BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Metairie
Wonderful food and service.
The food was delicious and we received excellent service. I had special dietary concerns and they were very accommodating.
This place is always providing professional service and delicious food. The vegetable meatball was great and the creme brulee was amazing!!
Food was excellent, service was great. Spacing between tables was very good, did not bump into other diners to visit facilities.
Mother’s Day lunch. Very accommodating and efficient.
Celebrating my sister’s graduation. We had a great experience.
We have eaten at this location for 20 years. Was my favorite restaurant. But between the constant menu changes, and the horrible service, it will be a long time before we go back. It took a hour to get our food from when we sat down. Forgot our salads. Had to flag down another waitress for drink refills. My wife’s win sat on the bar for 15 mins until we asked about it . My 6oz medium filet was burnt and charred on outside and was lucky if it was 3 oz.
Service was excellent! Food was mediocre (at best) and parking was a nightmare! Even if I gave this restaurant 5 stars, I would not recommend because it took me about 30 minutes to park and we had to park about 2 blocks away but there were only 20 people in the restaurant.
Our server didn’t get our order correct, soup and salad served before our appetizer. Our lasagna had less meat and more cheese that it had to be pushed aside to find the pasta. One plus was that the manager apologized and did “comp” the appetizer, only to have it added to the bill anyway ( eventually it was removed). Not the best experience and we’d be hard pressed to go again or to recommend it to others.
This is a place to bring your kids and let them run around and disturb other guests while their trying to enjoy a nice meal. Value was terrible
Hostess should face customers waiting in line!!!! I had to say “excuse me” to get her attention......
Wish I would have read the recent reviews before going to the restaurant.. menu has changed and food was not fresh.
Overall it was very good. The server was slow getting our order. She was swamped because it was Easter, and the appetizer we ordered never came. But the food was DELICIOUS. I had the lasagna which was to die for! Best ever. My husband had the pork chops which was super tender-he loved them! My son had veal Parmesan and he said it was outstanding- best he'd ever had! My daughter chicken fettuccine alfredo with spinach and she cleaned off her plate. She did say it could of used more sauce so maybe order an extra ramiken of sauce if you get this plate. So YES EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND COMING HERE!!!!
Once a great place to eat, now food is cold, service is slow to non existent. Should have known when we walked in and the place was empty. Usually crowded, but no longer. We had to keep piling up the plates and dishes at the end of the table. Thank goodness there was only 5 of us at a 6 place table.
Great service, great food!
Love Bravo because it offers many items for kids and healthy options for me. Our waiter Christopherwas wonderful. Second time we had him at the Metairie Lakeside location.
I was amazed that Bravo is now offering organic meat options as well as meatless meatballs. This is fantastic and the flavor has not been compromised. The food was very flavorful. I think Bravo will become one of my favorites locally.
We arrived and half the placenwas empty so they sat us and a baby in a booth that was very uncomfortable. We left and the tables were still empty. The server really slow. The food very good.
Just a last minute dinner date.
Food was very good, Spaghetti Bolognese was excellent. Service (Sue) was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. I do miss the crispy ravioli which was our favorite appetizer and has been taken off the menu. The bread is a treat in itself.
I rec'd email announcing soup and salad combo for $8. Apparently there is fine print because when we got there we were told only ONE person could place that order and get that price. Either have a promotion or don't, but don't hide behind stipulations.
The food was very good/ I ordered something that had come off the menu but they fixed it anyway.\
I took my Aunt for her birthday on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was not crowded at all. We were greeted promptly. My issue was the length of time it took for 3 meals to come out with a 3/4 empty restaurant. The food was good and hot, but had to have taken 30-40 minutes. Nothing we ordered was that complicated. The waiter was not very attentive. Overall, the food was good, but the service was lacking.
My lady and I went for Valentines evening. It was our second visit. The food was average. The server was overworked and not very attentive. Not his fault because he had many tables. I ordered a glass of red wine for the main course and it never came so I cancelled it. The server said the bar was moving slowly so apparently there was a problem on that point. The server was very polite and apologetic about the wine issue. We're not going back.
Table was ready upon arrival. Our waiter admitted he was fairly new....had a few hiccups along the way. My dish was lukewarm, but I enjoyed it as leftovers. Maybe Valentines was not the day to go to this restaurant.
They had our reservation (good!), their menu has been changed from previous years to be more "basic", which means duller. For instance their chopped bravo salad which I loved has been discontinued. The bosses may say it is to be more authentic; I say duller. In ambiance for a date it is very good, and server-wise, our guy was excellent.
Sound level was good considering how crowded it was. Our server, Brian D, was attentive. I was disappointed that they were out of Italian Wedding soup. I ordered the lobster bisque and it was very rich We ordered calamari and were both disappointed. The breading was heavy with no flavor. It only had strips and one would never know that they were eating calamari.
Good meal, The Spaghetti Bolognese is excellent and the fresh seasoned bread is amazing. The noise level is energetic. I was sorry to see that the crispy ravioli was no longer available on the appetizer menu.
Great as always..........................——————————-
At one time this was one of our family standard restaurants but we moved. When back in the area we happily made reservations but our expectations were obviously too high.
The Calamari was big and tough. But the sauce was great. Veal Parmesan was interesting; the breading was soggy and burned. It truly ruined the dish. Shrimp Diablo was just a bit over the top on spice.
The service was great, ambience is very nice and the wine selection is well thought out.
First the hostess completely lied and said they had nothing available and were only taking online reservations. I stood there in front of her and booked an online reservation for that exact time we were there and she said, “Oh you’re lucky we just had a cancellation.” We sat down and our waitress took our drink and appetizer orders. We received our appetizers before our drinks. The lobster bisque had shrimp pieces instead of lobster. The waitress brought the bread and dipping oil which was immediately gone because we were a party of 5. She never refilled it. We had to ask her for drink refills after sitting there for at least 15 minutes empty. The food came and it was good but a little cold. Again we had to sit for a while with empty drinks because our waitress was nowhere to be found. When she finally came back we asked for drink refills, boxes, and some new plates and forks because it was my sister’s birthday. She told us that they did not have any clean silverware. We told her we would take forks or spoons or even plastic. She magcally can e back with 5 plates and 5 spoons. The restaurant was half empty by this time. We had to ask her for the bill. She placed it on the table and came back about 5 minutes later to pick it up. When she brought back the receipt to sign she placed it on the table and left. She didn’t even bother to pick up the dirty glasses or plates. She never once acknowledged my sister for her birthday. She was the worst server we have ever encountered there. She is very lucky that my fiancé is nice because he left her a 20% tip which she did not deserve at all.
Great New Years Eve place to celebrate.
we go to Bravo's about 4 or 5 time a years and as all ways it is good and we enjoy our dinner - thanks
Enjoyed having BRAVO open on Christmas Eve when most restaurants close early for the evening.
The food was great but I was a bit disappointed that both the soup & the bread with my meal arrived with cheese even though I’d specified I was allergic. The waiter didn’t really check on us often so I removed it with a spoon from the soup. When the meals were brought I told the waiter again of my allergy. He offered no replacement so I gave the bread to someone else in my party. It is not a life-threatening allergy for me, but the lack of attention to detail is potentially troublesome to someone else.
Service was great, food appearance, arrangement and taste... poor quality
I requested a table in a corner since we were having a business meeting however they sat us in the middle between two other tables.
Appreciate Gluton free options. Overall very good Italian restaurant with non Italian options too. Gave only four stars on value as salad was extra.
