BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Kansas City - Zona Rosa Ratings and Reviews
Food is over priced!! I got the woozie pasta and the chicken was chewy, the pasta was store bought egg noodles and the sauce was tasteless. My boyfriend friend got the pork chops and they were dry. All in all we paid about $75... definitely NOT a $75 meal. I️ won’t be going back.
Bravo's continues to be one of my favorites, whether for a special occasion or just because. I usually get Chicken Marsala, but was set on trying a different entree this time. I chose the grilled salmon. Very tasty with its accompanying side dish. Along with the a la carte salad, I had no room left for my favorite timarisu.
We have eaten here many times but this early Saturday supper was one of the best. Fantastic service! Our waiter was attentive but not over bearing. He offered refills without any request from us (just water), took orders, and delivered food with perfect timing. He offered service without interrupting our conversation. We really enjoyed our dinner together. Thank you!
Food was good. Even though we had reservations and tables were clearly available, we were told we'd have to wait. So we went to the bar and eventually ate there. Our table was finally available 20 to 30 minutes later. Water wasn't offered and staff seemed a bit uncoordinated.
In the recent past the quality has decreased . For this visit the salad was soggy, the pizza was fair and our waitress had on a dirty shirt. We have been going to Bravo since it opened but not in the recent past., because of the changes. I doubt we will return. Disappointed.
Our entire meal, from appetizers to the meal, took over an hour to arrive. There was a 20 minute wait for the oil that comes with the bread. There was no lime in the water per requested, and then, when it did arrive....the lime slices looked dried out and old. Our server forgot half of our order and had to come back to get it again. My steak was suppose to medium rare, and it was medium. Half of our meal was eaten before inquiry to the taste was made. When I asked for steak with pasta, I was initially charged for two entrees, which wasn't brought to my attention ever; I saw it in the final bill. After we called for the manager, she corrected this, but didn't offer any discount or dessert to make up for the inconvenience. In fact, we were never presented with any option for ordering dessert or an after-dinner coffee. I seem to recall Bravo as being more upscale.
I had a reservation at 7:30. Arrived on time. It didn't seem to matter to the hostess that I had a reservation at all. Told to wait and she would call me.
After waiting 10 minutes I went back to the hostess stand and reminded them I had a reservation, all the while seating other people who didn't have reservations. If I didn't go up and remind them, my wait would have been much longer.
What is the point of making a reservation and the Open Table app, if the reservation isn't ready or honored by the restaurant? I don't need attitude from a hostess just because they are busy and I did my part and made a reservation in advance.
Very disappointing and no need for an attitude from a hostess. Made for an unpleasant start to dinner with my wife.
We made reservations for 6p and I'm so glad we did! The place was packed but it didn't stop us from promtly being seated within 5 minutes of arriving.
From entering the restaurant to leaving, service was fantastic! Our waiter was amazing as well!
For a family of 5, it was a tad pricey but nothing more than you would spend at Olive Garden ( which I will not be back to after visiting Bravo!)
The food is always excellent. I do believe the menu could be a bit more exciting for the money spent. Nothing really grabbed my attention and I love Italian food. The service was slow and a bit sloppy felt like the server dropped my plates in front of me. But overall I enjoy eating there.
Each member in my party ordered a salad with their meal. We didn't receive our salads for 40 minutes. We were seated near the kitchen, so I could overhear the problem. Somehow our salads were never made, and our waitress never checked to make sure we received them. Our entrees were then ready, but sat under the warmer for 20 minutes while they threw the salads together and served them. Our meals were not anywhere near fresh. Also, the entree I ordered that is always my "go-to" had gone up in price by $2 and shrunk in size.
