BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Indianapolis - Willowlake
You can always count on Bravo for consistently good food. Salmon is always wonderful and my husband went it for the pork chops but got the grass fed beef meatballs bolognese (for the second time) and loved it.
Great food and service! Went on a Tuesday night after our daughter's science fair and it was a perfect ending to our day. We will definitely be back.
Thank you for the two for one on entries for our meal. We went at lunch time on a cold day. Food was outstanding. Server could have brought the salad separately instead of along with the entries. But all in all good experience. Will return
Love Bravos. Great food! Great people and love love love the bread.
Wish they had more dairy free options
It has been years since we have gone to bravo, We were looking forward to the bread and dipping oil. The quality of bread has changed. Our server was terrible. We had to ask for everything. Service was extremely slow. They overcooked a steak. It was clear to our server the steak was overcooked. He took it back to re prepare. It took at least 15 minutes to get the meal back out. The order should have been escalated but instead was entered like an order. We had to ask for our bill as well as our to go box. Our server was interested in visiting with his coworker friends rather than taking care of his tables. Very disappointing experience.
Great food and atmosphere, as always, a consistent favorite
My Mediterranean salad was delicious and my husband's was what he likes which like the way the Italian makes it. Service was a bit slow in the beginning but our food server was wonderful.
Service was less than poor.
No spontaneous acknowledgement of special occasion
Waitress was abrupt, abrasive, inattentive, indifferent.
As a regular patron I was very disappointed that I brought my family that evening.
Our waiter was amazing. He kept checking on us, and always made sure we were fine. The environment is good overall. We were asked if everything was good by someone else other than our waiter. We were 30 minutes late to our reservation, but they were still able to find us a table within 10 minutes, which was great! The people who work there are very friendly and attentive. The food and wine were great.
Where to start?
Made a reservation and immediately got sat at a nice table. Waitress was nice and promptly got our drink order and appetizers in. We ordered our dinner and waited...and waited...and waited. It took over an hour for us to get our food. Once the food came out, it was cold and appeared that it had been sitting in the kitchen for quite sometime before waitress realized it was ready. After letting our waitress know, she took the food back and it seemed to be reheated in a microwave (it was back at the table in under 5 minutes and barely warm). We were comped a dessert as an apology and that was perfectly fine. Food was good but later caused upset stomachs in both of us. I wish it would have gone better, but it just didn’t. I don’t think we will be going back again.
Great, convenient, economical place for Valentine’s Day!
service a bit slow. had to ask twice for iced tea. took forever to get a drink for 1 party member. We are not terribly picky, but took a long time for food to come out. good news is the food was great.
Great for a girls night out. Enjoyed the Devour INDY Menu for a reasonabless price.
New ownership! We've been fans of Bravo for years, but lately, they've been 'off' a bit.
I see that they have new ownership, eager to satisfy, and the quality of the food is back up. Very pleased they're good once again.
I came for lunch with seven friends and had a lovely lunch. Wedding soup was wonderful!
Great place for Italian food.
Didn’t taste good at all, pricey, like a less tasty too expensive Olive Garden. No one was there so that was probably a sign that it wasn’t great. The menu was extremely limited so there wasn’t much to choose from either.
Slow server ... drinks took a long time.
Ordered lobster bisque and salad they didn’t come before the meal. Waitress asked if I wanted it to go. I still wanted it. The bowl came and it was mushroom.
I did get one to go.
The restaurant had run out of veal by 6:30 pm. The bread was also being rationed at 6:30 pm. Not very good planning for New Years Eve.
We have bee going to your willow lake restaurant for years. Something has happened...in a negative way. Menu is smaller, salad or soup doesn’t come with major entrees (steak dinner), and quality of food was just ok. There was also no ‘special’ offered. It is sad that you had to ratchet down offerings and quality to save your bottom line. The wait staff was really good though
Please look at what you did well, and ramp up your quality and menu options again; if not, I’m sad to predict that this chain will fail with all the competition.
There were 7 of us. The waiter, seemed a little rattled, but dont get me wrong he was nice, some of my friends were a little offended, they heard him reading the dessert menu to another table, but never offered our table.
I made a reservation and we got seated as soon as we arrived. The waiter was great and knew the menu very well. We received our food fast, never had to ask for a refill on drinks the waiter was on top of it and very professional. Best waiter we have had there. Food was excellent.
Dipping oil is exceptional. Menu reduced, missing some seafood items although lobster ravioli remains. Also seems to be fewer vegetarian options. Still one of the best Italian chains, e.g. much better value than Maggiano's and more adult than Olive Garden.
The ambiance was very quiet and relaxing even for a busy night. We went on Christmas Eve. I was pleasantly surprised at the new chef and menu. We will definitely be back.
Going to Bravo is always a special occasion for us, we like this location because it's only 5 minutes from our residence. Anthony was or server for the evening and he did an outstanding job. Thanks Anthony!! The food is always great, we've never had a bad experience.
