Took friends from out of town. There were so many different things on the menu that sounded delish that we had a hard time deciding. Food was great and Denise (our server)was outstanding.
The brisket was very fatty. Should have been cleaned up to mix with Mac and Cheese. Both of us didn’t feel well after eating there.
Excellent food, great for date night but also family friendly. Will be back again very soon
Scallops where excellent. Best black bean burger !
Always looking for a good place to eat while in the Butler area. Found this gem. Menu had a good variety leaning towards southern and Cajun. Party had ny strip and hangar steaks, rack of lamb, a burger, wings, and some shares like fried green tomatoes and brussel sprouts. Everything was cooked to order and quite good. Look forward to returning on a future trip home.
Easy neighborhood lace for a great dinner snd drinks with friends:)
Rarely eat fries unless they are homemade and the homemade Breakneck fries did not disappoint — worth every calorie. Great selection of wine and beer. Wait staff was timely and always asked before whisking away an almost empty plate. We were staying at a hotel 8 miles down the road and were so glad we chose this place over closer options.
We have been to this restaurant several times for dinner and lunch off the menu and always had a good experience. This was the second time we went for a special occasion buffet (father’s day) and both times the food was poorly prepared, dried out and very disappointing especially for the price ($34.50 per person including a beverage). My wife, my daughter and I could not think of one thing on the lengthy buffet table that was even average.
We all agreed it was the worst dining experience any of us could remember, again especially given the price. We won’t be back for one of these buffets. Felt like a rip off.
Always excellent service and delicious food. One of our favorite spots.
Online menu needs to be updated. Many vintage drinks were no longer available.
The food was just fair for the price. Service was mediocre. I told our waitress that it was our first time at the restaurant and her only response was to recite the specials.
Great local restaurant. Food is top notch - I had Rack of Lamb that was delicious and the small salted caramel brownie parfait was the perfect size and hit the spot. Service was excellent. I always feel like they appreciate their customers and want them to come back.
Unexpectedly cool tavern! Flavors were quite good. Lots of hard surfaces, so a little noisy.
Food, environment, service was five stars in all aspects- Service was outstanding!!!
Breakneck tavern is one of our favorite spots. It is perfect for casual bar food or an elegant night out. We went for our anniversary and as usual it did not disappoint!
The food was average at best. They usually have good food but it was a very bad day. The lamb was to well done, the lobster was the size of a shrimp not lobster.
Food was good but service was terrible.
Our server had a large party that was giving him a hard time about service and we were completely forgotten. It wasn’t until I started refilling our water glasses myself from the server station and getting soda refills from the bar directly that a manager stepped in to assist.
No discount offered on the bill and only a courtesy “sorry” on the way out. The dining room was empty besides us and the large party.
The quality of the food can’t overcome bad service or poor management. There may have only been a few groups dining but everyone seemed to be having problems.
We were seated very fast with reservations. Food was delicious. Really enjoyed the hammer cocktail and sangria. The only drawbacks were slow service and very noisy atmosphere. I think it was just our server who seemed a bit off as others seemed quicker. We will definitely go back, especially to try the Sunday brunch.
Food was delicious. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We will be back again soon for date night!
I’ve not been real happy with their menu lately. Why so much kale? Who likes it anyway? I had a filet that was excellent and grilled asparagus but the mashed potatoes were gluey and the wine pour could be a wee bit more.
Outstanding as always.
This was such a needed evening—had no idea what to expect never having been there before, and we left feeling extremely satisfied and impressed. The deck was great for us, as we brought our dog. The wine list was appropriate for the menu. Tuna tartare appetizer comes recommended. I order scallops almost everywhere we go, and this was one of my top five scallop dishes—the most unlikely but incredibly delicious mix of ingredients. This is most certainly going to become one of our best spots. Worth the drive from Allison Park. Thank you!! Tracy was the best! Can’t wait to come back!
Great food this is the first time I had dinner at Breakneck Tavern. I took my Mother on Mothers day. We loved the food it was so good! It's service is also over the top.
We went to Breakneck last minute on Mother's Day. We wanted to go for lunch and did not realize that they had a special brunch that day. At first, I was disappointed as I did not want to eat food that had been sitting in a warming tray. However, that quickly changed when I saw what was offered. Breakfast food of everything you can think of, including fresh made Belgian waffles! There was 'lunch' options of fish, chicken, beef, veggies, potatoes pasta, etc. And finally, a raw option of salmon, shrimp duck etc, salads, fruit and fabulous desserts. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The only bad part was that I ate too much.
Very nice restaurant and the food is excellent. Our server was fantastic. It's a little pricey, but worth it. I wish it was closer to my house.
My wife got the salmon, they forgot her sweet potatoes, I got hanger steak and they forgot the shallots, and chimichurri sauce.
We waited in the extremely dark bar having drinks before dinner. The noise level was super loud. we to take a really late dinner reservation because we had 6 people. Then the girl gave the table up to other people that they said was being cleaned for us So we had to wait longer! My dinner was good but my boyfriends sandwich was dry and not good.
Was very good food crab cake sandwich and seafood chowder. Service was ok. Amibiance to much bar area to many bar long term tenants.
Birthday dinner for a close friend. Our service was great and the food was delicious. It was a bit higher priced than it should have been
NEED RESERVATIONS ON WEEKENDS
Great up and coming restaurant in the area. We eat here at least once a month. The only issue we have is the loudness in the dinning room that comes from the bar. Must be a way to diffuse the sound.
Also, this is just a general request for all restaurants. Change the menu occasionally to keep the frequent flyers interested in coming. The specials are good but menu could be updated occasionally. The food is good so this is not a complaint more of a recommendation.
From appetizer to dessert, it's always delicious. Service is always excellent.
Everything was outstanding and our service was great.
Very busy night but very good service
Overpriced. Our appetizers came out cold, a steak knife was dirty and my vegetables were way undercooked.
I’d go back for drinks because of the atmosphere and extensive whiskey list, but not for food.
Excellent food, outstanding service!
I love Breakneck Tavern. It’s great for a nice night out. Making reservations makes it easy to get right in.
Our server was extremely slow in coming to the table and checking on us.
Other than that it was great!
Our reservation was at 2:00. The food stations were messy and some were practically empty. The beef at the carving station was rare/raw. The dining experience and the staff was okay. It was the food that disappointed me.
Great Easter Brunch
