My first time eating at Breakneck Tavern. From start to finish, excellent service, food and atmosphere. I would absolutely be back again! Highly recommend. 👍
Not the first time we were here. I love the fact that this place is so large, and you can sit in the bar area which tends to be a little noisier, or you can sit back in the various table areas which tend to be a little quieter. Nice place to bring friends, the guys, or just your family and enjoy.
Well done, as always!
This is not the same place we have been going for the last few years. The taste of every single item ordered has gone down drastically. No flavors, everything is was dry and overcooked. The only good item in the order was Mac n Cheese for my kid.
We dined outside in late afternoon. Our server was attentive but didn’t rush us. Enjoyed our meals. Will definitely return.
Smaller brunch menu, slow service. Meals were mediocre.
Service and food were outstanding!
Big menu, lots of choices. The service was excellent. Every employee was pleasant. The food was tasty and I love the ambience! We will definitely be eating here often.
Always great food and menu with wonderful cocktail offerings. Obviously, short of waitstaff.
Always a good time…a favorite!
Very disappointed with the food. We had an appetizer of wings and the thicker wings were under cooked. Then when our entrees arrived... are medium well burger was very rare. Two orders of the sea scallops were also undercooked (cold on the inside and gummy) not once but two times before they came back cooked properly. I could not even tell them that my crabcakes were still gooey in the center I just had them wrapped up to take home so I can microwave them tomorrow for lunch. What a disaster 4 out of 5 dinners under cooked. And you would think they would comp something on our $200 check. Nope!!! I felt bad for our waitress she was soo embarrased.
My first visit to the Breakneck Tavern was delightful. The food was excellent and the service was superb.
Always get a good meal and service when at Breakneck. They have an awesome beet salad!!
Great good and service!
Very enjoyable evening!
Excellent cocktails and service. Delicious food with great menu options.
Nicole took care of us, and it was an awesome lunch!
Delicious food, sitting on the patio is lovely!
Great food and the service remains excellent. Very interesting menu from great steaks to scallops, chicken, and rack of lamb. Our favorite place to dine out.
Breakneck never disappoints. Food is great, and love the beer list too!
Risotto was way under cooked, and bland, My friend had to send back her lamb chops to further cook them from the rare stage to the pink stage she ask for when ordering.
We were seated immediately in a nice quite corner In the patios.the staff and especially Chris were very friendly and attentive. Brunch was delicious. Would highly recommend this place.
We always love getting takeout from Breakneck and spent our evening there last night in person - great food and great atmosphere!
Didn’t have any of the beers we ordered. Then when we finally ordered something they had it took FOREVER. Food came out before drinks which is on of biggest pet peeves. The waiter said “the bartender just didn’t want to make drinks” Whaaaat!?! Food was fine but pricey for what it was. Just disappointing overall. And second experience like this in a row. Won’t be back….too many other good options right down the road like Springfield or Luciano’s.
Very attentive waitress, good food and drink selection. Plus great dessert.
Pleasant experience; good food; better service. Very enjoyable!
Fabulous food! Always great!
We both had seafood related items.
Our appetizer selection was crab dip. It was good, pita chips were great, price reasonable, quantity plenty.
One main course was the crab cake sandwich with a side of fries. Sandwich was just OK, too much filling not enough crabmeat. Fries were great. Price was reasonable, quantity plenty.
Other main course was the grilled jumbo scallops with side of green beans and orzo. Scallops were great, sides very good. Price was a little high, quantity plenty.
Service overall was great, immediate seating with open table reservation, waitress was friendly and a nice person with proper timing and timely refills.
Would return and recommend.
It was great! We loved all of our food, especially the roasted brussels sprouts that the server suggested, and we had a really fun time.
Lauren was an excellent server and the whole dining experience was wonderful!
I found a piece of plastic in our crab dip! Nothing was done to fix the situation. Ordered a mojito and it had no mint. Fried fish was tasteless and overcooked and couldn't be eaten. Not impressed. Won't be back. Especially considering what we spent for the meal.
Excellent meal and the server was very nice. Chocolate silk pie was really good!
The service was very good. The server answered questions and checked in at our table the right amount of times. Food was good, but the french fries on our orders were overdone almost burnt tasting. We should have asked for new ones. We had a party of six and I liked the booth they sat us at, because we were all able to engage one another in conversation. I am glad we made our Open Table reservation because being a Friday night, it was busy and we had a larger group. Our seating was on time.
Busy Friday night, a bit slow service, but friendly and attentive.
Potentially the worst waiter I’ve ever had, Alex. Alex ignored our table for the vast majority of the evening. We had to flag him down to take our drink orders, food orders, refill our waters, and reorder our drinks. He looked directly at our table each time and ignored us so that we’d have to keep trying to get his attention. One of the drinks was made incorrectly by mistake and he told us it “was fine. I rang it in correctly” which…doesn’t explain why the drink tasted like it had tequila instead of gin and tasted (nor looked) nothing like the first. The first drink was transparent yellow as it should be, the second was opaque yellow (more similar to a drink made with too much sour mix than a small amount of the lemon juice maybe ?) I had to ask him to come back to the table a second time and explain again for a second time that the $12 top shelf drink was, in fact, not correct after I tried to choke it down after he mansplained the first time that it was correct. I don’t like feeling like I’m a dick for telling you that something is off with my order. I rarely complain at a restaurant but this entire meal was one complaint after the other and the waiter went out of his way to ignore us. If I am asking for a cocktail that’s on the $5 happy hour menu to have top shelf liquor in it and willing to pay $12 instead for that drink, I expect it to taste correct and I also don’t expect to need to argue with the waiter that it isn’t correct. He looked annoyed with our table the vast majority of the evening although he paid almost no attention to us. I have been here multiple times and never had service so poor.
They are doing all they can to provide a great experience. Sadly, sleepy uncle Joe has incentivized America to stay home, so like all small businesses, they are understaffed and doing the best they can. Keep up the great work Breakneck Tavern! Great food, great drinks, friendly service. Eat here.
Was disappointed with food. Felt like we got the leftovers. Our kid got French fries, no doubt it was the bottom of the bag! Shrimp did not taste good at all. Brussels sprouts were tough. Lamb was disappointing too. We were told the chef was on the kitchen too, much have been on break when our food was prepared. To many other places close by for that quality of food at that price. Service was very good!
We ordered scallops, salmon and a Caesar salad to share. The salad could have been colder and crisper. The croutons were a bit tired. And in my best fantasy the forks would have been delivered cold from the freezer. Moving on my four scallops/$33 were large and nicely seasoned and prepared. Loved my corn and bacon risotto. The green beans were nicely charred and flavored. And I loved my Trinity Pinot noir.
Husbands salmon was nicely prepared and flavored with a light citrus sauce. He liked his sides too and his Pinot Noir
Our server Alex was was perfect. He didn’t rush us. Everything was nicely paced.
The ambiance was pub casual.
Excellent service. Food was fresh and delicious.
