BRAVO Cucina Italiana - Cranberry Township - Cranberry
BRAVO! Cranberry is located just 25 miles outside of Pittsburgh off of Route 79. We are 5 miles from Westinghouse World Headquarters and the Mario Lemieux complex. We are also 10 miles away from the Ross Park Mall and are surrounded by many hotels.
Excellent service and food. Booth waiting for us per request per Open Table reservation. Open Table reservations ALWAYS work.
Eggplant was soggy and greasy, pasta was cold. Second time I’ve had an inferior meal here. Would not recommend this location
Our favorite when driving this way. Delicious new menu and the food tastes like my mother's. Highly recommend, especially since they have customer service down to perfection, and the chef is fabulous. Also along the main route on and off the PA Turnpike.
We have been going to Bravo’s for 15 years and this was the worst experience. The eggplant Parmesan was over cooked with poor taste. The waiter never even checked to see how it was. The chicken Marsala was tough. The restaurant was largely empty. Now we know why!1
Had lunch for mothers day. The food was just ok. Service was great. It was ridiculously loud in the restaurant. We sat next to the open kitchen. Chef and servers yelling out orders. Open kitchens are so 10 years ago. if they change this, it would greatly cut down on the noise. no desire to eat there again..couldn't hear each other over the noise.
Was sat 30 minutes after reservation time. Food used to be better before Bravo paired down their menu in half and form this felt like there was limited options. I feel the food was okay but not worth the money paid for. Waitress was nice but felt like we didn't see her for awhile and therefore everything was slower and didn't get refills on drinks or bread timely or at all.
It was so busy because it was Mother's Day eve. The staff was so nice and gracious eventhough they were working so hard to get everyone served. We had a very nice time. Thank you Bravo Cranberry!
Had a 5:30 reservation for the Saturday before Mother’s Day but weren’t seated until 6:15. We waited at the table for 15 minutes, and no one came to help us so we flagged someone down. My wife had a glass of wine in which both the glass and container from which the wine was poured were both filthy. Our table ordered four salads, one of which was incorrect so it was replaced (more on this later). We had two small children with us so we requested their kids meals come out as soon as possible as it was already much later than expected. When our meals arrived only the adult offerings were served...we had to request the kids meals again. Two of the four adult meals were lackluster in taste and quantity.
When the check arrived the total was $76. We assumed items had been comped given the issues we had experienced. When our waitress returned after swiping my card the bill was now $116 (explanation given was that not all items had been included in the initial bill we saw). Reviewing the check more carefully showed the correct items listed with the addition of one salad...they charged us for an extra salad for the one that was incorrect. The extra salad was taken off the bill, but it was just one more reason why this was an extremely poor experience.
This was a restaurant we enjoyed meeting family at in the past, but we’ll be looking for a different spot for future meals.
Food was very good and waitress was nice and attentive without being overbearing.
Food was very salty. Menu doesn’t change. Boring. Unhealthy & poor quality food.
Waitress was exceptional... menu was okay but limited... was not crowded and was seated right away... other restaurant’s in the area were crowded... wondering if the menu was the reason?
We have family members in the area, as we live in New England, so every time we visit, this Bravo is our meeting place for a wonderful dinner. Never disappoints in any aspect of helping us to make family memories. The food is delicious and the service always attentive and friendly. Can’t wait to return.
My birthday at a table ..... a gourmet selection of perfectly prepared food and wine at a price just above your average restaurant. I recommend Bravo to any one who truly wants to celebrate special occasions.
Appetizers -- plate -- wine and dessert for a "inclusive" price.
Food and service were great
We have been patronizing this restaurant ever since it opened, which is probably close to 20 years. My oldest daughter got her first job here. It's one of the first places we think of when we want something a little nicer than most of the restaurants in this area. We know that the biggest issue is that it's so popular, there is always a wait for a table, especially on a weekend night. When my wife and I decided to come this Saturday, I checked, and wow, they accepted OpenTable reservations. This is great I thought!, no wait. I was a bit suspicious that they seemed to have available reservations every 15 minutes. We selected 7:30. We showed up a few minutes late, and because of that, I expected we would have to wait a little. There was a lot of turn over, so I didn't expect it to be too long. They were quoting 30 minutes for walk ups, about normal. Then we discovered that "reservation" doesn't mean what you think it means at Bravo. We were seated approximately in the order of arrival, 25 minutes after the reservation time, within a few minutes of no reservation. About 7 two tops were seated before us, plus a couple larger parties.
The kitchen was very slow. It was about 30 minutes from order to main course, and all we had besides the mains was a soup, which was delivered promptly. We waited a very long time for our desert order and by that time half the tables were empty.
The soup (black bean) was excellent. My wife's lasagna was as we remember it: huge portion, lots of meat sauce, lots of cheese, very tasty. My Shrimp Fra Diavolo was not what I am used to. They skimped on the sauce, the shrimp was a bit overcooked and the dish served lukewarm. Desert was great.
