Brazen Neighborhood Eatery
Brazen Neighborhood Eatery has a number of interesting items on the menu. Owner and Chef, Christopher Sargent, brings you fresh oysters on the half shell, tomato braised meatballs, house-made pastas, and rotating large dishes. Some of the items on the brunch menu include the Brazen burger, Brazen ramen and the Chilaquiles.
Great food, and wonderful atmosphere. They were kind and attentive. The service was great, the hostess was friendly and attentive as well but almost seemed to be rough around the edges, when she got busy almost felt her tension etc., please go visit!
literally EVERY single time we have friends or family visit us, we take them to brazen. amazing service (WE LOVE JP), the best food, the patio is heaven, it is all so so so special!
Food was delicious. All the staff made our anniversary dinner very special. Thank you!
Great food, great setting and best of all, great service! Will be back!
Shared several small plates- all quite good and could make a meal without breaking the bank.
So great! Love them!
JP is the best server. Attentive and fun.
The brunch at Brazen is fantastic. The staff is amazing, the food is delicious, and the strawberry rhubarb mimosa is the best!!
Our server was wonderfully knowledgeable and even provided us with a few philosophy quotes to think on. Very fun! The tapas were absolutely outstanding. There were 4 of us and we had about 7 dishes plus dessert. It was hard to pick a favorite!
Enjoyed the quiet patio experience. Food was great as usual, especially the gnocchi dish. Mussels also excellent.
Had a wonderful experience here from the service to the dessert. We wound up waiting for just a bit after our reservation, however, the kitchen sent over a dish for our patience. Afterwards, they continued with the generosity and sent out an incredible bread pudding and chocolate mousse. Every plate was phenomenal! Highly recommend.
A little pricey for the ambiance but food was great and large servings. I would say three per couple not four - not really small bites!
Food and service great. Get new umbrellas or another means of blocking the sun. This is the second time umbrellas were falling on people!
Best dining experience had in a long time. Marvelous menu. Excellent attention from the staff. Even the playlist was good.
We were soooo disappointed! Made a reservation for 4 via Open Table. When we arrived the hostess said we would be seated at the high top community table. I said no, we want a regular table so they brought one in from outside.
We waited about 15 minutes for our initial drink order. Then 2 large parties came in (to be fair I overheard one person say "We made a reservation for 8? Why? There are twelve of us"). There was one waitress and more people came in and sat outside. The food was okay. After waiting for the check for about 30 minutes (ignored by the waitress and hostess that walk by our table many times on the way outside) we walked up and asked for the check. She produced it right away. We left.
This was one of our favorite restaurants in west Denver. I am so sad this happened because I do not want to return.
Brazen is a really good restaurant. Interesting food. Moderate, not too "flavor forward" which means you can taste the subtle flavors. Been there 4 times, will return.
Great food. Love the small plates and sharing!
Outstanding service, excellent patio , very good small plate food options. We very much enjoyed our Fathers Day brunch at this old Elitch Gardens neighborhood location on 38th Avenue. Oh...and bottomless mimosas (three different flavors). Will definitely return to brunch and also try the dinner offerings!
Always incredible flavor and thoughtful preparation. JP, our server, was an absolute pro
Second time coming here and this place does not disappoint! Absolutely loved everything we ordered. Service was excellent and the back patio is lovely. Will definitely be back!
We booked for 10am on Sunday, so it was only opening when we arrived. We sat outside service was prompt and good, food fresh and tasty. They had plenty of umbrellas for sun shade. Overall a very good place for breakfast with lots of local parking.
JP was one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time. Knowledgeable, personable, professional and fun.
Dinner was nice but I would never go back for brunch. The service was terrible and the food was tasty but not worth the value. My husband ordered the eggs and potatoes and there must have been 7 home fries on the plate perfect for a kids entree size. The chiliquiles were very tasty but the eggs they used were the smallest eggs I’ve ever seen and they were not the regular size eggs they used for the other entrees. Not kid friendly at all with menu selection. Good for drinks and appetizers.
The experience would have been pleasant but for our hovering server! He interrupted conversations, took our plates when we still had food and hovered right next to us with nothing to do. My friend said it was enough to make her not want to return. It's was very awkward and intrusive.
This is a go to for us. I try to get something different each time. This time I had the short rib tacos. They were heavenly. It took alot of debating to decide on the tacos.
We sat at the counter and had a great conversation with couple next to us.
This is a place to go have an excellent meal and enjoy the atmosphere!
We have enjoyed Brazen on a few occasions. The staff is great and the food delicious! We started with the watermelon salad, but noticed only one tiny bit of mint, which made the dish tasty. Also, with the tuna poke, which was fantastic, but had only one bit of ginger. The music seemed quite loud for such a small space. We had trouble visiting and noticed the table next to us did, as well.
We’ve been here before any really enjoyed ourselves, however this past Saturday’s service and food were mediocre. Two of us had eggs that were served with undercooked whites, one of us had chicken that was bloody near the bone and our waitress was inattentive. We all had drinks and would have liked a second but she never asked, and only came by to check the table once. Not the worst experience but not the best, I’d definitely think twice before going back.
This was our first visit and we sat on the patio. The service and food were very good. We will definitely return.
The food is fantastic! The experience is not intended to be quick. You can order food for sharing in multiple courses, which results in a slightly longer dining experience, but the food was amazing and well worth the wait.
The black kale salad was just regular green kale, and the service was a little off. Had to wait a long time for last three plates to come out and the second round of drinks didn’t arrive till after the food was all gone and plates cleared. This seems to happen every time we go here, but they usually take it off the bill.
Love this spot. Amazing, locally sourced food. Hidden gem on Tennyson/38th.
Our experience at Brazen got off to a little bit of a rocky start - we had a reservation for 7 but were not seated until about 7:45, and after that it took about another 15 minutes for our waitress to make her way over. So honestly I was not thrilled at the start. BUT, the wait staff and management went above and beyond to make it up to us. They immediately brought out two shared plates while we were perusing the menu, and comped champagne for our group. The chef even made his way out to apologize and make sure everything was great. Not only was the food excellent, but the fact that they went out of their way to make up for a rough start was huge to me. We will definitely be back!
Drew was great!!!! The food was delicious, just overpriced. I love the concept and service, plus the patio is perfect. Great staff all around. I'm aware of food and labor costs so I only have a small problem with the pricing. I think it's the neighborhood trend unfortunately. Keep up the good work and I will go back.
Great little neighborhood spot. Service was outstanding!
Brazen had been on the menu for a couple of years but for some reason we never made it in until the other night. Our one regret, we waited a couple of years... Home run; food, ambiance, value and service were all amazing. From the short ribs, a new favorite of all our favorites, to the play list, seriously every song was on point, you cannot beat it. We already planned our next visit. Don't pass Brazen up!
Food service was a little slow
We had such a fabulous brunch! Some of the best deviled eggs I have ever eaten!
I was in town with a girlfriend and we ate here before heading to the airport. The food was outstanding and the entire staff was friendly.
5 of us were celebrating a birthday. Perfect choice! We tried several different dishes: kale salad, beet salad, mushroom toast, burrata, and the favorite, jerk chicken. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent and I can’t wait to go back.
