BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Pittsburgh - McKnight
The McKnight road BRAVO! location is in the heart of the North Hills district. It is just 1 mile down the road from Ross Park Mall, one of the largest malls in the city. It is 6 miles away from North Park, a 3,075 acre county park. We are across the street from St. Sebastian's, the largest Catholic church in the area. We are also located only 7 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, where you can find theaters such as Heinz Hall and he Benedum Center in Pittsburgh's Cultural District, and also find the homes of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates, Heinz Field and PNC Park, respectively.
One of us had the wedding soup and the other had the capris salad and then we each had the shrimp scampi. Delicious!!! One of my favorite restaurants.
Wonderful food and service
Ordered eggplant parmigiana but did not want side order of pasta. When meal delivered to table two pieces of eggplant with dollop of sauce covered by slightly larger topping of cheese. Nothing else. One of the most unappetizing meals I’ve ever had. Had to ask twice for additional sauce and by the time it came I was finished with my meal. Meal looked like it came from freezer to microwave to me (and another part who ordered the eggplant) We were both shocked at presentation (or lack of)
The management was outstanding.
Slow service overall and it was not that crowded. Drinks were very slow, slow to take orders and didn’t even refill water without asking. It going back anytime soon.
Excellent food for the price. Pleasant atmosphere. Waiter was very attentive.
Poor service. Very slow
Everything including the service was excellent.
Great food! The Bolognese is the best anywhere!
Consistent quality food and presentation. Professional servers and diverse menu
One of our. Favorite local restaurants
The eggplant Parmesan has a gummy coating and without much taste.
My friend had the pasta and sausage and I had the lobster ravioli...they were both so good. We also shared a caprese salad which was just the right amount and delicious! Love this restaurant and will be going back very soon. Our waitress was very very nice and very professional.
Waiter very personable and helpful. Gave us a birthday dessert as we were celebrating a birthday.
service was ok once a waiter showed up. we had a reservation and were seated promptly, but waited about 15 mins for waiter to show up. Even though restaurant was half empty.
food is reasonably priced, but very average. our group agreed that Bravo is not as good as it used to be.
old menu and prep was better.
Our waitress was fantastic!!!!! Food was excellent!!
Bravo never fails to satisfy. The food was delicious.
Over the last year your portion sizes have decreased substantially. I always order the spaghettini with regular meatballs. The meatballs are very small and the portion of noodles is laughable. Noodles are cheap, I don't understand the reasoning behind it. My family orders other items from the menu that have gotten substantially smaller as well. I will no longer make Bravo my first choice.
Our waitress was the best, so attentive and friendly and so willing to please. Just loved her. Our
dinner were delicious and we enjoyed every moment we spent at Bravo/McKnight. This was our
51st wedding anniversary and we have celebrated so many anniversaries at Bravo in the past, except
for our 50th....surprise party given by our son and his wife. Thank you for making our night special.
I took my 88-year-old aunt out for lunch. I was surprised and disappointed to discover that the daily lunch specials were not offered on the weekend. I was also disappointed in the service.
The waitress seems very inexperienced. She didn’t know the menu, didn’t know how good was prepared, didn’t know what could be added or substituted and was very unsure of what was being offered. She was not very busy but was very inattentive to empty drinks and the need for silverware and napkins. I was very disappointed with this visit.
Good food, good service, good value. It’s a winner every time. We are never disappointed when we leave. We are repeat customers.
Arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation as one should but didn’t get seated until nearly 45 minutes past our reservation. The manager was kind enough to comp us 2 appetizers due to the delay which thankfully arrived at our table promptly after being seated. Unfortunately the same could not be said of our food which took about 40 minutes to come out after ordering. I’m total we got our main courses about 2 hours after our reservation time. The food was good but most of our party boxed well over half of their meal because the meal was so late in arriving that we were no longer hungry.
I’m so thankful that my autistic nephew had to cancel out or we’d have had a melt down.
We have always loved Bravos for a very good meal at a reasonable price. We returned after a few years of being away and were somewhat disappointed. The menu had changed which is fine but fewer Italian pasta dished...which is what we liked best. Food and service was good but not very good. We always give our favorite restaurants a second chance before we remove them from our favorites list and we will do that for Bravos.
Visited on Mother’s Day. Food was good. Seated in a side room where temperature was uncomfortably cold. Multiple failed attempts by server to moderate temperature so we were uncomfortable for the whole 90 minutes that we were there. Manager never stopped by. Ask for a table in the main dining room where temperature was appropriate.
It was impressive to see how smoothly the restaurant staff handled a Mother's Day surge for the afternoon lunch shift. Truly well coordinated and managed.
We always have good service here, but not this night. Most of the problem was the waitresss. She was nice, but didn’t have a clue what she was doing. The kitchen was a little behind so we waited 45 min from the time we sat down until the food came. I had eggplant park and the pasta that came with it was cold. My family was there for an hour and a half. When the waitress finally brought the bill it was blank with a total written on it. Thank goodness for the excellent management there that always takes care of their customers. We were comped desserts - which the waitress charged us for!
We had reservations for 7:30, but didn't get seated until after 8. The food did not seemed rushed, so it was good.
Food was outstanding as always and our server was the best I've had in a while. There was only one glitch to the evening, desserts were ordered, and delicious, but took 25 minutes to arrive at table. Restaurant took appropriate action and all were happy with the entire evening.
Would be nice to offer a linch menu.
The food was delicious, although my portion of spaghetti was a bit sparse. My husband got the linguini Alfredo with chicken and was a nice portion and very tasty. I booked ahead on open table and we were seated immediately. Everyone was very nice.
Good service made for a quick lunch. Food was good as expected.
Food was awesome and service was quick! This is the best Bravos in Pgh!
The food was tasty, but the portions are on the smaller side. The wait time is long, but the service was very good, so that helped. Thank you.
We had an extraordinary server, her name is Suzanne. She was quick to offer suggestions. She made sure we were happy with each part of our meal. It was an extra busy Saturday night, but she never let us wait too long without checking in. She even brewed us a fresh pot of decaf coffee to go with our desserts! Great date night!
Two of us had the salmon and the other one had the steak...everything just melted in your mouth! Two of the kids had spaghetti and meatballs and one had the pepperoni pizza. They ate everything which was great!
We will definitely be going back.
Decided to have lunch and we both enjoyed the shrimp scampi combo. All executed well; food and service, in their typical efficient style. Pardon the pun: Bravo!
It’s a really nice good chain Italian restaurant. We are always treated very nicely and really appreciate it.
The service was just okay. The meal portion was small and does not include soup or salad. There are better food and values nearby for a better price.
We've always enjoyed such good meals at Bravo however this past experience was an exception I hope. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and it showed in the VERY slow service. The food ,while the flavors were wonderful, the portions and price were a disappointment. My meal consisted of 5 shrimp ,1/2 cup of farro and 3 spears of asparagus . All for $17.99-and not even a salad! Bar bites are a much better value-guess we'll stick to those-even though they keep eliminating the best ones....
Had a college graduation dinner with family group of 11. We wanted a moderately priced restaurant close to the city and could not be happier with Bravo! The staff was great as was the food! We will definitely be back.