Menu has changed and they now offer grass fed beef and organic chicken meatballs! I do not think the other chicken on the menu is organic though:( And the fish is not wild caught. They have gluten free pasta, but we tried it a few months ago and it was really bad. There is gluten free pasta that is good....Bravo needs to find it. Palomino has excellent gluten free pasta. We continue to go here for Xmas Eve because it is a long standing tradition. Their bread has always been excellent. This time was the first ever that we were served dry bread. I asked to have the soft bread because who wants to waste calories on dry bread...esp when you know what their bread is supposed to be like! Our waiter then brought us the soft bread. Very disappointing that he would try to give us the bad bread:( That should not have been served. The shrimp scampi and lasagna were delicious as always. The chicken scallopini was edible. The pesto pasta was dry and the chicken was dry. Would not order again. The house salad was excellent! I appreciated that our waiter offered to split an order between my daughter and me...was the perfect amount. It was an enjoyable dinner. We appreciate that they are open on Xmas Eve! Thank you to all the staff.
Great waitress, very attentive, we had a great family time, great prices
Our visit to this Bravos was one of the worst experiences we have every had. Our visits to Bravos on the North side of Indy have been very enjoyable, but not Willow Lake. Our server took our order and we waited 18 minutes for salads to arrive. No bread was brought. When bread arrived, I requested some butter. It took 10 minutes to arrive. Our server then came back and said our order had been lost. We had to reorder our entrees. All the manager said was he was sorry. The server never did apologize for her service. We will not be back to his location.
First visit since change in menu. Not happy with quality of appetizer ( calamari). It used to be one of my favorite things, horrible calamari strips. I viewed Bravo as a higher end chain restaurant. Now, overall, I would say that Bravo is on same level as Olive Garden. Not bad but.certainly not the level I had come to expect from my previous visits.
Food was good but would rather drive farther to the other bravo location. Got seated at the most weird table, they threw it in an awkward space where it seemed like they had forgotten about us and just threw a table out there. The east backed up into another table. Area was unlit except for this table where it was bright af. Service was okay, nothing special. Will not go back to this one. Setup was bad, service was okay, and food was okay would rather go to a different bravo
We have fined at this location countless times since it opened- almost always great service & food. This occasion was dramatically different- we had a very uncaring and unpleasant server- she didn’t want to be there it seemed and was unkind and unhelpful and did the bare minimum that a server should do. Did not make us feel comfortable at all. I also received the wrong dinner- the person that brought the food said it was the kitchens fault not the server & showed us the written order- so she wasn’t at fault, but I got zero apology from her and it was really upsetting. The manager did stop by, and offered a take-home of what I did order, but the server said not a word. They should have no charges me for their error but didn’t. If I ever go back and this server is assigned to my table, I will ask for another. I had also marked my reservation as Special Occasion, but we got no mention or inquiry about it/ nothing. We will go back as usually this place is great. One employee can ruin it though. You can usually tell when the server comes to the table.. from now on if we get bad vibes, I’ll ask for another server.
Good food. New menu. Tired decor. Poor lighting. Too bright.
Birthday dinner with a party of four. Server was fairly pleasant, but the service was lacking. He had to be asked more than once about everything and we were not demanding. Aside from the service, the food was excellent. I was sad to see that veal marsala was not on the menu and the chef was able to make it. It was among the best I’ve ever had. I tasted the mashed potatoes and they were very good as well. This was a birthday and we had grown accustomed to a token birthday dessert offered, but that did not happen.
Food was terrific and our server Kevin was great.
Thanks for the new vegetarian options.
Our visit was not great. The food was just ok, and waitress was fine until we paid our bill. Waitress was upset with part of my party when the bill was incorrect.
Service was extremely poor, meals were forgotten, drinks were wrong and now refils were ever offered, food overpriced, our first and LAST trip to Bravo's...…..what a flop
Very disappointing! This has been our ‘go to’ restaurant for several years, but not any more!! They must be under new management and a new chef! The menu has been totally changed with 3 of our favorite dishes having been eliminated. (3 out of 4 people disappointed!). They seem to have eliminated the few healthy choices they had been on the menu also. Flatbreads have been replaced by regular doughy pizza. Our favorite chopped salad has also been eliminated. I tried the Mediterranean Salad which was very bland and had 3 thin slices of roasted zucchini plus 2 tiny bits of asparagus on some cut up iceberg lettuce (11.99!). Our server was very personable but obviously was never trained on how to be a good waiter. He tried unsuccessfully to push the new additions to the menu. My wife was served her entree salad and I was served my cup of soup at the same time. She was later served a bowl of soup while the rest of us got our entrees. Our other two diners had to wait for their entrees so my wife waited to eat until they were served and discovered she didn’t have a spoon and we couldn’t get our waiters attention until her soup was cold and had to be replaced. He kept serving everyone by often reaching across people to place items instead of going from behind. Often interrupting conversations and never excusing himself. He was very quick to ask if we were ready to pay our bill! No manager was to be seen and as we left—no acknowledgement of our departure or how everything was!! Positives—Mushroom soup was excellent as was the shrimp appetizer.
