BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Pittsburgh - McKnight
The McKnight road BRAVO! location is in the heart of the North Hills district. It is just 1 mile down the road from Ross Park Mall, one of the largest malls in the city. It is 6 miles away from North Park, a 3,075 acre county park. We are across the street from St. Sebastian's, the largest Catholic church in the area. We are also located only 7 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, where you can find theaters such as Heinz Hall and he Benedum Center in Pittsburgh's Cultural District, and also find the homes of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates, Heinz Field and PNC Park, respectively.
It seemed as if they were short staffed. our server wasn't supposed to be our server but no one came over. She said he was too busy. There were dirty tables everywhere l. You could tell the managers were running around trying hard to make a nice dining experience on black friday.
When ordering a salad, mine was with salmon, you expect healthy greens not shredded iceberg. I should have asked but most restaurants use field greens now so it didn’t occur to me that you would still serve iceberg without out it being spelled out in the menu
Although we had a reservation, we had to wait 25 minutes past our reservation time. Food service was very slow. Our waitress was very good, but it appeared she had too many tables to take care of for a busy Friday night. Food was very good. Staff was very friendly.
Waitress took a long time to bring bread as there was not many people in the restaurant. Also I had shrimp and lobster fettuccini and all my seafood was way over cooked. For the price I expected the food to taste better.
Had a large group. We were seated on time. Service was excellent. Food was very good.
Reservation was right on time. Food was excellent as always. It was not as busy as expected on a Saturday night.
The chef needs to tone down the amount of salt and seasonings he is using.
Had to scrape the seasoning off grilled salmon before eating it.
Dining partner said same thing about the steak.
Always takes a long time for food to come out of kitchen at this place.
However, good value for price.
Food was excellent. Service was sub par.
Parking lot is hard to find, they were out of zucchini how does that happen. 3 of the 4 ordered meals ere good bit my shrimp and fettuccine was incredibly overcooked both the noodles and shrimp were like rubber.
the table was right near kitchen. Noise level unbearable Food ho-hum. Mine was very bad. Never going back. Also very expensive.
Food was nice, service was subpar. Had to wait an hour for our food (2 people) to come. Our waitress left us unattended for an entire, literal hour.
I had the lobster ravioli and salad which were delicious, one of us had the pepperoni pizza and the other had spaghetti with meat sauce which were very very good! A favorite restaurant of ours.
Had a wonderful Birthday luncheon. Great food. From appetizers to dessert everyone was happy.
Called to confirm that patio was still be used was told yes. Made reservation, showed up, people outside, told by hostess that no wait staff will work on tables outside. What? Manager was very nice but the entire situation was absurd. Won’t be back anytime soon.
Usually everything is outstanding but Saturday they were out of wine glasses so we had to wait for them and my husband wanted a miller lite and they were out of them at 6:30pm. The food was excellent, especially the napoli (?) shrimp and chicken scallopini. We were 2 older couples and not in any hurry but it also took quite awhile to get out dinners. Our waitress was very nice and tried to be accommodating. I'm hoping it was due to the large party in the back room and that everything will get back to normal.
Rated ambiance as neutral because it was so cold you could hang meat. Took away from the comfort and enjoyment of the experience.
The food is always good and so is the service.
Excellent grilled salmon with vegetables.
Good food and atmosphere! Service was slow but okay and it was not crowded!
Always a pleasure to dine with the confidence the food will be delicious!
One of us had the wedding soup and the other had the capris salad and then we each had the shrimp scampi. Delicious!!! One of my favorite restaurants.
Wonderful food and service
Ordered eggplant parmigiana but did not want side order of pasta. When meal delivered to table two pieces of eggplant with dollop of sauce covered by slightly larger topping of cheese. Nothing else. One of the most unappetizing meals I’ve ever had. Had to ask twice for additional sauce and by the time it came I was finished with my meal. Meal looked like it came from freezer to microwave to me (and another part who ordered the eggplant) We were both shocked at presentation (or lack of)
The management was outstanding.
Slow service overall and it was not that crowded. Drinks were very slow, slow to take orders and didn’t even refill water without asking. It going back anytime soon.
Excellent food for the price. Pleasant atmosphere. Waiter was very attentive.
Poor service. Very slow
Everything including the service was excellent.
Great food! The Bolognese is the best anywhere!
Consistent quality food and presentation. Professional servers and diverse menu
One of our. Favorite local restaurants
The eggplant Parmesan has a gummy coating and without much taste.
My friend had the pasta and sausage and I had the lobster ravioli...they were both so good. We also shared a caprese salad which was just the right amount and delicious! Love this restaurant and will be going back very soon. Our waitress was very very nice and very professional.
Waiter very personable and helpful. Gave us a birthday dessert as we were celebrating a birthday.
service was ok once a waiter showed up. we had a reservation and were seated promptly, but waited about 15 mins for waiter to show up. Even though restaurant was half empty.
food is reasonably priced, but very average. our group agreed that Bravo is not as good as it used to be.
old menu and prep was better.
Our waitress was fantastic!!!!! Food was excellent!!
Bravo never fails to satisfy. The food was delicious.
Over the last year your portion sizes have decreased substantially. I always order the spaghettini with regular meatballs. The meatballs are very small and the portion of noodles is laughable. Noodles are cheap, I don't understand the reasoning behind it. My family orders other items from the menu that have gotten substantially smaller as well. I will no longer make Bravo my first choice.
Our waitress was the best, so attentive and friendly and so willing to please. Just loved her. Our
dinner were delicious and we enjoyed every moment we spent at Bravo/McKnight. This was our
51st wedding anniversary and we have celebrated so many anniversaries at Bravo in the past, except
for our 50th....surprise party given by our son and his wife. Thank you for making our night special.
I took my 88-year-old aunt out for lunch. I was surprised and disappointed to discover that the daily lunch specials were not offered on the weekend. I was also disappointed in the service.
