Brazen Neighborhood Eatery
Brazen Neighborhood Eatery has a number of interesting items on the menu. Owner and Chef, Christopher Sargent, brings you fresh oysters on the half shell, tomato braised meatballs, house-made pastas, and rotating large dishes. Some of the items on the brunch menu include the Brazen burger, Brazen ramen and the Chilaquiles.
This is the second time visiting Brazen - and I am continually blown away by the excellent food and the service. It feels casual, friendly and warm - the servers are always people you want to get to know better because they are so great! The food is superior and, by far, the best value in the Metro area -- plus they have a yummy drink menu. Chris, the proprietor, and his crew are absolutely the best! I cannot recommend this place enough!
Great feel, food was excellent, not a huge menu but everything they did they did well. Great value on both food and wine happy hour 25% off bottles. Johnathan behind bar was over the top friendly. This is our new favorite in the area.
Valentine’s Day dinner
This is one of my go to places for special dinner or brunch. The food is wonderful, the atmosphere is full of energy and the service is amazing.
Some of the best food in town, great atmosphere and outstanding service. Amazing value and always great recommendations.
Lovely! Owner met us and bought us a bottle of wine for it being our engagement anniversary.
Outstanding food, great atmosphere, & friendly knowledgeable staff. Will definitely go back!!
A great neighborhood gem that could be the highlight of your evening our simply be a stop before or after your main event.
The food is fresh, tasty and is prepared right there. The cocktails are not over the top but are carefully prepared and always hit that spot.
Great value, excellent service and leaves you looking forward to your next visit. Love Brazen!!
The food and atmosphere were great, but the service was truly above and beyond. I had to push my reservation back 30 minutes and they were more than accommodating. The wait staff was top notch throughout the meal. Then we wrapped our meal and left only to have the owner chase us down outside the restaurant to offer us some drinks on the house for no particular reason. It was clear they genuinely care about their customers, and they have certainly earned a repeat customer in me.
Excellent all around!! Music a bit too loud...
I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and I'm glad I finally got around to it! It was amazing. We tried 4 different plates and they were all delicious, but the Niman Ranch sliders were outstanding. This is definitely the new favorite neighborhood place!
The food was simply delicious. Each and every dish we ordered was great. Solid wine list, and very friendly and attentive wait staff
Love small plates!
Great neighborhood spot with changing menu. We've been for brunch and now dinner and had great food both times.
Celebrating a birthday and they started us off right with complimentary champagne! The food was delicious; everyone we interacted with was friendly and had spot on recommendations. Loved the small, intimate, but casual vibe. We’ll be back!
Food was very good, but people were packed in so tightly that anyone trying to get by would bump my chair all night. Extremely noisy. Expect to pay at least $50 per person for 2 tapas items and 1 drink.
We shared several fabulous starters-Brussels sprouts, beet salad, fries. Loved them so much, got a second round :) Staff was polite, wine was good. Only issue was our 2 grilled cheese entrees came out way before the other 2 entrees. All was delicious and our friends enjoyed the outing.
Everything was absolutely delicious. A bit on the pricey side but worth the splurge. We shared 6 plates between 3 people and everything was really excellent. The sliders and beet salad were amazing.
Excellent food and service! Found a new place we will return to!
Food was awesome. Crab bisque was wonderful. Service was very good. Really enjoyed. We’ll be back!
One of our favorite go to places for good food great service and friendly staff. We shared the beet salad that was dressed perfectly and the braised meatballs over polenta. Never disappoints.
Great place, great food, great service. It was a lovely evening.
Always friendly staff and fabulous food!
Food was delicious! Staff was friendly and attentive! Could not recommend Brazen enough! Can not wait to go back.
Great vibe, great drinks, dynamite food. Really liked everything about Brazen and will surely return. Even on a busy New Year's Eve they were terrific.
The service at Brazen was impeccable. It felt like my boyfriend and I were the only patrons in the restaurant. And the price was right! Everything was on point and we can't wait to go back to our local neighborhood spot!
Absolutely amazing. Can't believe we never knew this was in the neighborhood!
