   Bread and vine in DBQ is such a vibe and we all LOVED it. We went there for a little bridal shower brunch and it was exactly what we expected. Amazing food, great service, friendly staff! Definitely want to try it at night too!

   If you haven’t been there; GO,GO,GO! The place is unlike anywhere else in DBQ. Great cocktails, face to face with the owner twice, and the food was great! Very good service and just a great night out. We will be back for sure. Thanks for a great evening!

   Food and drinks were delicious! Second visit there and it did not disappoint. The only downfall this visit was the service. While she wasn't terrible, she didn't come back enough to refill drinks. We would have ordered more cocktails if she had come back more.

   Bread and Vine is a fun dining venue with a disco light and a DJ playing music! The food and service were quite good. The music was not too loud, so conversation was not difficult at the early dinner hour when we were there. We recommend Bread and Vine!

    Refreshing new atmosphere for Dubuque land. The food was excellent. Portions are large, but the servers plated it for two. Really enjoyed the specialty drinks before dinner. The DJ played eclectic music in the background. Make sure to stick around for an excellent dessert. The owner walks around and makes the guests feel welcome. Have a fun time.

    We had some amazing apps and drinks. But if your server asks how your main course is do not tell them it tasted bland, a combative owner will show up and tell you he ate some off your plate and it tasted fine to him. I thought as a newer establishment they’d want honest feedback. We folded up our dessert menus and left. Ruined our experience and date night. He comped the shrimp even though I insisted he didn’t need to and never asked for any discount off our bill. It’s not about the money. Our experience was ruined by the owner. Take your business elsewhere.

    Our experience at Bread and Vine DBQ was a very expensive disappointment. Overcooked and cold $58 ribeye. Tequila shrimp that was cold so it couldn’t flambé properly. Forgettable cocktails and an ear splitting fire alarm made for an unforgettable experience. I just wish it was a good one.

    We went to celebrate our sons 24th birthday. We really enjoyed the dining experience and our server (Zach) was beyond friendly and accommodating. He took pics of AND with us! Food was delicious and drinks were fabulous. The ambiance and vibe was really cool. Love the DJ spinning house music and the menus on albums. Definitely will return!!!

    A group of 7 had brunch. I believe everyone was pleased with what they ordered. Some were so large they will provide a second meal. The flashing lights are a trigger hazard to people with propensity for migraine headaches or seizures…just FYI

    We had an incredible experience at Bread & Vine Dubuque! I have been a fan of the location in Galena and was looking forward to trying the new dinner concept in the Millwork District. We started off with cocktails while we enjoyed the DJ spinning music. I had the Pink Panther which is prepared table side. For apps we went with the Lobster sliders…delish! For main course, I had the Tequila Shrimp which was flambé at the table. The shrimps were so yummy and it came with a side of mushroom risotto. Nice size portion, I even brought some back home in a to go bag. My date has the Ribeye which was cooked to perfection. We ended the evening with the Chocolate Soufflé which was warm and fluffy served with a side of ice cream. Our server, Anastasia was an absolute doll. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back again soon!

    A wonderful new addition to the Millwork District! We started off with a cocktail at the bar. Our bartender Matt was really helpful. We tried the Dancing Queen which is served in a mini disco ball! They have a DJ spinning cool music which just adds to the vibe. The sound level was moderate enough for us to enjoy conversation. We enjoyed the homemade pasta and the a Tequila Tiger Shrimp which was fired table side. We ended the dinner with the Chocolate Soufflé…I felt like I was back in Paris!

