BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Pittsburgh - Waterfront
Bravo! Waterfront is in the heart of the Waterfront Shopping District, directly across from Loew’s Cinemas. We are only 6 miles from downtown Pittsburgh & Duquesne University, 5 miles from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, 4 miles from Kennywood Amusement Park & a quarter mile from Sandcastle Water Park.
Never even got seated the wait even though we had reservations was 2 hrs after our time.
This was by far my worse experience ever at a restaurant on Mother’s Day. The management overbooked so many reservations between 5-7pm that even if you did have a reservation I still waited 1 hour 10 minutes to find out our pager did not work and the hostess was voice calling people. However with 150 people in the lobby we never heard the call. Fortunately we did grab a bar high top table which was very uncomfortable for my 88 year old father who was waiting this entire time to eat. Also how do you run out of proseco when one of your signature drinks is the peach Bellini? I really wanted one only to be told you were out of Proseco. The only highlight of the dinner was out waiter Aaron. He was awesome and made a bad situation tolerable. This was very poor planning by management.
Reservations were not honored- it was a 45 minute wait. This was difficult for a 91 year old woman.
Our server was excellent and went above and beyond for us.
The food was delicious and we were happy that the restaurant agreed to split the main dish between two guests.
So Open Table sent me a text message at 6:33 AM the day after my reservation to tell me my table at Bravo was almost ready. Need to do better Open Table.
Booked ahead for mother's day. Arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes ahead of reservation time. Was told that they are running behind due to people not leaving and talking after finishing their meals. Was finally at a table 70 minutes past our initial reservation time. Food was fine but took very long to get after ordering. Was told by an employee that they were sitting walk-in customers amongst reservation customers. Spent 3 hours at the restaurant from start to finish. Probably won't do that again on a holiday or special day. Spent over $150 total for 4 people. Gave our waiter a nice tip because he had great table side manners.
Great food and friendly atmosphere
Believe it or not I didn’t want to spent my entire Saturday night at bravo. 7:15 reservations, not seated until 8, food at 9:20. Boo this place. Boo.
Horrible experience. Waited an hour past reservation time. Kept being told next table is yours but watched multiple people seated ahead of us including parties without reservations. The mediocre food is not worth this aggravation.
I had a reservation for 9 people for 5:30 pm to celebrate a college graduation. I had made the reservation about a week in advance and verified that it was a reservation and not call ahead seating. I was told it was a reservation. It took over an hour to get seated for a reservation. Unexceptable wait time.
We were asked to move to a booth and the manager said she would take off the appetizer and that did not happen
Everything was great! Very busy, go glad I made reservations.
As always, great food & cocktails. Service was spot on & noise level was acceptable for this type of restaurant. Lasagne was a little watery but delicious. Overall, been here before & WILL return!
We had reservations for over a week and wound up sitting behind a door a door that kept being opened and closed.
Erin was a great waiter. Pork chops were awesome. My favorite place to eat.
Bravo’s food and service has come a long way—most likely due to being acquired last year. The new menu offerings were delicious (loved the spaghetti cacio e pepe) and even the staples they kept are much better. Our family had basically written off Bravo and when we heard it was under new ownership, we decided to give it a try again. We were not disappointed and will be back!
Never disappoints! Always good food & good service.
The environment was perfect for our occasion. Co-workers bonding outside the work environment and enjoying one anothers company. The food was outstanding! The service was present, caring, and attentive!
We will keep this on our list to meet!
I ordered pasta with Bologna’s sauce, which, if made wrong, can be horrible. Mine was delicious. The sauce was full of meat and flavor, and the pasta was al dente. It tasted so good, especially with the cheese sprinkled on top by our server.
The food and service were excellent. It was extremely busy so I am glad that I made reservations. There was a 40-minute wait without them.
I have always loved going to Bravo's, this is the first time that I have something negative to say. It's been a long winter for all of us, but your seats need cleaned and carpets cleaned. There is a smell that only comes from ignoring these issues.
I’m never disappointed when I go to Bravo’s. The food is good, reasonably priced. Much better than Olive Garden as chain Italian restaurant. I had an excellent, most tender pork chop with green beans. I limit my carbs so no potatoes. My daughter had pasta which she liked. It’s convenient for a after work dinner. We go there a lot for mother:daughter get togethers
The food was great for all. However, the waiter was not friendly and refused to allow my wife get a smaller portion of chicken diablo. In the past she was allowed to do this.
