BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Des Moines - Jordan Creek
Loved Bravo! Great for a family get together!! Food was absolutely amazing and delicious!!
We were very disappointed in the service. It took 15 minutes to get water and 20 minutes to get fresh bread. We even had to go ask for to-go containers and our ticket. We will not be back.
The server we had was rude, unprofessional, and impersonal. There were tables being served food before us, even though we ordered before them, also I had to ask our server to wash his hands after I seen him rubbing his fingers through his hair he got offended as it seemed. I have previous restaurant experience for over 20 years. Great customer service is a must or you will loose customers, I am very disappointed the service we received.
The biggest issue I have with this place or my luck with this place is their running out of Entrees during normal dinner hours. Lasagna seems to me should always be available through dinner and yet twice, I have gone, ordered Lasagna and then had the server come back to tell me they were out. This last time, I switched to Chicken Parm and it came out dry.
We were there for their Mother’s Day Brunch and were disappointed in the lack of brunch menu items. I believe there were only four or five options to choose from or you could order from their standard menu. We asked for jam for the toast and was told they don’t have any. The Pasta Bravo was lacking in flavor and the Bolognese was mediocre. The service was decent although our server was loud and seemed a little out of her element. The desserts were the highlight of the meal with the caramel cheesecake the clear winner. The bruleed caramel was a nice touch. Overall, I don’t recommend Bravo as a brunch destination. It was a letdown.
Always a pleasant experience. Our go-to place for special events.
We went to Bravo for Mothers Day brunch. We would have liked a little larger menu of breakfast items to choose from but the three were excellent
Maybe it was an off night but it took 40 minutes to get our drink order. Food was just ok.
Food was great. Restaurant was clean and nice decor. Service could have been better. Had to ask for things a couple of times before getting them. Example: extra bread and grated cheese on entrees. I had oil spilt on me. I have eaten there before and had great service. I think this was an off night.
I have enjoyed many of a dinner at this restaurant, however this most recent encounter was less than normal. Service was poor, food quality was not as previously enjoyed and the overall experience seemed as if it was a different restaurant.
The service was horrible!!!! 20 minutes to get water. No refills on drinks. Very short staff, but not busy. Waitress went through motions. Not friendly or apologetic. Was for my husbands birthday and VERY disappointed. We love Bravo, but it will be awhile if we return!!
Friend dinner, Everything was good & we like that we can bring our own wine
Never disappoints! We had to add 2 more people and they were great about it!
I do not recommend using open table to book your reservation, when my party arrived they couldn't locate the reservation and I even followed up with the restaurant prior to the lunch meeting.
We haven't been to Bravo in a few months so we were intrigued when we saw a new menu. My wife had the lobster ravioli (as far as I know this item is not new) and I had the spaghetti with meatballs. The menu indicated that the recipe had changed and I must say it was very good! My wife said she planned to get the spaghetti with meatballs the next time we come.
While the food was decent, I have mixed feelings about recommending Bravo Cucina. The atmosphere and service were great, I was simply not amazed with the food. This was my 1st time to experience Bravo Cucina.
This was the perfect Easter lunch for our party of 6! We arrived almost 30 minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately. We were seated in a small side room and it just so happened we had the room to ourselves. Our waitress was attentive and responsive but we also felt fairly relaxed through our dinner. All together a great experience
Easter dinner with my folks
Even though the service was a little slow.during peak hours, I would still recommend it to friends and families.
The red sauce on my chicken parm, was very dry needs to be improved.
We called ahead for reservations and it an hour half wait for the first table. We arrived 45 minutes early and the staff was able to get us in between prom guest. The waitress (Madison) was very good as well as the staff. We would recommend BRAVO to anyone who enjoys Italian food at a reasonable price. The food was excellent.
Service was great! Michael is courteous and strives to please. As always, the food was spectacular! Keep up the good work?
Delicious, affordable Italian food. Waiter was nice and attentive. Restaurant is in a great area, perfect to walk around in (weather permitting). Sad we didn't get to try dessert (was too full from dinner)
Always do a good job. Service and food is always consistent and good. Keep up the good work; look forward to patio opening up soon!
Wonderful ambiance, food and service! We would highly recommend!
The cook was a little off the night my party visited. I am a frequent guest and have not had these issues before. Otherwise great place to have a meal. Would certainly recommend it to a friend!!
Our second time to this venue, this time for my wife’s birthday. A faultless visit, had great service and my wife loved your putting a candle on her cheesecake! We love the food and will definitely be coming back more often
Made a reservation to celebrate my husbands birthday. We were seated at a table right next to the restrooms, kitchen and server station. Busboys continually passed by our table carrying a bucket of dirty dishes which they would carry over my husbands head. I can see getting this table if you walk in off the street and that’s all that’s left. Not for a reservation. Our waitress also seemed rushed, didn’t follow up on our drink order, left empty water glasses while we were still eating, etc.
The food we ordered came out surprisingly fast. Every part of our dinner experience was good.
We went here on a Wednesday night to celebrate my wife's birthday. I had made reservations ahead of time for a table for 5. There was no wait while we got there and it wasn't too crowded. The wait staff was very attentive, helping us pick a bottle of wine, and then getting some pizza dough for the kids to play with. I was less impressed with the food. The lasagna had an alfredo sauce that was a bit different and the chicken parmigiana sauce seemed watered down. The pizza for the kids and the gelato for dessert were excellent though.
Michael was a great server........polite, attentive, personal. Food was excellent.
Menu was changed to remove some of our favorite (and healthier) dishes. Interior is getting worn and due for an update. Service was just okay.
Always enjoy the food. Sometimes the service is not great. Had some interesting experiences here in regards to service. Overall, fine.
Something happened with one of the chefs so running very far behind. Manager came and spoke with us but not until it had been an hour. Heads up earlier would have been nice. When we first arrived we waited a long time before we received water, bread, were asked for our order. They did fairly compensate us but overall the service was quite slow. Food was good. Although when it finally came one of our kids didn’t receive their meal.
Waitress did a poor job. Took us almost 2 hours to have our order taken.
As always our experience was great. Wouldn't expect any thing less. My steak was just the way I like it. Our server was very attentive without being annoying. I appreciate that so much. We'll be back.
Great pasta dishes! Salads delish! Service was exceptional considering half the staff was home! One of a few places in DM that will make your meal fresh, hot, yummy. My go to place. Bravo 👏🏻 Bravo!
My wife and I went to Bravos Sunday as they had a Happy Hour all day long. Thus, we enjoyed our martinis and the price. They also had a promotion of "buy one entree and the second one is free" and we took advantage of that, too. And took well enough home for dinner the next day! Always fun and friendly and very good food. Love their rolls!
Our waiter was HORRIBLE! after waiting 20 min for ice water and him to take our orders, we continued to listen to the conversations that the wait staff were having about their customers at other tables. Apauling, rude, and on a very busy evening, this left a sour feeling and ruined what should have been a great evening out. Never got refills and had to ask other staff for more bread. Our waiter was spotted over by the to go area several times drinking and chatting it up with other staff while our food sat in the window. The manager at one point hollered at the staff to get the food out and move. We talked to the Manager on the way out about our experience. He said he will use our feedback for ongoing training.
This is a very nice restaurant that is perfect for special occasions. The food is excellent and the service is great. It is not a cheap place to eat but worth every penny. If going there on a weekend I would recommend getting a reservation.
