Brazil Grill

This is by far the worst experience I’ve had dining at Brazil Grill. I have been several times and this time has ruined it for me now. Not sure I’ll ever go back. The service was atrocious, they were out of about half of the items from the salad bar and we made several requests for meat and it’s as if they just wanted to ignore us and give us a bad experience on purpose.
Would request additional drinks and have to remind the servers many times before they would bring them. We gave up on the meat requests, paid and left.
Disgusting!

I tend to love Brazil Steakhouse but this was utterly the worst experience I have ever had for fine dining. I know things are just now opening back up but good god was it tragic.

Our reservation was 6:30, we seat down and it took the servers 35 minutes for us to get water and plates to get.

The meal was decent overall, I can see the servers struggling with 2 only waiting 40-50 so people. But I feel like that’s a management issue. Meanwhile, the hostess literally did absolutely nothing to assist traffic flow.

During our meal, we requested water 3-4 separate times, this took about an hour just to get water so we could continue our meal. By this point, I was about to ask for a refund because my infant daughter was super dehydrated.

At the end of our service, it took 45 minutes to get a check to pay out tab. I don’t think this place will last much longer.


I wasn’t the only person having this type of experience. You can see and feel the energy from other tables also.

Brazil Grill is our family's favourite restaurant. The meat is flavourful and we even look forward to the salad bar. The ownership and staff are courteous and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

The food was OK, some was better than others, overall very salty, and very poor service as the waiter RARELY came around and when he did, you can tell he didnt want to be there.

We asked for more drinks, they never came, we asked for more side dishes, they never came!!

Probably wont return

So glad to be back, a long awaited return to one of our favorite restaurants. All the meat you can eat, so many different flavors, great sides.

It was closed at the time I had my reservation at!

We decided to come here before restaurants shut down in Portland for a month. It was really the only restaurant we wanted to go to before the shutdown because they don't do takeout, and the meat, especially the beef, is moist, tender and nicely seasoned. The sides are okay to good, but not outstanding, but we go here for the grilled meat, which is what you think a Brazilian steakhouse excels at. It's a little spendy but not as spendy as their competitor in downtown Portland. We will be back here as soon as they're able to open up again.

Food was great. So many choices. If you love meat this is the place.

We had such a great first time experience at Brazil Grill. The staff was attentive to our asks and even gave special attention to my brother since we were celebrating his birthday. We will certainly be back!

First time out since covid and it was a great experience, social distances definitely were followed.

Amazing food as usual

I had never been to a Brazilian steakhouse before so I had no idea what to expect. Was very disappointed to find out I couldn’t take home when I hadn’t eaten. As a gastric bypass patient, I can only eat an extremely small amount at a time, so I sampled a little bit of nearly everything that came by, but only ate about 1/10 of it. It’s horrifying to me that my plate of food ended up being thrown away rather than letting me have it. I guess that’s how Brazilian steakhouses work, but I think it sucks.

However, what I was able to eat, which was a few bites of mashed potatoes and one bite of pork, chicken, sausage wrapped bacon, and a few other meats, were excellent. Ultimately I paid $45 for approximately 3-4 ounces of food. 😪

The food and service was great but our server rarely came to us to get our drinks or sides. Other than that it was an amazing experience for a great occasion.

I personally loved going to Brazil grill. When I found out about their Groupon deal I wanted to take my entire family with me. It was a family event to celebrate a job changed for me. The loud noise from other guest was not what bothered me. It was the gaucho. Mainly the supervisor gaucho that was walking around with the meat. I felt limited and when I asked for more I felt judged. I didn't like that feeling and I felt disappointed as I have never felt this way here before. I may change to fogo de chao next time.

Service was excellent, every single one of them were great! But was little disappointed with meat component. Sirloin was the best steak they had... no ribeye, NY or filet at all. Hot appetizers, empanadas and fried polenta was very yummy!

Always one of my top favorites!!! Amazing good and amazing service!

Meats were dry and tasted like low quality. The sides were under cooked.

Despite only one waiter being on shift for the whole restaurant on a Friday night, He was wonderful& and above and beyond attentive. Super friendly, didn’t make us feel rushed at all.
Wonderful food, great service, just wish to see your employees not have to be stretched so thin! We love Brazil Grille, and love to come.

The servers were really good every time we finished with what was on our plate they kept bringing more food

Not only was our dining experience wonderful but I left my bank card there and didn’t notice until the next afternoon. They are trustworthy and honest, returned my card easily and I will be forever grateful.

It had been nearly 6 years since I was there for the very first time.
Even with you not having that marvelous buffet, due to the Covid response,
The selections brought promptly, were wonderful.

Good food, but not great. Waited too long between serving meats and side dishes. Serving were small and mostly over cooked. Best thing was the pineapple. At several times, waited over 20 mins before servers came around to serve meats again. Our party are slim to medium build, even at that, we felt more hungry after we are then before arriving. Cocktails were poured weak, tasted very bland. At one point after waiting too long we just ordered desert, which was way overpriced for what you got.
I had to tell my party, sorry for the disappointment in our dinning experience. I have eaten at several Brazilian steakhouse similar, and this was by far, sub par.
For spending $80 a person for dinner and drinks, they are many other places Portland has to offer.
We felt this restaurant is on a downfall trend, cutting corners on everything, trying to make it thru this pandemic. They should be doing the opposite of they expect to attract new and repeat customers.

Amazing as always! Food, service, excellent!! There is a plexiglass barrier between booths now and the salad bar is no longer self-serve. I’m ok with that.

Do some research on the masks with ventilation. If you’re positive for COVID-19, it can spread through the vent.

Another great meal at Brazil Grill. Tried everything on the menu, including the chicken hearts! (first for me) Will be back soon.

Get here early and have the place to yourself, let the cook or your server know what meat you want.

Delicious food in a unique environment. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is spectacular and their full dinner experience is very reasonably priced.

Over all it was great to be out for dinner. Service excellent but as with dealing with Covid the buffet was closed which I can understand and the servers get you what Everton the tables so it was not bad just different

The evening was lovely, the food delicious and the service excellent.

The filet mignon was amazing. All the meat is amazing. I do wish it had some sort of a better balance to the courses. Yes the salad bar is endless but was not offered it for the first meal. We had to ask for it which a again was not a big and we had never been there and didn't know how anything worked. If we had a better intro to the experience it may of been different but the food definitely makes up for all of it. We had amazing and friendly staff we are definitely going back

I like this restaurant, but the most part of the meat that came to my table was well done and I know that is not what the meat supposed to be and is not what it was in the past. But, overall, it is a good restaurant with a delicious beef stroganoff!

Great food we just had to wait a long time in between servings!
