BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Pittsburgh - Waterfront
Bravo! Waterfront is in the heart of the Waterfront Shopping District, directly across from Loew’s Cinemas. We are only 6 miles from downtown Pittsburgh & Duquesne University, 5 miles from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh, 4 miles from Kennywood Amusement Park & a quarter mile from Sandcastle Water Park.
Slow service and out of shrimp napoli and mamma Mia wine, usually they are better then this
Reservation was for 8:00. Didn’t get seated until 8:40. No server until 9:00. Food was awful. Server was not good either.
Not like it used to be. I had the spaghetti with meatballs; the spaghetti was dry (not enough sauce) but flavorful. The meatballs were excellent! Waited long time until the servers attempted to figure out who was going to wait on us! The waitress was friendly but spilled the drink I paid for on the table & didn't offer to bring me another one. Overall, just an ok experience. "May" be back.....
The staff were extremely loud. I heard rap music coming from the kitchen, the chef with all the hair did not have a bonnet on. The staff were yelling back n forth. It was very loud. I expected better. I sent my initial order back. The shrimp didn’t taste fresh.
Service was excellent but very slow in between drinks, appetizer, bread, meal...... Had to wait about a half hour for a table even though I made a reservation on open table 2 days prior to the visit. For the most part the various parm dinners, salads, and crab bisque soups were good but my wedding soup was cold and my fettuccine entree was cold and gummy.
One of our favorite restaurants. Great choices and rarely disappointed.
The food was just ok. The dessert was really good. Service was a little slow
As always, good good and service. Very convenient
We went for my fathers birthday and had my 2 year old nephew. Our server was so kind and good to us
This restaurant is filthy. Portion sizes are very small compared to pricing. There are no vegan/vegetarian options at all.
Really enjoyed the new menu items. Food served piping hot. Friendly and very attentive waitstaff
Everything was wonderful! Definitely will return!
Food times seemed to be longer then normal; other tables got their food before us. Our appetizer (calamari), seemed like we received only a half of a portion. Food tasted good, but all seemed overpriced for what was received.
The service was terrible, he was polite, but drinks took forever to come and when they did, they were incorrect. Out of Miller Light. He didn’t really check back in and I was thirsty. The meal was just ok, expected better. The check was incorrect as well. This was an anniversary dinner and we were just disappointed overall.
Server seemed a bit overwhelmed. Food was delicious. Was promised more bread but it never came. Price is a bit high but portions are hearty.
I did not eat. Hair on my plate. Never saw the manager.
My friends and I greatly enjoyed our lunch. Our Server was excellent. Very friendly, professional and attentive. She the experience that much more enjoyable.
This used to be one of our favorites, but lately it's gone downhill. We wanted to give them one more try before writing them off, but sadly I'm not sure they changed our minds. The staff is still friendly but the speed of service has gotten significantly worse. Even though we made a reservation, we still waited about 25 minutes after the reservation time before we were seated. The food is still good though.
Three attempts to get sugar for my dads tea resulted in cold tea. Forgot multiple drinks and other items. Food average.
Our server Renecca was Attentive and prompt and gave us really great recommendations
Decided to dine at Bravo after our movie. Our table was ready when we arrived. We were greeted with a smile, and seated promptly. Our server was just delightful, we had her once before, and super nice and friendly. Our meals were just as expected. My wife had the pesto pasta, and she loved it. I ordered the NY strip steak, rare. I hesitate ordering steak out, due to the fact to many have come to the table over cooked at other restaurants. Not this one, it was served to perfection, totally rare. We had a great experience. Thanks Bravo at the waterfront for a great meal.
I brought an elderly friend to lunch who uses a walker. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I would especially like to give special recognition to Dave the host who was so kind and thoughtful. I do hope his excellent service is valued and rewarded.
It was great! Highly recommended! The service was on point.
I enjoyed the restaurant’s ambiance because there were no TVs, it was tastefully decorated (for a chain), and the noise level was low so I could easily hear conversation at our table.
A teacher having a reunion with two ninth graders fifty two years later had no trouble finding food choices for each. Waitress interrupted conversation twice to ask if everything was all right, but was otherwise competent. Food served promptly was hot and delicious. An overall good evening. I would highly recommend Bravo to anyone.
Nice Freindly service, food was served without delay and was very tasty. Will highly recommend to anyone who wants to spend time and money in right place.
Food was delicious as always, and Our waitress was outstanding!
Great as always from start to find as well as the staff.
My Manhattan was was the smallest pour ever.
Bread was stale.
Food and service were good. Reservation was at 7:15. Did not get seated until after 8:00. Disappointed in wait time.
We had a reservation for 7:15. When we arrived and checked in, we were not told reservations were running behind. We waited about a half hour past the reservation time before we were seated. We were told before ordering that all entrees came with soup or salad we did not get either. When the server brought water to the table, she refilled everyone’s except the person who had asked for water and then never returned. The food was good but not terribly hot.
We used opentable to make a 6:45 reservation. We arrived at about 6:45 however had a line from the host stand to the door. By the time we arrived at the hostess, it was about 6:50. We were informed we would have a 10 min wait for our table to be ready and were asked to provide a phone number which they wrote on a slip. At 7:05, we inquired on our table and told we had another few people ahead of us. By 7:30, I went back to the front desk, and saw that our name had been scratched off the list and we were never called. I don’t believe this Bravo location understands how reservations are supposed to work. If I have a 6:45 reservation, I expect a table to be reserved. I do not expect to be put in another line. If I knew we would have a 45 min wait, I would dine elsewhere. That’s the point of having a reservation - to not have to wait for a table. Our server was fine, I marked service low mostly due to the hosts not handling our reservation properly.
Delicious food. I was looking forward to the meal all day and it did not disappoint. Great loyalty program keeps us going back to Bravos as well.
Service was friendly and excellent, not overbearing at all. My chicken salad was swimming in dressing. Probably best to ask for it on the side. Also, lettuce was too chopped up. But a good place to have lunch if over at the Waterfront.
Bravo is always good and we really enjoy the Waterfront location. The restaurant is always clean, the food is great, and the service is excellent!
We checked in the young lady was super sweet but after that all went down hill. We waited at the Table for sometime and then a nice young lady came and got our drink orders and got us the drinks as the actual server was busy. He finally came to take our orders. Instead of coming to our table and asking about our food orders he stood at the section were he enters the food order in the computer he did not offer the free soup or salad option which is a new deal. I had to ask him about the deal and he then ordered soup for us. Also the bread soy and the meal all came maybe a minute apart
Worst service I have ever had at Bravo
Seven family members enjoyed dinner together prior to going to the movies. All seven cleaned their plates! Everyone said their meals were great! Wonderful choice of restaurant!
We always enjoy going to Bravo's.....they were dealing with a "boil water" emergency because of a water main break in the area, so things were a bit hectic. But, they were on top of things by getting bottled water for the customers and trying to accommodate a larger than usual crowd because some of the other restaurants nearby had to close, so people were showing up at Bravo's because they didn't realize the situation. They handled it very well.
My girls were home from college and we wanted to take them out. Bravo never fails us. The food is delicious and the staff is on top of it at all times.
Restaurant was very crowded and we were seated next to a birthday party with about 20 people, but the people were nice. Just a little hard for the five of us at our table to converse.
