This was a fantastic restaurant; I highly recommend the pastas as they are made at the restaurant. But in addition to the delicious food - everyone in the party loved their entrees and appetizers, when they asked me if this was a special occasion, I did not expect that the would seat us in a semi- private alcove and provide a complimentary desert with a candle. They also put a decorative happy birthday bottle on the table. It was just a nice touch. We didn't have desert there because we continued the celebration back at home. I would definitely recommend and we will go back!

Love this place. It's great for lunch and dinner. I've done business lunches, personal dining, etc. and our company has our holiday party here as well. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is great.

Everything was incredible! My sister and I were visiting New York together and had a great experience and Bread and Tulips. My sister cannot eat gluten or dairy, but still had plenty of options and loved her food (especially the duck). I loved the arancini and scallops! The service was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was beautiful, and the noise level was perfect for conversation. You have to try it!

I was in town for business and Bread & Tulips was recommended by a student of mine- it did not disappoint! We were there during a very quiet Monday evening, our servers were attentive, and the food was very good. I had the "Purple Rain" drink, it was excellent, and the fettuccine carbonara. My boyfriend had the Quattro Formaggi pizza and it was also very good. We'd go back!

This place is truly amazing. My first experience here was with my coworker, and we immediately fell in love with its ambiance. It's so cute and romantic with a tulip on each table - I felt like I was having a date with my coworker! I had few birthday lunches here, and every time we came, they made every single effort to make it memorable. Their service is amazing - the staffs are super friendly, and chefs prepare the meals to your need. They have very good lunch special menus as well - my favorite is (gigantic) salad + (gigantic) pizza for $17.5. I usually can only finish half a pizza; it's that big! All the foods are so authentic and delicious; I tried Mushroom / Quattro Formaggi / Mortadella pizza before, and they were all delicious. All the dessert menus are amazing as well - tiramisu is highly recommended! I can only say good things about this restaurant - ambiance, service, food, price, and location - all are perfect.

I brought my mom in from out of town and was looking for the perfect New York/Italian restaurant for dinner. Bread & Tulips exceeded our expectations—the pasta was phenomenal, the service gracious, and the cocktails superb. It’s an intimate dining experience that I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a comforting meal in the city or for those visiting.

I found Bread and Tulips while looking for a moderately priced Italian Restaurant near the hotel I was staying in for a Bachelorette Party. I could not be more pleased with this choice. The food as absolutely incredible. The service was impeccable and we had such an AMAZING evening. Thank you so very much for making my best friend's night so special. I truly appreciated the little centerpiece they had on the table for us, it was such a nice touch. I have been raving about this place to everyone I speak to since I ate there on Friday night!

Great food, fine service, but to noisy. To many people in a big group. That spoiled it a bit for us. But of course we would come back, next time we visit NY.

My friend suggested Bread & Tulips to take me out for my birthday. She knows I don't like crowded noisy places where one has to shout hold a conversation. When we arrived there was a lively get together going on in the bar area. It calmed down after 30 minutes or so, and it was nothing we couldn't handle.

The ambiance was intimate. They seated us in a lovely booth facing out into the restaurant. We started with an "Arugula salad w/avocado, oranges, gorgonzola cheese, pistachios and prosecco vinaigrette." We then shared a delicious homemade "Fettuccine {Alla Grappa Carbonara}" and a main course of a perfectly Grilled Salmon, served with spinach. The salad was more than enough for two people who love salad. All the portions were generous. The wait staff was very attentive, and genuinely friendly. No attitude here.

We learned that Bread & Tulips, which is tucked underneath the Hotel Giraffe, also serves food in the rooftop bar, and room service in the hotel itself. They have an open pizza oven... the pizzas looked delicious.

I highly recommend Bread and Tulips. It was a perfect birthday.

My son and I had a wonderful meal at Bread and Tulips on our last night in Manhattan. I appreciate that they had a kids menu. The handcrafted cocktails were amazing (I want more of those Rosemary Collinses) and my squid ink pasta with crab was light and delicious. LOVED the crusty bread that came with the meal. We could have a nice, quiet conversation. I will recommend it to everyone!

The restaurant is pretty, located in a basement space - Best thing about the restaurant were the drinks - they were excellent. The bartender was friendly. The appetizers were very good (we had the meatballs, the artichokes and a pizza). Dinner items were good enough. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it weren't so hot and stuffy in there.

Food was good as always. Waitress was a bit rushy and little pushy. Keep trying to take our plates away mid-bite and asked us if we want another glass of wine when the glasses we had were clearly more than half full. This happened a few times. Was annoying.

Delicious! I have passed this place a million times and finally got to try it. From the bread they bring out while you wait, to the salads, to the pizzas and the delicious paninis- everything was so fresh and delicious. Must try! The staff is also very attentive and nice!

The birthday girl picked this restaurant based on the menu and because it was in the middle for most of us. The staff was very accommodating when we had to change the number of people from 8 to 5, and also when we called to stay that we were running late. The cocktails were strong enough, the appetizers were delicious and easily shared, and some of the entrees were better than others. What we were very impressed with was the service! Since I left a reservation comment that we were celebrating a birthday, the staff left little notes that said "Happy Birthday" on our table and behind us. How cute! We also liked the little dining nook we were in, it was semi-private so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. While we weren't blown away by the food, we would recommend this place if you are in the area especially if you're with a group to celebrate a birthday.

The place is very nice, very cozy. The food was very good too. Both pasta and pizza were very well prepared and tasty. Service was exceptional. We've been taken care of perfectly throughout the night, timing the interventions precisely. After the dinner I was quite happy I had found this place, and I would definitely go back and recommend.

We added a comment to the reservation that we were celebrating 2 (14th) birthdays and I even reminded the hostess and they ignored our request. We waited to see if the waitress was going to wish them happy birthday or something and she just brought the check.

I've been to Bread & Tulips a couple of times now, and it's great. The ambiance is lovely and they're able to handle larger groups, but it's not too loud or overwhelming--it's a good place for a date, too. They were happy to accommodate my request to have the pasta carbonara without meat, and it--and everything else we ordered--was delicious. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The desserts were delicious, as well. Highly recommend.
