BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Lansing
Michigan State University is only 10 minutes away. The Lansing Lugnuts Stadium ( A Minor League Baseball Team) are also nearby. We are located ten minutes from the State Capitol.
Table was just outside of the kitchen....worst table in the place. Extreme noise, excess traffic.
Price seemed excessive......2 long lasagna needles, Hale cup meat sauce that was tasteless, small dab of ricotta cheese, 2 tablespoons tomato sauce.......$17.00 salad was optional....Side Ceaser salad of dry chopped romaine with small amount of grated cheese, no oil, a few croutons....$5.00
Two person, 2 lasagna dinners, two small side salads........$57.00 and WE LEFT FEELING HUNGRY
Taste of lasagna was minimal......
Used to be very very tasty and nicely spiced......this was FLAT
Cost of ingredients of meal less than $5.00.......profit was likely $50.00+.
Not a value priced meal for noisiest venue in town. We were rushed....they had us out in 35 minutes
Since it was Mother's Day, the restaurant was very busy, as it should be. The food was great, service was excellent and the manager came by to see if everything was good. Good atmosphere and good company.
Not sure if I would or not, we use to go there frequently like three times monthly and over the last six months a lot of things have changed and not necessarily for the better. The menu change is not our favorite move, some of the recepes changed making the food more bland the portion sizes got smaller and lastly the service is not what it use to be. Maybe its me but I do not think so I have talked with some of my friends and they have noticed the same thing. The restaurant was at one time special heck you had to call two weeks in advance of Mother's Day of a special event just to assure yourself a table, now I called the day before Mother's Day and had no problem getting a table. Maybe I got lucky of maybe it is something else??
Things change and possibly that is the way not is which is to bad!!
Ready for our arrival, service was prompt and efficient, food looked and tasted good.
I loved their break and dipping oil with herbs! It reminds me of a mixture between Olive Garden prices and Macaroni Grill ambiance with the bread. The food was warm and tasted fresh. Service was great too! My mom and I meet in Lansing once in a while, and this will be a restaurant we meet at again.
We had not been to Bravo for several months as we are away for the winter . I was very disappointed in the menu. Where was the chopped salad. I had a dinner salad ( very small) with dried chicken. One member of our party sent the salmon back as it was dry. One member, a vegetarian, asked for a hard boiled egg. The waitress was not pleasant. I doubt if we will be back.
Again, what happened to the wonderful menu and gracious staff? Even had to request the mint bowl to be filled ! Very poor experience....
Great food and service on a busy MSU grad day!! Our food was fantastic.
Everyone was super nice and the food was phenomenal! The only thing was I wanted to be away from people a little to have privacy but I didn’t really get that.
We were at your restaurant on Saturday, May 4th for my son’s graduation from MSU. I had requested a table by the window but we were shown to a booth that was tight to accommodate 6 adults. Our waiter just did not seem to have the experience as to how to pace the meal from water to wine to appetizer to meal. I was disappointed because our graduation meal with my first son four years earlier was lovely. This was not. Salmon salad was disappointing and waiter/kitchen got the chicken Caesar salad order wrong and brought salmon. Did correct it by bringing a chicken breast later but symptomatic of our whole experience that day. One note, my husband requested oyster crackers for his soup and the waiter went next door to Mitchell’s to get him some. That was nice but I don’t expect that we will return to Bravo anytime soon. The manager came around at the end of our meal but we were on a time deadline and I didn’t get into our unfortunate experience at the time.
The service was wonderful! The waiter was very friendly, patient, and welcoming! Food was served hot and on time!
Better than expected. We had a variety of dishes - main courses and deserts - and all were good.
We went for a graduation and had a wonderful experience. Their salmon is exceptional.
The food here is very consistently good. The service is excellent. Noticed this time that the side salad was smaller than usual, interesting.
Excellent dining experience. Fabulous, broad menu. The serving staff was well trained and efficient.
Bravo was totally overpriced for what we got. The highlight of the meal was the bread and oil they brought out, but the actual meal was a small portion and the food wasn't anything special. As quickly as they brought the food out, I'm pretty sure they just microwaved our stuff in the back and brought it to us. We probably won't be going back any time soon.