It was my birthday and it appeared to be an imposition to bring me ice cream with a candle on it.
I will come back but will make sure it is a different waiter,
Our waiter did not pay attention when people at the table made special requests for example no dressing on salad, no crunchy pasta in a salad, a chicken salad was ordered but no chicken was on it so we had to wait for that, I ordered soup and salad as my meal and asked for it to come out with everyone's lunch but soup was brought out with the appetizer. took our waiter a while to refill drinks as he was seen hanging out talking to staff members in the back. Took a while to get our check to leave. Not the best service we have received when coming here.
We had the pork chops with mashed potatoes and lasagna. The food was great but the service not so great our waiter was Mia the whole time We had the get another waitress to get us water. And forget bread we never saw him till the meal was over.
The food waa incredible and the service impeccable!!!!
Food was good. Service can be better. I had to remind her to get my drink and finally cancel it as we finished our appetizer and ready for food and few others minor issues with service. To their defense, it was a peak time and it was very crowded.
Nice time.... great place to visit with a friend over lunch.....We each chose a salad a shared a pizza... worked out well
One member of my party arrived first and was told that there was not a reservation for our group. ( I made the reservation the week before and had a confirmation number).
Food was very good but I was misled by the BOGO deal being restricted to dine in only. 🙁. It would be nice to have a lunch menu available on Saturday. Also, maybe offer a dessert that is lighter. We opted for sundaes which were so-so. Just gelato and a drizzle of syrup. No whipped cream, nuts or cherry. Really, $4.99 for that was a bit much.
Service was slow, perhaps they didn’t anticipate the lunch hour being so busy.
Food was really good, service was helpful and drinks seem expensive, but due to the area it was a good deal. Overall I would go back again
I went to get my favorite dish the balsamic chicken only to find they removed it from their menu. It was hands down my favorite thing there. I had to get something else, it was good but I mainly go for the Balsamic Chicken. There weee several tables around me also inquiring why they removed it. It was the only almost healthy meal on the menu. Our waiter was great and the use of Open Table got us in and seated right away.
Overall I was satisfied. However not as satisfied as prior times. The basic reason is that the menu was limited. As an example, the Parmesan crusted chicken salad was not on the menu. This is our favorite. Hopefully you can reconsider and put it in the menu.
Love the new items on the menu. Chicken meatballs with polenta is my favorite.
Although we had reservations for 6pm we were not seated until 6:25...service was incredibly slow. Fortunately the food was good!
everything was great except I had received an email for $10 off for my birthday, but unfortunately it apparently was not entered on my Bravo membership card so therefore was not honored. That does not seem right to me and disappointing.
Overall it was a great experience. My date and I had the shrimp scampi. I found it a little lacking in flavor. We were treated to a Free cheese dip. Price's were in line. I will try it again
Great food and service. Been there multiple times and it gets better each time. Perfect for a date!
I had a reservation at 7:30, I got there and told the hostess I was here for my 7:30 reservation. she gave me a pager and said it will be a little bit. I was annoyed about this because I specifically had a reservation and typically at places that you have a reservation you do not need to wait when you arrive because they were expecting you. We waited and saw other people come in and say they had reservations and they were seated right away. I finally had it when I over heard a couple come in and say they had a reservation at 7:45 and they were sat right away. I go up to the hostess and said I’m confused, I had a reservation at 7:30 and those people came in for a reservation at 7:45. The hostess said oh yeah.. it looks like yours was for 7:30. I’m sorry about that. Give me a min to see if your table is free. The other hostess came over to see what was going on. She explained that ours was for 7:30. I heard her mumble saying oh well and acted like it was whatever. No formal apology and they did not try to make an attempt to ensure to make up for this bad experience. Someone said this Bravo is under new ownership, this is sad if the staff is uncaring about their customers. I will not be back due to the way the hostesses treated us as well as a bad experience with our reservation.
We had a wonderful Valentines dinner At Bravo!!!
The service and the ambiance were perfect and the food was absolutely fantastic!!!
Thank you so much! The restaurant experience made our night!
Bravo changed their menu and I’m not pleased about it. They took off the flat bread pizza, chopped salad, fried potatoes, and really limited the menu.