We dined here in late December right when they opened for dinner. The ambiance was pretty quiet and mellow with a cozy feel. They had the fire pit lit on the patio which was charming but a bit too cold to enjoy. The menu is for sharing so we started off with the beet salad which we all loved. It was dressed perfectly and the beets were cooked just right. The lamb ragu was very tasty with the fresh herbs but a bit heavy on the salt. The meatballs were packed with interesting things (I think pinenuts was one of them) and came in a small skillet with creamy polenta. They definitely satisfied but I think there needed to be a bit more tomato sauce with it. The meatballs don't need to be outshined, just enhanced a bit with extra sauce. The house made ricotta gnocchi was very hearty and satisfying. It had a burst of flavors with it including the oyster mushrooms which we thought went very well with the dish. The panna cotta was very tasty with it's berry sauce on top. The patio was festively lit and the dining room was warm and cozy. Service was swift and efficient.
Out for dinner after a movie with the family. There were six of us. We were placed at a table in the center of the room...traffic with servers and staff navigatin around my daughter and son on either end of the table. This placement was a bit of a distraction. Perhaps the center table would be better for a tabletop of four. The restaurant's draw is small plates, so for six people we had seven plates along with two desserts. The meatballs with polenta were delicious as was the lamb ragu, roasted brussel sprouts were tasty and crisp. Two of my grown children shared the s'mores dish while my husband and I shared the créme bruleé. We definitely plan to go back, but I will ask for a table against the wall if I have a party of more than four. An aside, the room which is set with two bar areas and perhaps a total of six table tops -- was a tad loud making it difficult to carry a conversation beyond across the table. Summer time offers outdoor seating..that's when I'll go back.
We chose The Brazen Neighborhood Eatery because of its location. We were coming in from out of town and not familiar with the local restaurants but what a wonderful find. The food was fantastic and our host gave us his personal attentions even though they were holding a big event there at the same time. The high volume of people made it noisy but that was to be expected considering the situation. We had a great evening and the food couldn't have been better.
Great neighborhood eatery, food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. Great to see the owner so involved with his guests - nice touch! Enjoyed it!
The food is consistently great, service attentive but not overly so, and pricing reasonable. Love this place. Only complaint is that the standard seating can place you kinda cozy with your neighbors. On the patio in the summer it’s not an issue but winter time dining can be snug. Didn’t bother us at all but something I’ve noticed
Amazing hospitality and food from a dedicated team. We saw the lamb ragu being made in the open-ish kitchen and knew we had to have it. It delivered. Get the s’mores for dessert. Everything is homemade except the chocolate. Manager stopped by after dinner to see how everything was and truly cared about the feedback. That’s worth a lot these days. Thanks Brazen!
Very nice brunch menu. The scrambled eggs w/ arugula salad and homemade tater tots (xtra $) were great. Great for brunch. Had only been for dinner before. First time visitors, the entry is behind the building on 38th (sometimes hard to locate).
This a place that really wants very much for you to have a good experience. The owner is hands on. Would recommend.
It’s been a while since we visited Brazen but like the past they never disappoint. The food ( braised meatballs, gnocchi, hanger steak, roasted veggies, clam chowder and bread pudding for desert ) was spot on. The Gnocchi were so light and fluffy. The wine Cab Franc is one of my favorites and priced fair as was the glass of Poggio. Casey was our server and he was very attentive but did not over do it. We love Brazen and won’t wait so long next time to visit. Can’t wait to hear of the details for the upcoming wine dinner on 12/19.
Lovely ambiance, attentive service and the most delicious crispy balsamic-Parmesan Brussels sprouts around! Great spot for a date, happy hour, girls dinner.... the flaming s’mores dessert with their homemade graham crackers and marshmallos is super fun.
Brazen was perfect for a Saturday night out. Food was very good, with many choices and options. The wine list was a good match for the different dishes. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made dinner very enjoyable. We will be back
I can't comment on the food because although we made a reservation, they weren't able to get us seated because the previous table was still ordering drinks. I could tell that the host felt awful and kept bringing tasters of what was on the menu, which was appreciated, but after waiting for 55 minutes, we had to leave and get Mcdonalds before our after dinner plans.
Brazen Neighborhood Eatery was highly recommended. We were immediately impressed by Chris, the owner's, graciousness. Our reservation for 10 had turned into 5 on a Friday night. The service was impeccable. We had a variety of dishes and all were perfectly prepared and seasoned. Our thanks and appreciation to Chris and his staff for creating a pleasant dining experience.
