton across the street and food prices there much better both bar and restaurant.
It was probably the best meal I have ever had. Perfect for a business dinner or date. Amazing service and food. Priced on the higher end but the food is worth it. Would recommend them to everyone. If I’m ever back in Louisville I will definitely eat here again.
Shrimp and grits delicious.
Corn muffins, delectable
Excellent food and more than attentive service. A couple minor miscues but overall, a wonderful evening.
Very nice restaurant, I was very happy with menu selection, quality of food and service, prices on drinks were a little north of what I expected but was able to find an affordable bottle of wine. Service was exceptional only hiccup was showing up at selected time and not having a table ready, simple solution as there was room at the bar and we enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting
OVERPRICED. Requested in our reservation not to be seated next to the kitchen nor next to the front door, so we were seated next to the cash register near the bar where servers were picking up patrons drinks. There are many other restaurant options in the area.
Had reservations and table was waiting when I arrived, food and service was great just a little pricy.
The server was marvelous, engaging and knowledgeable. The food was extraordinary. This was a rare find compared to other restaurants in downtown Louisville.
Jannet did a fantastic job. Great food. Exceed expectations.
All appetizer and entree selections were excellent, perhaps the best seafood we've had on recent memory. Not the most upscale of settings and the server was slow and not particularly attentive. Fairly expensive, but a must try. The oysters and king crab in a jar appetizers phenomenal as well as the fresh fish.
So many great options it was hard to narrow down, but everything was outstanding. I recommend the "crab in a jar" appetizer.
I also felt that the service provided by our waiter was second to none.
Cocktails were great. The featured catch was prepared perfectly. Our server was very attentive and fun. Overall good vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner.
Great service with attention toevery detail. Impeccable food. A wonderful dining experience.
Great service and outstanding food
Great atmosphere good food! Nice location. A must place to visit.
At first we at here because of confidence, attached to our hotel. Without a doubt the best shrimp and grits ever. Also the Old Fashioned drink was one of the best. We enjoyed it so much we ate there again the next evening.
We look forward for our yearly visit from South Carolina. Nothing like the crab appetizer. Just amazing.
Food was excellent, but Lane tried to up sell is on everything ! I ordered a regular Old Fashion, but he almost insisted I had to get the House special one. Okay, and it was pretty good. But for $37 I could have had two with change left over. Otherwise great place.
Nice meal before a sporting event. Seated quickly, service was good, food was great. Zero complaints
Outstanding!! We will be back!
Was in town for the NCAA tournament and enjoyed our dinner at Catch 23.
The whole experience from the custom Old Fashioned made at our table to the delicious menu was enjoyable. The chef's imaginative grouper presentation was delicious.
Very good food and service. Open Table needs to re-price this restaurant from $30 and under to $30-$50.
Wow! First stay in downtown Louisville... and did we make a great choice! BIG selection menu! Beef and seafood to fit anyone's taste. Plus, the wine, whiskey, and bourbon choices you would expect in Louisville. Pricey... but worth every penny!
I would highly recommend this restaurant. This was my first time there. I brought the owner of my company he loved I loved it. I will definitely be back.
Everything was great. The food, the service was good, the
Great food, great service!
Great seafood tower and corn bread
We made a reservation for a small informal family event. We were greated promptly and very friendly. We were seated promptly and the waiter was both friendly and professional.
The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list. The food was served as it should have been and our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. Overall experience was great. Only drawback is due to the layout of the restaurant, the noise level is a little higher than one would like to be making conversation a little trying. Otherwise, great place!
Really great food. Wonderful service, beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend.
Very tasty but pricey!
Fantastic experience. Love the atmosphere! Our server (Jason) was amazing. He explained the menu thoroughly and answered all of our questions. We never had to ask for anything because he anticipated our every need and ensured we our dining experience was top shelf. We started with perfectly plump shrimp cocktail, complete with dry ice for effect. I had the strip steak perfectly cooked Pittsburgh style, which is not easy to find in Louisville. I also had the king crab legs--steamed perfectly and pre-cracked for easy handling. My date had a beautiful filet which she said melted in her mouth. We shared lobster mac and cheese and a basket of fries. Too much food for us to finish but Jason of course wrapped it up for us to take the leftovers home. The prices were a little more than we typically like to pay but we will definitely be back!
Love this spot. Never disappointed. Every time I’m in town, this HAS to be one of my stops.
Jason is an excellent server. The food is fantastic and the ambiance is enchanting.
Great experience. Waiter, Jason, was very knowledgeable about menu and made great recommendations for drinks, dinner and dessert.
Brittaney was our bartender and also our server, and she was outstanding. I travel constantly for work, and have become quite particular when rating restaurants and restaurant service, and Catch 23 is truly a gem. If you’re in Louisville you MUST try this restaurant.
This was our first visit and we are looking forward to our visiting sometime soon.
