BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Kansas City - Zona Rosa
Garbage.. the worst Bravo ever!!!!
The food was cold. The service was horrible we only got one drink and never got refills the whole meal. Didn’t get bread and oil until after we were done with our soups. Used to be our favorite family spot but probably won’t go back
The food is always good and I love the restaurant. We happened to have a not-so-great server. I don't know if she had too many tables or what, but we had a terrible time getting any drink refills or service. I would still go back, as this is the first time I'have had bad service there.
To be honest, it was ok. The server was great. My mom's food had to be remade because the noodles were not Al dente, they were stuck together. She has the Pasta Pesto. She said it turned out good though. Pasta Woozie was ok, smaller portions than I expected and the presentation was kind of sloppy. I had dry noodles on top. The spinach and artichoke dip was delicious. Beautiful place though.
Terrible experience. Service was awful, the food was bland -would not recommend. I would sometimes have business meals at Bravo. No more. The last visit fixed it for me.
For some examples:
- We had to chase down the waiter to get requested items (bread, olive oil -the stuff you eat when service is very slow)
- We waited longer than any other table around us (even the ones that came later than us) only to learn that not everyone got their meal at our table as orders were completely missed
- The food was not good
- Horrible, horrible, horrible
- We should have gotten the first clue when we saw Dominoes delivering pizzas at the front entrance ....
What a mistake.
Feel bad for my guests too ....
I love the Eggplant Parmesan at Bravo so when my husband asked me where I wanted to celebrate Mother’s Day, I quickly said I want to eat at Bravo! It did not disappoint!
By poor "service" i am referring to lengthy wait for food. Most of our table had scrambled eggs & bacon brunch, which i can whip up at home in 15 mins tops. We waited approx 35 mins for our meals. The one french toast order was served (which was strange in itself), eaten and cleared long before rest of party were served. Restaurant was only at half capacity when we arrived, so why our order was not prioritized accordingly is unknown. No manager ever approached our table with explanation or apology. 6 of 9 guests were in town from Atlanta and were not impressed with Bravo, which is disappointing since its always been a favorite of mine.
Biggest negative was the price for the amount of food served for lunch.
I had my made my reservation only an hour in advance, and when I got there was seated immediately. Our waitress was patient with us as we took the time to decide what to eat. The food came to us only minutes after placing our order with the waitress which was a surprise to me because the place was packed. Overall it was a great experience, and I will be back.
Great food and the service was excellent.
Usually great service and always good food. Today's server was not attentive and seemed to be rushed or pre-occupied with something.
Good food. Quiet, we could hear each other. Good service. Will be returning.
My wife had spaghetti and meatballs and I had the shrimp ravioli. Both were good, not great. We’ve eaten there about half a dozen times over the last few years and the food isn’t as flavorful as it used to be.
Our food was cold and the restaurant was not that busy.
Bravo has been a favorite of mine for years. Unfortunately they recently changed the recipe on my favorite dish, shrimp fra diablo. I continue to be disappointed and haven't found anything else I like as well.
I'll preface this with the fact that it was Prom Weekend...
Service was excellent as usual. All 4 of us at the table commented that the food was just OK. Seasoning was off. Pasta was overcooked for 2 of us and undercooked for the other 2.
We had eaten there just a few weeks ago and food was excellent, so the rush had to be a factor.'
Service was above reproach. Our server checked on us just the right amount of times - never had to look for her and not so many times that it was annoying. Food was served promptly and all of the servers were attentive.
Nothing special but a whole lot better than Olive Garden
Aviance at Bravo is a five it is a beautiful restaurant. The table was set and ready for us when we showed up for lunch.
We celebrated my daughters 21st birthday at BRAVO. The food and the service was wonderful! Makayla took very good care of our party! There were some first times in our party who said they will be back.
We have gone to a more expensive brunch the last several years for Easter. The food was mediocre, and the service was, too. What a difference this year! Our table was ready when we arrived. The server was appropriately attentive, and the food was excellent. Everyone got what she or he wanted, and the bonus was the cost was less than what we've been paying for our Easter meal. I can definitely see us coming back to Bravo next year!
Excellent food and our waiter was terrific!
Fast seating, friendly staff. Hot delicious food. Free bread was hard and crusty. Normally it’s not, so just off today I suppose...
Bravo is consistently excellent! Food, service, environment are all first rate.