Our server was very good. Attentive, friendly, accurate, helpful.
But the non-reservation reservation really was disappointing. We'll be back, but perhaps not as often, and we certainly won't bother trying to reserve a table, since they don't really reserve anything.
First of all the place was too cold. People were wearing jackets while eating. I actually would have needed a hat and gloves to be comfortable. When telling the Mgr about it she claimed it was due to a banquet room door being open and closed it, but nothing changed the cold air conditioning was blowing on us. Now to the food, I always thought chicken parm had cheese and sauce over the chicken. But what i was served was a over cooked fried too hard chicken without any cheese or sauce on it. The side of angel hair was red in tint but also dry without sauce. The server was clueless and never checked on us throughout the meal. That is two bad meals in the last month at Bravo and i will never return.
GramMa and Great GramMa want to have their family B Day dinner here. The staff & food always make a hit.
Their Lasagne and lobster ravioli is so yummy!! We love it here!
We celebrated our Easter at Bravo’s with family. The service and food was excellent. Our ONLY complaint was how cold the restaurant was. We had to leave our coats on and even then we were still cold.
This is a great place to take kids for celebrations. You get a delicious meal and can celebrate with family. It feels slightly fancy but is definitely kid friendly!
Our sever was extremely sweet and funny. We had a hyper toddler with us and she handled it very well.
My only issue was with the server. She seemed to try to hurry our dining time
When the tip was added to the final total it was 20$ more than what is was supposed to be. We called the restaurant and they fixed it promptly but it was my mothers card and its a good thing she checks her card every morning.
Waitress was wonderful.
The Chicken Marsala wine sauce was a little thick. Wont order it again.
Good service, not happy with menu change, appetizers are no where as good as the old ones.
We had a family get together and discovered that Monday evening dinner is a great time to have such an event. The restaurant was not crowded or noisy, the service was speedy, and for the most part the food and drink were good. There was a hair in my salmon with vegetables, I suspect in with the vegetables. That was unpleasant but it would keep me from returning.
What might keep me from going back is that the area outside of the ladies room and the ladies room smelled awful. I'm not sure what the issue was but it was a disgusting smell and a real stomach turner, particularly for a restaurant.
Otherwise, the restaurant was clean and all was good.
We always enjoy going to Bravo. Their artichoke/spinach dip is to die for! (Don't eat too much though because you'll be too full for the main meal)
The main dishes are all very good too, but we personally go for the pasta. It's a comfort food place :-)
Consistent great food prepared the way you request! Easy to get a table. Staff professional.
Service was good but don’t like the new menu. Many of our favorite dishes are gone. Probably won’t be bavk
They changed the menu, took off the good meals. The price is way to high for the amount of food you get. The noise level is way to high.
I’m in love with the Shrimp Napoli appetizer and I was not disappointed! It was out of sight!
Our waiter Rachael could not have been more attentive and accommodating.
Love Bravo’s food.. the noise level is a little loud! But the food being so good we handled just fine!
Waitress was AWESOME -We were party of 6 and she was very patient and understanding and funny - food was EXCELLENT - 5 of us ordered the Salmon with asparagus - was sooooooo good - one ordered chicken capellini and she said that was good too - wonderful experience
Tables with no children’s should be placed togethe. Did a reservation on open table got an email the next day that I wasn’t there. Had 2 filet mignon dinners with drinks so was there.
Took 15 minutes until we were greeted, another 15 until drinks came. Only half of the meals came to the table, the other half came 20+ minimum later, no one asked us how everything was. Waitress seemed overwhelmed. I think the checks were not processed correctly either. I love Bravo, it’s usually very good, but this was the worst experience I have ever had.
Rachael is the best waitress, which is why I go anymore. I used to LOVE the food at Bravos and went once or twice a weekend! but since the new owerns, it's not good at all.
This was previously one of our favorite restaurants. However, it keeps going down hill. The portion size has been cut in half, menu favorites are gone, service was mediocre at best. Marinara sauce was overly sweet. Our request for more parmigiana cheese was ignored.
I feared I hadn't allowed enough time for our party of six to have a somewhat relaxed dinner before we had to be at an event 20 miles away, but your staff came through! I mentioned our deadline to our server and he ensured that our food arrived in very good time. All of our meals--salads with meat and fish, shrimp, pizza, soup--were tasty. We were very pleased and got to our event on time!
Food really lacked taste compared to when we were there in the past. Really a let down, but service was impeccable!
Wish i knew that i get Bravo reward points for checking in for each visit.
Tried the pesto pasta.... was a little dry and was disappointed.
Loved their happy hour drinks and apps!
Excellent food and service! We will be back!!! Our sever was very good and polite.