    We went to brunch. The food was absolutely amazing! Blueberry french toast, delicious nutty butter, excellent pear salad, and finally a very good Texas toast with egg ham and sauce over the top. The mango Mimosa was excellent! We will definitely go again. The service was excellent. The ambiance is so different and refreshing for Dubuque. I hope the Dubuque community supports this restaurant.     Had a reservation for 7pm for 7 people. Arrived at 6:55 and was told we could wait until our table was ready. We went up to the bar, grabbed some drinks and after waiting for 15min we got sat. Waited 20min at the table with menus only and finally we got up to ask the hostess for a server. Server arrived, immediately took our order. Second round of drinks took 45min to get. Our appetizer arrived with the food which all arrived an hour and 45min later. One order was completely forgot, the owner came and offered some lobster sliders to my friend waiting for her food. Those were terrible. We asked for our check, waited 25min to receive that, missing dish at this point still had not been received. Lamb was burnt and served on a bread board so when I cut into it the burnt crust was all over myself and the table. The lobster pasta noodles were not fully cooked, and most of the food arrived cold. My cheese board appetizer arrived however missing the bread/crackers. We received the bill and the missing dish was removed. The owner brought the food out, (along with the missing bread for my cheese board) same time he was delivering the check and also brought out 5 to-go boxes and bags. Sir we didn’t ask for the boxes, we left most of our food on our plates because it was less than mediocre. Service was terrible, atmosphere was loud and obnoxious and the food that we were served was worth half the price we paid. I was super bummed as I was looking forward to eating here for weeks. The 7 of us that dined will never be back.

    We enjoyed a great night out at Bread & Vine Dubuque! A totally new dining experience for Dubuque, the ambience, energy, food and service were outstanding. We loved the "night club" feel complete with DJ music and party lighting. The owner stopped by our table not just to say hello and thank us for coming, but to chat about our experience and listen to our feedback. Dinner choices were very tasty - I had the New York Strip, perfectly prepared, and my wife enjoyed the lobster with home made pasta. The warm chocolate souffle with ice cream we shared for dessert was a battle of spoons. A bit pricier than other options in town, but well worth the special night out with unique dining options, attentive service and fun atmosphere. We'll be back - next time to try the Sunday brunch!

    Nightclub ambience. Very cool building and decor. Good service. Music was loud, it was difficult to hold a conversation with my date, had to raise my voice/ lean across the table to be heard over the dance/techno music. Lots of of disco lights, strobes, multicolored laser lights continuously flashing and moving across all surfaces. It was a little distracting when my partner had lights flashing across his face the whole dinner (as did I, I’m sure, it’s not a place for those sensitive to flickering lights). A couple of the female waitstaff/hostess took a 5 minute dance around the restaurant where they held flashlights and gyrated among the tables about midway through our reservation, which seemed planned and contrived, like a Disneyland conception of a rave. Drinks were really good and unusual, some were mixed at table side on a cart with lots of fanfare. Food was just ok, mussel dish was a huge serving and beautifully presented but bland. Lobster pasta had great fresh pasta but little lobster, also needed more seasoning. Diners near us came for dessert only and ordered some type of huge dessert served in a stemmed glass, I don’t think any 2 people could have eaten the whole thing, it looked great. Overall it was an interesting experience to have once. It was too loud to hold a conversation and the food was too expensive to be unexceptional, so we won’t be back for dinner. I may be back next time I’m in the mood for loud techno and a dessert tower.

    We were greeted by a host in a "bondage style" undergarment accompanied with open blazer who offered us our table approximately one foot from the front door. The seating arrangements were cozy, but necessary for the level of music playing. The music was good and there was a live DJ spinning records giving the place a distinct chill vibe. We opted to forgo the seats next to the door (freezing outside) to sit at the bar. I inquired about what type of gin they carried and was given 2 options, one of which I chose. I ordered a Negroni served up (based on the cocktail list I didn't think this would be challenging). The bartender pulled out a binder and delivered a syrupy mess on ice. I am not opposed to paying top dollar for a quality night out however; there are certainly some kinks to work out in training the staff. This is definitely a very different aesthetic then the sister Galena location (amazing food ). We elected to have dinner elsewhere in a more intimate setting. I can not comment on the food. What was coming out of the kitchen looked good though.