Very pleasant experience - the food was delicious, and our server was simply wonderful. She was training a new server, and definitely was an amazing teacher with a super student! On the far side of 'mature' we all have some hearing issues, so the hostess seated us in a wonderfully quiet area of the large restaurant. We had four different entrees - each were delicious. Your customer service is exemplary - and much appreciated. Thank you - we'll be back!
Very nice food and soft quiet ambiance. It was an excellent place to take clients to talk. The waiter obviously knew we were talking business and was great about waiting to interrupt at very appropriate and minimal, but adequate times. The food was very good, although the portion sizes have gotten smaller for the price over the years. A lunch for four, with two getting soup and salad / no alcohol at lunch, was $75 - tip included.. I would still call it a very reasonable value, especially for a business lunch or a very nice family dinner. Parking can be a challenge in the evenings, but at lunch time during the week it is generally not too bad, if you don't mind walking a block or two. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I will return.
In the past we have enjoyed this restaurant, but we were disappointed at the food and handling of our reservation. We made our reservation on Open Table. We arrive 15 minutes early and they acknowledged our reservation, but told us it might be a while as the were hammered! I asked don't they hold open table for reservations or do they overbook their reservation? Got no answer, turned out we were seated on time, but I feel I had to press them to have them honor my reservation.
Service was a bit slow, many table were open, but it appeared they were short handed. The waiter was pleasant, but very rushed. They had some new I Italian pasta dishes put on the menu for a new chef. I ordered the one with Spaghetti with meat sauce and a house salad. There salad was a mess, the apparently use a food processor to chop the lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. the texture was terrible and whatever dressing they used, was tasteless. The pasta was cooked properly, but the ground beef was tasteless and the only sauce on the dish appeared to be some light olive oil. The meal was boring and tasted flat, it had one small slice of hard cheese in the center, no other cheese was visible. The only bright spot was the wine we ordered, it was good. Probably our last trip to this restaurant, it is a bit pricy, which is ok, if the food quality is good.....!
We went to BRAVO to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. I put a notification in the reservation and told the hostess when we arrived. I was highly annoyed when the server brought us our check and failed to acknowledge the birthday. If you do not do anything (sing, bring out a dessert, etc.) then just say so in the beginning.
The food choices use to be wider than it is now. The food quality for just ok. I don’t think I will be visiting anytime soon .
Love this place. Food was excellent, we had a corner to ourselves and could actually hear one another, and our server was excellent. We were able to eat, laugh, eat some more and enjoy each other’s company. We highly recommend
Server "rushed" us through our meal service. Had the entree delivered to us before the appetizers. Then brought the entrees back which were obviously kept under a heat lamp. Kind of ruined our experience that evening. Other small things; deliver check early etc. Food usually good here . Hopefully a one time occurrence.
Great food and service. We try to get together with family members who live in the area and whenever we do, we always go to Bravo for dinner!
The principal reason we choose Bravo! when we dine in Zona Rosa is their willingness to take reservations ... the food is fairly predictable, the prices OK, and - generally - the noise level permits discussion without shouting. Tonight, however, was significantly different from - and measurably superior to - our recent experiences there because of the quality, sensitivity, and genuine concern for our experience that our server (Scott D, server #174) demonstrated throughout. We had a couple of special requests, one relatively simple and one more involved that could easily (and, honestly, understandably) have been declined as not possible ... and Scott exceeded our wishes as to both with grace. We were HIS guests - not the restaurants - and he treated us as such.
Well done, sir ... well done!
We were celebrating a birthday 🎁! Our server this night was especially kind efficient and thoughtful!!!!’
Disappointed in the service from the hosts to the server. Had to ask for things several times (water, bread, bar drinks we ordered, red sauce ordered with pasta, etc. we were disappointed because we’ve dined at other Bravos in the past and had better service.
Wish the Happy Hour prices could be utilized if you are sitting at your table before dinner. Other than that, it was a nice experience.
The food and service never disappoints! We had a group of 17 and the staff did a great job with the quality of service and food in a timely manner!
It was a really nice restaurant and the food was really good. The music was a little loud but before we left they thankfully turned it down but i would recommend trying this place and it is a little dark and there I think it should be a little lighter in brighter but in all it was a very nice restaurant and my husband and I said we will go back
Although the service and ambiance were good, the food was not. Olive Garden's food tastes better.
Restaurant was not busy but service was very slow. Food was okay but not as good as it normally is