I'm sick and tired of moderate/high-end restaurants providing poor service to a guest who appears young. If I'm willing to spend $100 on a meal for my girlfriend and I, I expect top-notch service. First off, we ordered an appetizer, which was excellent but there was no napkins or silverware on the table. We waited almost 10 minutes until I finally flagged down the manager to get us silverware. Once the food was delivered, the waiter never came back to check on us. After he noticed we were done with his meal he brought the bill out, but we were still interested in Dessert to complete our meal. He then brought us a dessert menu. The waiter was very friendly, however, you could tell that he was showing us little attention and wanted to open up the table to a more "qualified" customer. Great food, sickening service.
Quantity of food was very low given the price. My grilled shrimp dish only had 4 shrimp. That was absurd.
Very noisy long wait for entree food Service excellent sat close to the kitchen made a internet reservation day before should have gotten better table
Salmon in salad was not cooked. By the time that a replacement meal was provided, everyone else in the party was finished with their meals.
Family lunch on Easter for a group of 11. Service was great and the food was too. Service and food at this Bravo has always been consistence in my experiences. Nice menu with choices for everyone, including kids.
Excellent service, delicious good! Great prices!
Something went wrong in the kitchen. Food was delayed and not great. Just a bad night from what we could tell.
Our server, Liz, was attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. My wife had the chicken caprese and I had the pork chop. Her chicken was well prepared but the pork chop was outstanding! A grilled pork chop often goes from good to over-cooked and dry. This pork chop was prepared by a grill master. Additionally, the wine list included an un-oaked Chardonnay from Hess, another plus. We will both go back again for the pork chop.
Bravo is a wonderful place to get together with friends in a warm, friendly atmosphere where the food is always predictably tasty with a beautiful presentation and the wait staff is pleasant and knowledgeable, willing to take the “extra step” to insure my satisfaction. It is, also, one of the few moderately priced restaurants in Lansing that will take reservations for any number of diners (2,3,4,5....).
The food and service were very good. The pre-dinner bread and the berry lemonade were excellent! The salad was good but a bit on the small side. Two of the three chairs at our table were scary...very loose and rickety.
Bravo has been a welcome addition to Lansing's dining scene for some time. It continues to maintain a high standard. The variety of courses is expansive. The ambiance is bistro-like and lively. Our waiter was splendid.
The food was not good. The lasagna flavor was terrible and the meat tasted like it was crumbed from a hamburger they didn’t sell. The past bolognese didn’t have much flavor either and only had the same meat no carrots or onions. It was basically pasta and some sauce. We had to ask for some sauce so we felt like we were eating something.
The food was excellent as well as the service. The waiter was very nice and provided great service. The tiramisu was really good as well
Bravo has excellent service and outstanding food. Rosie the manager is the best! She makes the restaurant run excellent.
Service was great. Food was decent. My meal came out very warm but my wife's was a little too cool for her liking. We had dessert and it was great.
Really overpriced. Servers were nice but the policy of having those sauce plates with bread crowded the table and left the table oily. Food was okay but not worth the money. Super tacky plates that say "BRAVO" makes it feel less like a fine dining and more like a night at chuck e cheese.
Our server was very good- attentive and professional. Mainly I felt the prices were high, especially for a really small portion of the lobster ravioli... there were maybe 8 or 9 raviolis thinly spread across the plate... though the taste and texture were spot on.
Changes to the Menu are excellent.
The new appetizer Melted Pecorino is a winner.
Unusual slow Friday. Wait staff could have been more attentive. Food good.
Food was great and came quicker then expected. Lighting is on the lower side but still pretty good for dates and special occasions. Only thing I really and any problem with is; being that's it's a nicer restaurant I would think they would have a dress code of some sort and preferably not allow children. There's no kids menu so it's not exactly a family place. Kinda ruined my date when babies started crying, but I might just be a little salty if you k ow what I mean.
This restaurant was amazing! Came here for a birthday celebration and each meal was delicious. Me and my family began passing around meals across the table because everything was so good! The pasta Woozie was my favorite. The service was also great and fast!
I thought Bravo-Lansing did a good job. As a vegetarian with nut allergies, they made sure that I was able to have multiple options, and as a family of vegetarians, we were all able to have more options because they allowed us to substitute meat for vegetables and even charged us less because we didn't have meat in the dish. Overall, it was pretty good.
We had a group of 9 for a celebratory business meal. Everything was wonderful from the appetizers to desserts. We ordered several different entrees and desserts and all of us were extremely pleased with our food. The service was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Perfect meeting spot. We meet regularly @ Lansing Bravo, with friends from Grand Rapids (we’re from Grand Blanc). Food, drinks, & customer service is impeccable.
